We had Chris, Tom and the team refinish all of our hardwood floors. The team did an amazing - in a time when it can be difficult to communicate with contractors or get a call back - I was thoroughly impressed with the level of communication throughout the entire process and updates on how things were coming along. They made every effort to make the process go as quickly and smoothly as possible. We completely changed the color of our floors and it looks as though they were always this color!! The harshest of critics has yet to find something they missed. They were even able to replace planks where a wall once was - there is no way anyone can tell that those pieces of flooring are new to the house. They are true masters of their craft and artists! Would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Chris (owner) has a great family owned company and his workers are very good as well. They all did a great job as this was the first time I contacted him and his company's workers to construct the oak wood flooring in my townhouse. Excellent service, hard working, fair price and they all take great pride in their work. No one better to hire!

Our entire second floor needed a combination of ripping out carpet, patching weird missing holes of hardwood, installing hardwood into our master bedroom & closet, refinishing, and staining it all to perfectly match our living room. Everything was completed in 8 days, the exact time frame that was originally quoted. The work they completed is stunning. A Step Ahead was prompt with their communication, offered a reasonable quote to refinish hardwood floors. When we ripped up the rest of the carpet and realized we only had 1/3 of the room with salvageable floors, they quickly gave us another reasonable quote for a new floor install. They did a very high quality job and cleaned up well after.

Refinished the white oak hardwood floors in our foyer and kitchen. We changed the stain color from a medium maple to darker Jacobean; went from semi-gloss finish to satin finish. Our floors now look better than when they were new! Our experience with A Step Ahead Flooring was great. Highly recommend.
