Perfect Turf Landscaping Inc

It was a very enjoyable experience overall. I contacted Steve at Perfect Turf in early April. After discussing my plans with Steve, he suggested I see a landscape architect to map out my plans. He recommended a very good one (see my report on Majbritt Andersen-Stewart). After meeting with her and obtaining a design, I contacted Steve to do a portion of the plan: basically the two street sides of the house, not including the parkway. Steve has an ongoing working relationship with Majbritt, and they met to go over the design. Steve stopped by the house, and dropped off an estimate. In my dealings with Steve, I got a very good feeling that he would do the job right. For example, he stressed the importance of proper grading of the land. He just appeared very knowledgable and experienced. I contacted Steve in late May, and told him I would like to proceed with things. He said it would be 4 to 6 weeks, weather permitting. The week before the 4th of July, I called Steve to check on things, and he said his crew would be out that following Monday. Steve and his crew (I believe there were six of them) arrived right on time. The speed at which they worked was just amazing. All of the shrubs and old weeds (how I describe my former lawn) were gone by just after lunch. The next day, I met with Steve in the late morning after he had picked up and laid out the shrubs, plants, and tree. We discussed moving a few things around, and wound up taking a little "poetic license" with the original design. I went to work that afternoon, and when I got home, ALL of the plants, shrubs and sod had been installed and looked magnificent. As I was out watering the plants and lawn over the next two weeks, many of my neighbors, along with numerous passersby commented on how great everything looked. I am planning on using Perfect Turf to do the back yard area next year.

Went very well, when Steve observed poor quality sod at nursery he called and asked to postpone job until better sod came in, which did 2 weeks later. I was glad I waited. Also took time to answer all my many questions about turf maintenance

They are always on time and are very quick and through each week. They even will some items on my lawn in order to mow in all spaces.

Steve provided a professional quote in a timely manner. He then laid sod beautifully. I would recommend Steve to anyone.

Sent an email in late November/early December requesting a quote for service. Called me back about a week later explaining he doesn't check email and they were busy getting ready for snow removal season. I called again in January and again during a break in the snow in February. No return calls. Contracted with another provider.

Steve was very responsive and it was a pleasure working with him. He was honest and straight forward throughout the entire process. His price was very fair and he did a great job. I strongly recommend him. I plan to have Steve come back next year to work on my back yard.

I contacted Steve via email on April 11, with description of work to be done. Initial appointment for estimate on Friday April 22. I received a printed estimate by mail on Monday April 24 (quick), which I accepted by email that night. Work was scheduled for about May 31 (5 weeks). Steve was on-site during the work and brought several workers. They worked efficiently and completed in about 1/2 day, in spite of rain, they left work area clean. Job done well, has been several weeks and looks good. Only negatives are probably some delays in reading email and amount of time till work could be scheduled. However popularity probably based on quality of work and time of year/season.

The approximate cost is per week, per cut. They do a good job. They are very responsive, if I ever have to call for anything they return my phone call within 24 hours.

Steve the owner responds very quickly. Very detailed and excellent to work with.

Steve was very polite and helpful on the phone. He came out to do the estimate within 7-10 days and called me with the estimate, as well as mailing a written copy. We chose to postpone the project, but would definitely hire this company in the future.

I called for a quote, and Steve was able to come out the same day to go over what I needed done. He was very professional and informative. I received the quote in the mail within a week. I appreciated the fact that he told me up front he was extremely busy, and didn't know when he would be able to schedule my job. I'd much rather be told the truth than be given a date that keeps changing or never materializes. We chose to hire a friend who did the work for us at cost and a barter. I can't comment on the cost, as I didn't have any other quotes to compare, but the price seemed reasonable. Overall this was a good experience. Had I not had my friend, I would have hired Steve & Perfect Turf.

Steve was great - very responsive. The quote was fair and they did a nice job. If you know what you want, Perfect Turf is a great choice. If you need suggestions about design, you will need to look elsewhere.

I gave him a complete list of what I wanted done and we walked around the property talking about options. He was very personable and had a number of good ideas for me to consider. He returned an estimate to me in a timely fashion but it was quite high considering that it didn't even include the flagstone or the new yews or other plantings that I asked for. I was disappointed that he didn't follow my list and give me an estimate based on my requests.

I called & they came out & put an estimate in the mailbox as I was not home at the time. Called them with the ok. He said that they are really busy, but he would add my name to the list. Well they came out a week later. The team were 2 gentlemen, very friendly. The job looks good. They cleaned up very good. My neighbors even admired the job.

