On a sunday morning my garage door tortion spring broke thus not allowing me to get the car out of garage. As bryans ad says in the yellow pages "call him on his cell phone" well i did and he picked up on a Sunday! Told me how to get my door open witha little muscle My garage door was 30 yrs old and no time like now to replace it. Bryan had quotes and suggestions steering me towards his recommended manufacture website where i mad my choice and BAM he was there on wednesday morning and done by1pm. Bryan is a heck of a nice , honest guy who works hard and is on time etc... He picked up his phone every time i called him a trait forgotten by many contractors in the service industry it seems. Need a new garage door then you use his services!!!

He had to install some new parts to the opener. His work was outstanding. He offered advice about upkeep on the garage doors; how to replace the gasgets, remove the old ones, and so forth. He was very friendly. He was punctual, right on time. He got here quickly. He was really honest about the job, he could have told me we needed a whole new opener and instead we just needed a new transmitter. I would recommend him to friends.

Luckily one of the cars was outside so there was no immediacy. I called Bryan who has done work for me before and he was at 7AM first thing in the morning. I drove my wife to the train station, a six mile round trip, and when I got back both springs had been replaced. Bryan has taken care of my garage door needs for ten years and I can recommend him without hesitation. In fact I did recommend him to my son who had the same good experience.

I noticed last night that one of my torsion springs had snapped. I found Bryan on the List and sent him an email for an estimate. He responded very quickly, so I called him to set up an appointment. He was at my house and had the job done the next morning. Bryan is very professional and very personable. He is straight forward on the cost breakdown. I originally had Bryan repair a garage door motor last August 18th and submitted a report to Angie's List on the 23rd. All "A"s. This week I called Bryan for his advice on a separate garage door problem having to do with the electronic eye or sensor that prevented the door from closing completely. It was driving me nuts! He called me back immediately and walked me through an easy fix right over the phone. He did not hesitate to help me and of course charged me nothing. This was impressive and underscores the excellent and fair treatment I received last August.

Installed new garage door lift. Explained everything. I would recommend Bryan, he did a great job.

I have an 8'x16' redwood garage door (most doors are 7' high). One of the springs broke 3 years ago and I called another company to replace them. Turns out that they installed springs for a 7' door which were rated for 15,000 cycles. Since it's an 8' door they lasted about 10,000 cycles which was about 3 years. I paid $250 at the time. I asked why the new springs were smaller in diameter and length than the old springs and was told that the new springs were correct for the door. Well, they weren't so they failed much sooner than they should have. Bryan took the time to explain how cycle ratings and spring sizes work. I told him I didn't want to be replacing springs every few years and asked for a higher cycle rating. He suggested a 45,000 cycle spring. The spring that broke was about 3' long and 2" in diameter. The springs that Bryan installed were 2 5/8" diameter and over 4'6" long. So for an extra $75 I now have springs that will probably last longer than the door will. Before going with Bryan, I checked Angie's list and got estimates from 5 different highly rated companies in my area. One of them said that they would have to look at the door to give me a price even though I told them that I wanted a 30,000 to 50,000 cycle spring for an 8'x16' redwood garage door. The guy came out and measured the existing springs and then told me he could install a 50,000 cycle spring for $220 or a 100,000 cycle spring for $375. Something seemed fishy so I told him I'd think about it. I talked to Bryan and he explained that a 100,000 cycle spring would be so long that it wouldn't even fit on the bar - it'd have to be over 8' long. Once again, a company lying to their potential customer. I talked to Bryan 4 or 5 times and he always answered the phone and spent a lot of time explaining how springs are rated and answering all of my questions. He had the lowest price and was the only company that could do it the next day. He was also the only company that answered the phone (himself) every time I called. The other highest rated company finally called me back two days after Bryan had completed the job. He arrived right on time and installed the new springs which were the same diameter and about 1' longer than the springs that were on the door when we bought the house. He not only installed the springs but also tightened every bolt on the door, added additional lag bolts to fix areas where the holes were stripped and lubed all moving parts including the hinges and springs. He even adjusted the chain and the up and down limits on the garage door opener. All at no additional charge. He pointed out that my door opener was actually for a 7' high door which explains why the door doesn't open all the way. He even gave me tips on how to maintain the door and it's hardware to maximize it's life. This was the best service I've had from any company in my 15 years of home ownership. We need more people like Bryan. Truly exceptional service!

