BRYAN'S GARAGE DOOR SOLUTIONS

I was so pleased that when my garage door opener really did break, he was the first person I called!

We contacted Bryan on 6/20 and talked about him working on our groaning and creaking garage door. We also asked him about fixing the "man-door" on the garage. Since Bryan was on some other already-scheduled projects, he asked us if we could set up a time to review the work later in the week. We understood and were happy to oblige, as our garage door was adequately functional. We had Bryan come out 6/23 and he sized up the situation. He asked us when the garage door was installed (2000?) and if we had lubricated anything (no, we didn't know what we should be doing with it). Bryan proceeded to lubricate all the moving parts of the door (rollers, bearings, hinges). He noticed that one of the tracks was not aligned properly at its upper extremity, and properly aligned the track. (Thanks heaps, "Mr. Mass-Market Garage Builder") He also noticed that the interior door opening handle was installed on the side of the door rather than in the center of the door (another deficiency of our beloved garage builder). He relocated the handle. When observing the door travel, Bryan noticed that the "carrier" (I guess that's the term for the device that travels along the track) came to rest up against the upper stop bolt on the rail by the opener motor (yet another deficiency of our beloved garage builder) . He set the upper travel limit to make the door stop about an inch short of hitting the stop-bolt. Bryan observed that one of the bearings was out of alignment and that the rod itself was scored. Bryan re-aligned the bearing and ground down the groove on the shaft. He noticed that the springs were rust-covered and binding. He saturated the spring with his spray lubricant and then adjusted the spring so that it would not bind. Bryan recommended a spray lubrication product (a hyphenated product name that does not have a number in it) to use on the moving parts. As for working on our "man-door", Bryan declined. He did offer suggestions on things we could do to make that door work better. We appreciate that! Regarding timeliness, we have no complaints - especially considering the devastation in the Elmhurst, IL area from a nasty storm (6/21) and the ensuing traffic delays. Bryan was most frustrated and apologetic that his travel estimate to our place was a half-hour longer than he predicted. Far be it from me to hold that against him! I understand!

Our garage door stopped working on a weekend. We called "Bryan's Garage Door Solutions" on Sunday afternoon. He answered and gave us a quote. He came the next day and because he didn't have in storage the exact system we agreed upon, he gave us the next system up in quality with no difference in price! So, we got an even better system for the same price as the one lower! The service was great and the work the same. We were very pleased with him. The work was clean and fast. We are planning to use him again in the future if needed. We found our garage door expert!

My old garage door was starting to sag in the middle and would not close on its own anymore. I called him in the evening and Bryan explained on the phone to push up on the sagging panel when it was going past the curve in the track to get it closed for the time being. He explained my options for a new door and encouraged me to review the choices on the website. He then came out the next day to inspect the door and to write up an estimate. He explained the differences that the new door would have like upgraded springs, better track wheels, better insulation, and sturdier panels. We agreed upon a time a couple of days later and he installed the new door and removed the old one. Overall, excellent service and garage door. I would definitely recommend Bryan and call him again for garage door service.

Called Wednesday night, he was in the area the next day and fixed springs by 10:00 am. Made sure door was balanced and operating properly. Returns calls promptly, professional in his work. Would recommend him to anyone needing garage door or opener repairs,

Bryan was great, he kept in touch on ETA all day. Actually talked me out of spending more money on a new opener. Just replaced broken springs and gave the door and opener a little tune up. Will definately use again when anything happens to my garage door again. Thanks Bryan

My overall experience with this company and the consultation was beyond excellent. Bryan was very informative and advised clear differences on three different types of doors. He presented in a professional manner examples and explanations about the products and expectations. When they did the installations they obviously knew what they were doing and very meticulous in the detail of the process. They knew what they were doing and even went beyond expectation when he noticed a dent in one panel and quickly got on the phone to make sure a good piece was delivered to him on the spot. He was also informative about warranty information and took it upon himself to advise about possible home energy credit information that "might" be relevant. It did turn out to be a savings to us. I was very pleased with Bryan and this company for every reason. They were very proficient, very detailed, careful, knowledgeable and clearly stood by his work.

When Bryan came out, he measured the door because he was concerned that the builder was taking advantage of us. Bryan said he could remove one panel and replace it to make the door 7 feet for much less than the builder was probably charging us for a whole new door. I called the builder and asked them to break out their garage door cost (I didn't tell him what Bryan and I had agreed to for replacing a panel). Turns out their price for the door wasn't substantially higher than what Bryan and I agreed to for labor and a new panel. Apparently the builder makes a profit in other areas, so I decided to go with the builder. Bryan suggested that I call the builder back to make sure the door was the same top-quality door that he had installed, and I confirmed that it was comparable. Since we were using the door opener and pad that Bryan had previously installed, Bryan offered to take them down himself to make sure they would work properly when the builder re-installed them. Since he offered to do that, I offered him the door for nothing--hey it was going to be scrapped in the demo anyway. I've always found Bryan to be very customer-focused. Last year our door was making noises (totally our fault because we hadn't lubricated it), and a wheel had come off the track. Normally, I'm sure this type of work would be out of warranty after several years, but Bryan came out, put the wheel back on and lubricated everything for us and charged nothing. Throughout this whole back-and-forth with the builder, Bryan was very helpful and concerned about helping out a customer. I'd highly recommend him!

