The service was excellent. The provider was on time and completed the installation quickly. They cleanup after. They also advised on proposed service ideas. They were very professional.

He arrived on time and completed the job in good time even when he ran into problems They were solved and we now have a working fan we also have a better idea of how to work this fan as it is very high no way could we of installed this on our own I am putting this name in our files now feel we have found a honest and very good electrician for any projects or problems in the future. Chris was nice, professional, and skilled. He was also 3 hours late.

I was having issues where half my house would lose power. I called Comed and was told it was my issue inside house and not Comed issue. I called handyman and sons who came out relatively quickly and searched my electric panel and other parts of house to see what could be causing issues on my end. After an exhaustive search where he educated me as to what was happening and how everything on my (non Comed) side was correct, and not failing. He even made a call to his family member to dicsuss some aspect of the ac to make sure that would not be causing said issues. Where he went above and beyond is when he told me how to communicate with COMED to insure they would recognize the issue as being theirs and to most importantly fix it. After communicating to Comed as I was instructed.... Comed came out , ran and quot;new serviceand quot; to my house and ultimately fix my issue. It would have been easy for him to not respond as quickly as he did, or charge for items not needed, or left with me issue not resolved and no way to deal with Comed. Fortunately for me These guys are honest and professional, which is the number one thing one should look for. Big thank you!

Chris showed up on time. Replaced my lamp and did a great job. Then he added the outside socket and fixed the wobbles socket inside. It went beautifully...he finished cleaned up and it was a fantastic job. I would use his services again.

They did a good job. I had them install a nice lighting fixture and put a temporary fixture in place for a neon light. I'd use them again because the price was great and the work has held up fine. He was very professional and easy to work with, too

Chris contacted me through email and phone to set up an appointment suitable to both of us. He spent at least a half hour on the phone trying to assess the situation and determine the cheapest solution (yet code compatible). He was extremely professional and tried to minimize the time on the job necessary. I was pleased with his work even though the solution turned out to be trivial.

There was some confusion as to the arrival time, but that was probably both our errors- we never confirmed time when the date was changed, and I figured it was the same time. He had also told me various theories on why the ceiling fan light (the fan worked great) was out. First job was to find the electric source in the kitchen. Chris was very nice, but did a lot of talking using electric jargon that I didn't understand. Eventually, he told me there was something that was bad in the kitchen (forgot the name). He had one in the truck' cost me $25. The part that sort of upset me was the ceiling fan. He made it a point of telling me how hard he had gotten shocked from it while taking it apart . I was a little surprised that an electric source was not turned off before working on it? Aside from that, the theories he had gone over on the phone did not apply to the light on my ceiling fan at all, and it was deemed not fixable. But the part that annoyed me was that he also broke the fan, so, regardless of whether or not I was going to replace the whole thing, I no longer had a fan that worked, which was a crucial part of my comfort in my place. I am just not sure I would rehire him. Nice guy, but I was not 100% confident in him after really assessing everything.

Chris was great, punctual and very easy to work with. He did exactly what was asked and was very friendly the entire time. He was great to work with. I would love to have him back to fix some other items, but the budget dollars are just not there at the moment. He is highly recommended.

When the owner contacted me to set up an appointment it was 3 weeks in the future. I scheduled the appointment. I needed the work done fast and could not wait. another electrician did the work. I sent the cancellation thru Angie's list around 7-30-14 and then called the owner of Handyman and Sons on 8-2 to confirm he received the cancellation and he said yes he did. As of today I have not received a refund. 8-6-14

Chris was very competent/expert. He came on a Sunday because the previous apt. was postponed due to an emergency with another long-standing client. He is booked well ahead. I would definitely have him again. He explained the advantages of LED lighting over incandescent and other types of bulbs.

I only received an email never received a call to schedule an appointment for work to be done, I purchased deal on 19th of July

Chris was the epitome of service. In addition to doing what he was contracted for he also put a new cover on an outside outlet and, , believe it or not, adjusted my overhead garage door. He and his son worked very well together and I would hire them again without a doubt. I wish he could do ceramic tile as I would have him remodel my bathroom!!

Chris did a fabulous job adding a concrete ramp to our car port. He arrived exactly when he said he would, worked efficiently and strategically and solved our original problem. He did a really nice job. We not only love the ease of having the ramp, but love the way it looks too.

I left a message for him and then he called me back. We set up three different dates that would work for me and he was unable to perform the work. He gave me three dates that worked for him but I was unable to work around it. Chris, who I was in contact with, was nice, but we were unable to schedule a date that worked for the both of us.

Purchased Deal. Someone named Chris emailed back and asked for a number to reach for scheduling. Emailed him back with 2 different numbers. After two days no calls or even email stating he tried to call. That said, I'm not upset with Handyman as much as I am with Angie's List; paying up front for services not yet performed. So...why did I join Angie's List?

Provider called and had to cancel because he was too busy.

I did not use their service since I no longer needed electrical work to be done. They were helpful otherwise.

It didn't go great, he sounded busy and he would always call late at night. I don't know if he understood the problem I had.

Everything went great. Chris showed up on time and finished more projects than I anticipated. After a minor issue with one project, he came back a few days later to fix the issue and made sure everything was 100% perfect.

Chris and his son showed up, gave a fair and accurate assessment of the situation and what it would take to do the work. He got straight to work and stayed on task until the job was done (about 4 hours). As he opened the drywall he noticed a couple of wiring anomalies which he assessed and recommended the corrective steps and what it would cost, then he took care of the problems. He then cleaned up all his mess and left. I plan to use Chris and sons again very soon.

Hanging two ceiling chandeliers. One went up without incident. For the second, the existing light fixture was taken down. The replacement chandelier is older and apparently had a wiring issue and would not work. So the existing light fixture was put back. But that one did not work, although it is practically new. The 2-hour windows was closed at that point so the chandelier is not up (for obvious reasons), the original light is not there any longer, and now there is a make-shift light bulb in its place until I deal with it. The service and communication itself was good- thus the overall high rating- but I can't say I came away totally satisfied in that my one lighting fixture is worse off now than before.

Chris was definitely worth the wait! He is very professional and down to earth. He did things properly and not just to and quot;get the job doneand quot; as others would. He thoroughly looked at what needed to be done and told me exactly what to expect. I am very satisfied and have made an appointment for him to install a garage door and a few more outlets. I highly recommend him.

It was pretty good. It is just a one man company. His name is Chris. He is thorough and explains what he is doing. He spend enough time making sure that he did quality work. He cleaned up after he finished his task.