PERFECT TURF'S SERVICE WAS JUST OKAY. WE WERE NEVER OVERLY IMPRESSED WITH THE GRASS CUTTING. IT WAS DONE IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES, WHICH LED TO SOME SLOPPY AREAS OF OUR LAWN. WE'LL TRY ANOTHER SERVICE NEXT YEAR.

SO FAR THESE GUYS HAVE BEEN GREAT. THEY EDGE UP THE GARDEN AND HAVE EVEN PULLED WEEDS WITHOUT BEING ASKED. I ALSO HAVE A VOLUNTEER PUMPKIN PLANT THAT TOOK OVER A BIG PART OF THE BACK YARD. THEY HAVE BEEN VERY CAREFUL NOT TO HARM IT, BUT THE AREA AROUND IT IS WELL GROOMED SO IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A WEEDY MESS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

GREAT EXPERIENCE. GOOD RESPONSE TO FIRST CALL, GOOD FOLLOW UP, THE WORK WAS DONE VERY QUICKLY AND VERY WELL. WE'RE PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS.

I THINK THEY FORGOT TO CUT OFF A DEAD BRANCH ON A RHODODENDRON BUSH IN OUR BACK YARD, BUT OTHER THAN THAT NO COMPLAINTS. STEVE WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

WE REALLY ENJOYED WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY. STEVE WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. HE RETURNED MY CALLS PROMPTLY AND WAS HONEST, ESPECIALLY ABOUT THE TIME FRAME THE WORK WOULD BE COMPLETED IN. I WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS AND WILL PROBABLY HAVE A CLEAN UP DONE AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. THEY ALSO MOWED MY LAWN AT A LAST MINUTE REQUEST AS MY HUSBAND WAS OUT OF TOWN AND I COULD NOT PERFORM THE WORK MYSELF (I WAS ALMOST NINE MONTHS PREGNANT!) THEY WERE EXTREMELY BUSY BUT FOUND THE TIME AND I THOUGHT THIS SHOWED THEIR DESIRE FOR MY BUSINESS.

STEVE AT PERFECT TURF WAS EXCELLENT TO WORK WITH. THE WORK WAS WELL DONE. WE WERE ATTEMPTING TO COORDINATE WITH OTHER WORK ON THE HOME, INCLUDING A PAINT JOB, A FENCE AND RESETTING A PATIO. STEVE WAS VERY FLEXIBLE IN THE DATE CHANGES REQUIRED BECAUSE OF THIS, SOMETIMES DUE TO MISMANAGEMENT BY THE OTHER CONTRACTORS. STEVE RETURNED MY (MANY) PHONE CALLS VERY PROMPTLY - ALWAYS THE SAME DAY. HE WAS ALSO PATIENT WITH US AS WE SLOWLY FIGURED OUT WHAT WE WANTED; THIS IS OUR FIRST HOME AND WE WERE ON A LEARNING CURVE. IN GENERAL WE FOUND STEVE EXCELLENT TO WORK WITH AND WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN IN A MINUTE.

STEVE IS THE CONTACT AT PERFECT TURF. I'VE NEVER MET A LANDSCAPER THAT IS SO WILLING TO PLEASE. MOST HAVE AN EGO THE SIZE OF PICASSO AND WILL NOT LISTEN TO YOUR CONCERNS. STEVE TRIES TO GET INTO YOUR MIND AS TO HOW YOU WANT YOUR YARD TO LOOK. HE WILL TRY TO DISSUADE YOU FROM DOING SOMETHING HE KNOWS FROM EXPERIENCE IS NOT GOOD FOR THE YARD OR HE'LL SUGGEST WAITING TIL A LATER TIME TO EXECUTE. HE IS DEFINITELY A KEEPER.

I GIVE THEM AN A+! HE WAS ONE OF THE FINEST PEOPLE I'VE DEALT WITH. HE AND HIS FATHER ARE GREAT. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS A PLEASURE. THEY WERE VERY INFORMATIVE. HE CALLED AND ASKED IF I WAS SATISFIED. HE WAS HONEST ABOUT THE TIME FRAME BEING THAT IT WAS A BUSY SEASON. I FELT HE WAS HONEST AND VERY COMPETENT.

ALTHOUGH I DECIDED TO GO WITH ANOTHER LANDSCAPER, STEVE AT PERFECT TURF WAS VERY TIMELY IN HIS ESTIMATE AND HELPFUL WITH A DESIGN REFERRAL. EASY TO COMMUNICATE WITH AND PROMPT.

STEVE THE OWNER WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL RETURNED ALL MY CALLS IMMEDIATELY WAS HERE FOR SCHEDULED ESTIMATE. WHEN SOD WAS INSTALLED EVERYTHING WAS CLEANED UP. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.
