The basement looks great and we get compliments on it all the time. We plan on using them in the future. They were a bit more expensive than some of the other estimates we got but it was worth it.

I never received a response from these folks,even after leaving follow up messages, to inquire about a drywalling project. If the vendor was not interested then I should have received a response indicating that was the case.

I did not have a solid plan and added work as we went along. Jack was very flexible and accommodating. Great price for the work.

Jack, the owner, was very punctual and got me an estimate right away. He was always on time. We got a few other estimates and he was a little higher in price but we went with him because he was so punctual and gave us an outline of exactly when we would pay every installment for everything. He was very easy to work with in that way.

I highly recommend them. On budget, on time, no surprises.

John and his crew of competent and skillful craftsmen did a great job and were a pleasure to work with. They were punctual, skilled, detail-oriented, careful and professional. The surprises and challenges we came across during the project were quickly, skillfully and fairly resolved. If I do anything else to this house, this is my team!

After interviewing six contractors that ran the gamut from too small for our project, to wanting to build the Taj Mahal underground , we knew Jack Kawalsczyk of J.K. Complete Remodeling and Construction was the one for us. He not only listened to what we wanted and respected our budget, Jack brought creative possibilities to the drawing board that enhanced the look and functionality we wanted. He was the ONLY contractor who offered to reconstruct my storage shelves ion the unfinished area of the basement WITHOUT me having to ask! The team of tradesmen he brought to the house were VERY SKILLED, on time and had good communication with Jack. When something was called in to question, Jack, would visit the job site and/or phone both us and his team. We liked that when the un-expected happened, which will with any project, it was dealt with fairly and with minimal impact on the budget. Only negative, the dry walling crew, didn't clean up after themselves, and had to be constantly asked to put down drop cloths. Bottom line, our basement is everything we wanted - on time, in budget, passed inspections, I will definitely refer this company and use them again.

I received Jack's number from a friend who had a basement remodel. I wanted to have some drywall fixed in my home along with estimates on a master bathroom remodel. I originally contacted Jack in Dec of last year. At first, I left a message and he never responded. After a repeat phone call he did respond. He eventually came to my home to provide an estimate. He did arrive to my home on time the day he provided me with an estimate. The time frame he gave as to when he would provide me with an estimate after he met with me, did not happen. I had to call him several times afterwards before I received any information from him re: price. Finally, after Jack quoted me a price, I called him to inform him that I would like to proceed first with the drywall repair. He mentioned he would call back to give me a time frame as to when he would send someone out. He never called. Many repeated phone calls after this, and Jack has still not called back. Multiple messages left and no response.

His team was punctual, clean, and very professional. Went through the work and outlined the details on the contract. Jack communicated with me weekly throughout the whole process, and always got back to me quickly when I called with any questions. Stayed on specified timeline and did not try to upcharge me. Also, had recommendations for places that I could get my cabinets and countertops from which were also very good quality and affordable. Ended up going with them for those items. His services covered the main parts of the project, and I was responsible for taking care of getting the cabinets, countertops, and flooring. I preferred this method since some of the other estimates I got which included this were much, much more expensive, and I preferred to find these items on my own. The services he performed were framing, electrical, plumbing and sink/toilet install, insulation, drywall, HVAC, labor for cabinetry and tile flooring, woodwork such as molding and doors, and painting. Overall, I would highly recommend Jack and his team, and I have done so several family and friends who are looking for someone. I am extremely happy with the end result of the basement, and we always get compliments from people when they see it.

This project was a basement refinishing project. My home was built in 2007 and the basement was a full unfinished basement. The portion of the basement that we planned on getting finished was approximately 700 sq. ft. I had several quotes for this project, some were very high and and others comparable to Jacks. The reason I chose Jack was because he was the most patient with me as I had many questions and his price was in line with what I wanted to spend. I had met with him several times before deciding to start this project. Jack took the time to come out and meet with me, answered my questions, and provided suggestions were I needed them. I had already had the design of the basement mapped out myself, and Jack is an excellent choice if you know what you want and need someone to do the labor. If you need an actual designer, this will cost you more. When I signed the contract with Jack he gave me an estimated start date and the actual start date was one day after the estimate. Jack's workers were professional and always on time and kept the basement pretty clean. I had some issues with the workers that Jack had to sub contract, as they would not show up on some days or come very late. Once I notified Jack, he would always take care of the situation. Jack was always very responsive to any issues I had throughout the project and I always received a call back within a couple hours. The work was done well and the project took about 8 weeks to complete and this included a permit from the city. I gave the overall quality a 'B' because there was some minor imperfections with the drywall and the paint job. Overall, the basement turned out great and we have a great living space for my family. I would definitely consider using Jack for any future contractor jobs. The cost listed in review was not for all materials. Materials that I was responsible for included: Carpet, backup sump pump, specialty light fixtures, and bathroom fixtures.