I purchased a garage door from Bryan in 2003. The finish on the door was deteriorating and when I recently contacted Bryan for assistance he was extremely helpful. He gave me information on how to contact the manufacturer and what I needed to report to them. I was extremely pleased that after 8 years Bryan was still in business and he was just as helpful and professional as I remembered. He worked with the manufacturer to get my replacement door ordered and notified me when he received it. He installed the new panels and reattached my garage door opener for $200

Bryan was the most professional of the 3 places I called and was the only one to both give quality advice on door brand plus automatically upgrade the hardware. I'm a long term homeowner and really appreciated that he offered quality, value and, what I thought, was the best door package for longevity and reliability. Not only do the doors look fantastic inside and out with the added dual-pane windows, but they qualified for an energy tax rebate and kept the garage really warm this winter. Quite an improvement from the drafty old wooden doors. I highly recommend Bryan. He's responsive, professional and does very good work.

On both occasions Bryan showed great professionalism, from the intial phone call, scheduling a time that fit our schedule and all the way to the work being performed. He explained the entire installation process when he arrived and gave me an estimated time for the work to be completed. As a homeowner, I asked questions during the installation and took the time to address my concerns. During his repair, he promptly began his work and finished without issues. Overall, I would rate his work as outstanding and would recommend him to others.

Bryan came out at around 8:30 PM to fit my repair in before he ended his day, which was very accommodating and didn't require me to take any time off work. He was very professional and knowledgeable, worked quickly and made sure to explain everything in detail. Pricing was also on par or better than other places I called for estimates. He also installed high quality parts with very long life expectancy. Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend him.

We've used them before. It was fantastic and there were no problems at all. They provide excellent service. They came out on time and did the service quickly. They were quite reasonably priced. We would definitely use them again.

I have used Bryan a few years back and had a wonderful experience. He is honest, direct and a man of his word. So when my mother's newer garage door would not open I contacted Bryan without hesitation. Bryan promised to come out before the end of the day on the day we contacted him. He shared he had a busy day with appointment but would make sure he went to my mom's house before the end of the day. He asked some probing questions about the issue, requested we check the door and diagnosed a broken spring. When he arrived later that day, he was 100% correct. He quickly installed the new spring and offered some suggestions on preventative measures we could do to help prolong the life of the springs. You hear about dedicated small business owners who truly care about thier customers and their craft. This is Bryan----honest, direct, fair and gifted when it comes to garage doors. He is the best! I would gladly recommend him to all my family and friends.

Call Bryan on Friday to fix a broken spring on my garage door. I had to leave for work and my wife wasn't home so we agreed on an 11-2 window on Saturday. He called ahead when he was on his way and was prompt and efficient. He even waived the Saturday fee due to not realizing it was the weekend when we scheudled the appt, which I though was nice. Overall a great experience. Friendly, fast, and reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone needing repairs. I paid $20 for the job. He was very kind. I could not get the garage door to open or close. Something was basically blocking the sensor. He came out all the way. He could have charged me for the service call, but he did not. He adjusted the sensor. I had used him in the past in my other house as well. I would definitely recommend him and I would use him again in the future.

I had originally ordered a garage door from Home Depot. After waiting more than a month and a half, they did not have the proper materials for installation on the delivery date. I called a few local companies, but Bryan was the first to respond. He had my door delivered and installed the next day. I was surprised how quickly he installed the door and opener. He is not a novice, and he takes a lot of pride in his work. I am not an expert on garage doors, but I compared my door to a neighbor's who had purchased at the Home Depot. While the doors looked pretty much the same, the springs were dramatically different. My spring was larger and heavier, and my door works smoother. We both paid about the same amount for our doors and have the same door opener. I am very satisfied with my door and the service that I got from Bryan.

The project went very well. He actually had done some work for us in the past. I don't recall the cost because my husband took care of that. He was reliable. He called quickly. His service was very prompt. I have no complaints. Everything worked just fine. I would definitely recommend him to other people.

I called Bryan when I saw cable disconnected. He was very helpful in telling me what to look for, he gave me a very reasonable estimate and made easy arrangements to repair the door while I was at work. After the service he called and explained what he found and discounted me the amount I had left because the cable did not need replacing. I picked Bryan because of his great ratings on Angie's list and I can see they are well deserved. Any future work on my garage will go to Bryan and I will recommend him to my neighbors. Our garage door opener broke the day before a large holiday party and we had very little time to get it fixed before the long weekend and we had a lot on out plate. Bryan has early hours and answered his cell at 7:30. He informed us we were 4th on his list and would give us a call to let us know well in advance he was on his way. He was as good as his word and was able to take a look around 11:30. He found the problem to be a gear assembly was broken and he could rebuild for $200. A brand new opener was $350. I never felt an aggressive attempt to upsell and since our old opener was 19 years old, we decided to replace. His estimate to install was spot on and he was done in less than an hour. He lubed and checked the door and showed my wife and I the best way to carry out this preventative maintenance in the future. Very prompt and professional. Fantastic work!

Had a problem with garage door not going up. Explained the situation to Bryan over the phone. He took me through what to do to my opener adjustments to correct the issue. He said if that didn't work, he would be glad to come out. His instructions worked perfectly. I wouldn't use anyone else for any door issues in the future. Thanks Bryan!!!

Best experience ever! We were really in a pinch. Our garage door spring just broke this morning at 9:00. Bryan was here by 12:40 pm and the door was fixed by 1:15pm! Now how amazing is that!? Called Bryan on a Monday morning when he obviously was having a busy day. Despite this he was able to schedule the service on the following afternoon. He arrived exactly on time, after calling to let us know he was on the way. The installation went quickly, and the unit operates flawlessly and very quietly. Bryan took the time to demonstrate exactly how the door and opener should be lubricated, and he left containers of the proper lubricants. He also programmed the home-link remotes in our two cars, so they would operate the opener. Overall, Bryan is a great example of the kind of person I like to see show up when service is needed in my home.

Bryan was terrific from start to finish. I called him when the door would only partially open and he knew exactly the problem just from my description. He was a pleasure to deal with - responsive, knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and extremely personable.
