It was AWESOME. Mike's a great guy. Tells you EXACTLY what you need. Not as expensive as some other quotes, but more than others (as they didn't quote on some items we needed done too). I'd have MCC Electric back in a heartbeat.

Contractor selection – We contacted 4 contractors – we felt comfortable with only 2, who were the only 2 to submit written quotes. Mike is very personable and professional. He did not push extra services or products that were not required for our project. However, he is knowledgeable and willing to share his opinions and experience when asked. In our case, we decided to include a whole-house surge protector after asking for his opinion. The project took 2 days, because we needed a larger diameter riser and service entry conduit. There were also several code fixes that were performed (refer to “Motivating situation” for more detail). Peter and Paul from Mike’s team were great. They were courteous, thoughtful, and willing to answer our questions. The site was cleaned at the end of each work day, and they walked through final inspection with the city Electrical Inspector. We definitely recommend you invite MCC Electric as one of the contractors to quote your job. Motivating situation – The panel upgrade was not originally in scope for us. A different electrical contractor installed an electrical riser for a garage project a few months earlier. That contractor was not present during the final house electrical inspection – and, it did not pass (for the record, the garage final inspection passed). A few of the issues were ours, as the homeowner. But 2 small items were connected to his work. We tried contacting him several times to have him fix his issues and contract him to address our issues, but he never returned our calls or emails. Therefore, we were forced to find a new contractor to address the inspection violations - Thank you MCC for a job well done.

Everything went great! Mike came out and gave me a quick estimate and written contract. His guys showed up today, on time, and were very professional and clean. They fixed all of the issues exactly as was described and also updated an outlet with GFI protection and replaced a switch that was broken, not originally planned for.

I contacted Michael Brosseit at MJB Electrical and set up an appointment. He was on time and very knowledgeable. I needed six recessed lights installed (plaster ceiling) also had to run the wires for the switch as the only way to turn on ceiling fan previously there was by the pull chain. The work turned out to be more extensive than originally thought. We have a walk up attic, but the floor boards are tongue and groove so they didn't just "pull up". It is also a 90 year old house which is difficult to work on. Michael and his team were on time, thorough and left everything very clean. I would definitely use MJB again.