Jack was great. He brought two workers who were very thorough, hard working and did a high-quality job. Every tile is perfectly straight and level and they put the tiles in according to the correct pattern. They were clean and very polite. Jack checked in with them almost daily.

Jack and his crew are truly a good TEAM!! Jack works with you in the beginning and his workers take it all from there. They are all professional's and all do GREAT work. Each day they cleaned up after themselves and took out all trash and materials. One of the best part's was setting up all of the Heavy Bathrooom pieces as a will call at the store and they were willing to pick it all up and bring it up to the 3rd floor!! We had the tile walls removed and his crew even replaced all of the old insulation with new. The cement board all went up and before we new it they were doing the tile work.The floor had to be broken up and taken out and built back up with plywood and sheet rock, with nice porcelin tile on the top. We chose a nice mosaic tile for the shower walls with several strips of decorative matching pieces. They did FABULOUS work putting it up!!! It is PERFECT. Everything finished up nicely, with the paint and accessories. I do not want to forget that we also had Jack and the crew replace the toilet, vanity, top , light, towel bars, grab bars, hook, mirror, all new plumbing, painting. They did an AWESOME job. If you look at the attached photos you will see the job Jack and his guys completed for us. I would highly recommend them and will use them again!

The project was a real undertaking with the conversion of 1,000 sq ft of raw space into a finished showplace. It took 11-12 weeks to complete because of all the custom touches we asked for. They had no problem meeting any of our requests. Jack was very easy going, easy to talk with, very responsive to our calls and texts, and always on top of scheduling his crew. I don't think the job site was ever idle one day while he was doing our project! In the Washer/Dryer area, they gave us back precious head room by raising the low hanging plumbing we had up into the joists and installing recessed can lights. We now have plenty of headroom with a finished and high-end looking built-in W/D unit, a utility sink, and a custom built-in cabinetry area for the kids to take off their boots/coats. I asked them to match the molding and baseboards to what I had on the first floor to maintain some architectural consistency with the rest of our 85-year old bungalow. They had no problem doing this. Also in the W/D mud room area is our kids' play space. I had them frame out a custom chalkboard wall, and create a custom built-in niche under the stairs to store their toys. I supplied the drawings and they executed them perfectly. This is no small feat if you consider that our basement has sloping floors due to the previous floor drains. We had them level some of the flooring, but we would have lost too much head room to completely level everything. They had no problem dealing with these challenges. I also asked them to re-use as many pre-existing doors as I could find. They brought new life to 4 of my old doors and expertly hung them. In the adjacent family room, we now have a kitchenette with sink, surface mounted gas cooktop, microwave and undercounter fridge. I really challenged them by asking them to install the butcher block countertop I bought with my undermount kitchen sink. It looks incredible with the glass 3x6" tile above. In the family room we also have custom built-in cabinetry housing the TV and closed storage below for toys, and open storage above for decorative items. They showed up with raw pieces of wood and built it from scratch. The bathroom was a scary before image. They gutted it, installed marble tile in the shower area, a tiled/mudded up area on the shower floor, a pedestal sink and glass shower enclosure. It's now the nicest bath in the house. The bedroom is a great space for sleeping guests. They framed in the existing low-hanging hvac and did a good job trying to gain head room for us where possible. I would work with JK Complete Remodeling again in the future. And plan to recommend him to my design clients as well.

He let us know that we would not be needing the boards. He said it was safe as is. We would recommend him because he was very honest.