I contacted Bryan yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to have him answer the phone directly. I described the two problems I was having with both my garage door and opener. After describing one of the problems of a bent hinge/bracket on an old wooden garage door, Bryan asked if I had access to send him a picture of the problem (prior to his arrival) to see if he could repair it vs. replace it. I did and he texted back that yes, he could repair the door. He quoted me the service call & potential replacement cost of a new opener and, schedule permitting, that he may be able to fit me in the next day. I really appreciate that we were able to utilize technology (the phone camera and texting) to expedite the diagnosis, cost and appointment arrangement. Bryan was as responsive via text as he was prompt in answering his phone. Happily, Bryan was able to fit me in today, keeping me updated on his ETA. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Besides being able to repair vs. replace the garage door, he was able to repair vs. replace the garage door opener. He also adjusted the safety/tension settings and lubricated the rollers, springs and hinges and took the time to explain proper maintenance and care for the future. His price was very reasonable and he never tried to pressure me into replacing the door or opener, or make me feel bad for opting to repair what I had. Even though he was finished in less than an hour, he took his time when explaining what was needed and answered all my questions. Overall, his customer service was excellent and it was apparent that he took pride in his work. I will definitely call him for my future garage door needs.

Bryan provided an estimate quickly and was able to install our garage door and opener soon after. Bryan had to come back and make some adjustments to the door and added a door lock for us. Both visits came to completion in a professional manner.

Answered phone promptly. Doors were in stock and we had them installed within the week. Opted for a brand new top of the line garage door opener. Unfortunately the opener only worked with homelink openers in autos 2009 and newer. Bryan contacted the manufacturer and received a homelink repeater that should have worked with older cars. It did initially but then stopped soon after. I asked for a different garage door opener, one that would work with the older homelink technology and Bryan brought over and installed the previous years model at no charge. Everything has been working great since then. Would highly recommend.

Called to set something up. Bryan was there the next day - It took him a very short time from start to finish, which included programming the remote and the cars. Thought may be we may need springs but looking it over said they seemed to be intact and where ok. He did not try to up sell us for something we did not need. I find this to be refreshing someone very honest and that is far and few between. Overall a pleasant experience Bryan he is experienced and knowledgable, he also gave me some tips on maintenance. We will use again in the future when we replace the door. Thanks again Bryan, it is so nice to get the car in the garage with a push of a button!!! I can not say enough about the quality of the service we got well worth the price.

When you first make a call to get information you get to talk to Bryan directly!! I described my problem and what I wanted to do. Bryan was knowledgeable and gave quick options. Bryan knows his products well and gave us great recommendations. He was able to set up a date for the next week and completed the job!! Which was great considering the garage door I wanted if I ordered it would take 3-4 weeks to come in. After Bryan completed the job he noticed some discrepancies in our siding around the garage door frame and offered some great advice!! He also talked about door maintenance and what we should do. I learned more about my door and its workings in just a few minutes then I had in my life. It seems today many places lack this kind of customer service and it was such a blessing to see someone taking pride in his work and willing to spend time with their customer. Great JOB!! i first called Bryan on a Saturday after i was treated very rudely by a competitor. Up until thhis time i had every intention of using this competitor. This being Saturday, i was put through to Bryan's voice mail. I left a message expecting a call back sometime the next week. Bryan called bck that day, despite the fact that he was out of town at a wedding. He was obviuosly well versed in his product, and very professional. He directed me to a web site where i could view some of his recommendations until we could meet the next week. Bryan showed up right on time and explained in detail all of my options. He came equipped with sample product and offered numerous references. i checked out one of Bryan's clients and was very impressed with both the product, and Bryan's workmanship. I ordered the doors and was told it typically takes 3-4 weeks for delivery. Two weeks later they arrived. As i had come to expect, Bryan under promised, and over delivered. Bryan installed the doors yesterday. They far exceed my expectations. I would reccomend Bryan to anyone without hesitation.

Everything was perfect. Very quick response, very professional, knowledgable, and resolved issue quickly. Couldn't have been better.