Jack and his crew did a superb job of finishing our basement. We spoke with several different companies up front about completing the work. We wanted to add a family room and bedroom for visiting family and guests (we finished approximately 1100 square feet of space). Jack gave us the very best price, and they started work right when they said they would and finished the project as expected. They were very professional, honest, and kept the place clean and tidy. We had a water issue along the way (our problem) where we needed another company to come in and evaluate and fix, and Jack let us know immediately that we need not worry about it. He had his team work around us while we resolved the problem, and then they came back in and completed the remodel. Jack was always available by phone, and he came by on several different occasions during the process to walk through and talk to us about what was happening next. He was always willing to tweak a few things along the way, too. Additionally, we found a couple of touch up issues after several weeks of using the basement, and Jack sent someone out to fix the problems right away! Everyone was very trustworthy and nice. We even had one of the electricians willing to let our dogs outside to go to the bathroom during the day when we weren't at home. Sweet! Definitely went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy with the work. I definitely recommend Jack and crew to complete any of your remodeling needs.

Not much to say, I used J K Remodeling in 2011 to update her bathroom to make it more elderly user friendly. Told Jack how much I was willing to spend and he came in under that amount. His crew did an excellent job.(Basically left it in Jack's hands, due to my work hours) they were friendly and even helpful a couple of times with my mom while they worked. Mom passed away a year later and I needed the house updated. Again Jack gave me an excellent quote, I tossed him they keys and said keep me posted on the progress, he did and in 3 weeks he was done. They painted the whole house, remodeled a family room, updated the kitchen and refinished all the original wood flooring in the house. Jack made good choices for color and finishes. We had one unplanned hiccup(Not Jack's fault) Found a gas pipe popping up out of the floor in the family room, that had been covered up by a built in cabinet and carpeting from an old wall heater. Jacks crew took care of it and I opted to put in Pergo flooring. Jack quoted me a price, I said "Do it" I put the house on the market a week later, in a couple of days I had a bidding war and it was sold within 10 days of being on the listed. Just closed on the house and the new owners said they reason they bought it, other than location of the schools, was how nice the house looked. Will either recommend Jack company to others or use him for future work around my home.

Jack and his team are fantastic! High quality work and very professional. Jack was extremely helpful in the design of my unfinished basement and could basically do whatever we needed. They showed up on time every day and cleaned up when they left. The results of the basement far exceeded our expectations. We have given their names to our family and friends. You will not be disappointed using this group!

They were highly rated on Angie's List but when Jacek, the company owner, came out, he said that they no longer do construction. The thing is that I am building my bathroom out on the attic over the garage. So, it was a messy bathroom. When he saw what I wanted to do he said, "Well, we can remodel your bathroom but we no longer do the construction." And I told him that he needed to put that in the site because I said, "You were one of the highest rated fellows and that was why I called you first." He said that if I could get someone to build up the attic over the garage and they are willing to raise the roof then he could come in and do the finish work. I believed that he was quite honest with his pricing. He was a very nice guy and stuff like that. I was just disappointed to know that they do not do the construction anymore and that I only knew about it when he came out because there was still the construction piece in their website. He was good and very professional. I did not have a lot of interaction with him at that point but he came out when he said that he was going to come out and we looked over the project. He said that they have not been doing construction since last year but my interaction with him was good.

Jack and his team were wonderful to work with. He has a highly skilled team of carpenters, electricians, flooring, painters, etc. They always show up on time, are professionals and clean up after. This was a large project that lasted 4 months. They turned a concrete and drywall basement into a stylish and inviting space that the entire family uses now. It's complete now with a home gym, additional bedroom, family/entertainment room and bar/kitchen. Jack was always available by phone and visited the site to discuss any issues and check on progress. His carpenter and other staff were meticulous and provided good solutions to any unexpected problems. The quality of their work was high, especially the carpenter. I would use them for any of our projects in the future.

He seemed to be in line, I think I'm getting a few more other estimate service to make sure but he I like him enough. It's probably a couple of months now because I ended up having to get an architect and so I might call him back though after the architect gets done. It was like $27000 for basement remodel but there was like more to it than just a remodel, there's some excess things that he had to do and it's a little more and he's actually switching things around so I'm guessing that's why I was going to call him back and give him a chance to estimate again because I have feeling the architect is going to do, he'll actually make it cheaper. It was in line with what I think was pretty fair because based on the work and it seems like it's pretty fair, but I have to have more estimates to make sure that they're in line. He apologized that it took him a few days to get back to me but he did.

See above.. They did an excellent job back in 2009,and I am going to call for an estimate to remodel the kitchen in September 2013 (a few months from now).,

Make sure to speak with Jack to ensure that what you want done is what gets done. Details need to be worked out in advance.