The service was excellent from start to finish. Bryan spent perhaps a half-hour with me in the garage, discussing options with me, describing the differences among different doors and openers, and explaining how he would go about doing the installation. When I contacted him to accept his proposal, it was only two business days before he was out to do it. The installation took about five or six hours. He installed the rails, doors, and openers, and rewired the openers to place the buttons where they would be most convenient. He was even able to reuse and move one of my openers, which I had only had put in about six months prior, and program it onto the 3-button remote along with the new one, thus saving me a couple of hundred dollars. The construction feels very solid, the doors move surprisingly quietly for garage doors, and you can see the skill that went into the operation by how neatly and carefully he ran the wires around on the inside frame of the garage. The price seemed quite fair to me - I felt the pleasant relief which is the opposite of "sticker shock" - though I have only one other proposal to compare it with. I would guess the price is fairly typical for this sort of job. Bryan's professionalism, however, was certainly well beyond typical. Again, he carefully explained what he would do, answered all my questions, provided a detailed estimate, and then did the work promptly, effectively, and precisely as he had explained it. If I had any need for garage doors in the future, I would save myself the hassle of comparing multiple proposals by simply calling Bryan and having him do it; I wouldn't bother calling anyone else. And I would confidently recommend this approach to anyone who should ask.

Bryan's Garage Company was at our house withing two hours after they were called. The cable was quickly repaired. The man was very nice and courteous. It is great to be able to have the use of the door again. We would certainly use this company another time.

They explained the job over the phone and I scheduled an appointment for the job. They came as scheduled and did a good job. They cleaned the place before they left and I liked them. I will continue to use their services in future.

After 16 years I guess it was about time for my garage door opener to experience some type of mechanical failure. The chain sprocket literally popped off and upon cursory inspection it was apparent that the shaft upon which the sprocket was attached had broken. I checked Angie?s List and there were several highly rated garage door repair people in my area. But after reading the reviews, and noting Bryan?s response to nearly every one, I selected Bryan?s Garage Door Solutions in Downers Grove. I called Bryan Keith at 8:00 in the morning. He gave me a quick diagnosis and cost estimate on the phone and said he could be here between 11:00 and 1:00 that day. Brian showed up within that time slot and determined that the unit needed a ?rebuild kit?. He completed his work within 45 minutes. In the process he adjusted the chain as well as the safety/tensioning settings and lubricated the rollers, springs and hinges. He was thorough, professional and took the time to explain exactly what he was doing. I also appreciated the fact that he could repair the motor assembly or gearing rather than opt for the more costly route of replacing the whole motor and related parts. (The motor itself was fine.) I also thought his cost was reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend Bryan?s Garage Door Solutions for virtually any garage door opener repair or replacement.

The job went smoothly. He had to tools and the help to do the job. He cleaned up the job site and took away the debris. My only complaint is a small one regarding the caulk as described above.In hindsight, I should have held back some of the payment until he returned to do the caulking. It didn't seem like a big deal a the time but after thinking about it, I decided it was inappropriate for him to tell me to finish the job. Had it not been so hot, I may have been more assertive with him but he and his assistant were clearly very hot and tired when they finished the work. He left the old rails in place but replaced the rollers when he installed the doors. I don't know if that is a standard practice. However, the doors have worked fine and they are holding up to the weather. He left me a can of lubricant to spray on the rollers. I would use him again but I would be tougher about making sure that all of the little stuff was done.

If you have any concerns regarding your garage door opener or door, you can confidently call Bryan for answers and service. After reading the other reviews, I called Bryan last week when our garage door began to shudder as it was opening. Bryan was in the middle of an installation but called me back as promised at the end of the day. He asked many questions trying to troubleshoot the problem and actually stated that he would like to save me a trip charge if the problem could be corrected over the phone. That, to me, is the sign of an honest person. I described to Bryan everything I saw as he had me inspect my door and go through the process of raising and lowering it both manually and with the opener engaged. Since everything seemed to work appropriately he suggested a specific lubricant for all the moving parts. Then Bryan spent time discussing why my opener is so loud. He stated several options for replacing the opener and also gave me information about new garage doors. This was a detailed discussion that gave me an education about these products without any pressure to buy them. When our conversation ended I indicated I would try the lubricant and see what happened. Today Bryan called to follow up with me. The lubricant he suggested has restored the smooth operation of our garage door and I am very happy with that. The opener continues to be very loud (due to it's design and construction), especially since our master bedroom is over our garage. I am still considering replacing the opener for that reason. Based on my phone conversations with Bryan, he will be the only one I will call for any garage door service work. The reviews for Bryan's actual service are excellent and in my case he took his time to troubleshoot with me and followed up on his own to see if his suggestions were helpful. He was more interested in providing excellent service than collecting a trip charge fee, and in this day and age that is quite admirable. I look forward to calling Bryan for all my future service work.
