We used A+ a week and a half ago to do minor work in the breaker box with good results, so we called at 8 p.m. on a Friday night, 85 degrees outside, no electricity in our unit (no A.C.) and we have a one year old. Answering service took the call, George called back in 15 minutes and was at our house 30 minutes later. Better than expected for a Friday night emergency call. George figured out what Com Ed couldn't -- strange facts here. Our upstairs neighbor didn't pay their electric bill, so Com Ed came in to shut off their electricity, but shut off ours instead ... because the meters are mislabled. So Com Ed was shutting off the meter they thought was the correct one, just mislabled. That means for the past six years I 've been paying my neighbors electric bill and they were paying mine. Through George's help we got Com Ed to turn on our electricity and have Com Ed re-labling the meters. George was there about an hour, and charged us only $80. We told him to charge us whatever, he worked from 9-10p.m. on a Friday. He said it was only $80! In my previous review 2 weeks ago, I was a little disappointed in the price. I take that back. He could have charged me any amount for showing up on 30 mintues notice on a Friday night, and I would have been glad to pay it. Thank goodness for George. He is smarter than Com Ed, for whatever that's worth. The company called the next day, a Saturday, to make sure everything was OK with our power. A great company to work with.

We were very pleased with all of the work George and Eugene of A+ Electrical Services, Inc. did. Starting with replacing the yard light and finishing with a new circuit box and 11 new circuits, all the work was done as estimated, professionally, on time, and extremely thorough. George explained exactly what he was going to do, ensured we agreed with his plan, gave us an estimate, and was committed to that price. Upon completion of the work, he walked us through every step, testing each circuit along the way. Both gentlemen put in long days to complete the work, and we could not have asked for a better experience. The completed job is everything we expected and more. We would highly recommend A+ for anyone looking for high quality, professional electrical work.

The office was great at the scheduling and answering my questions and explaining the hourly rate $80, plus cost of supplies, materials. I emailed the office a copy of the buyer's home inspection report, so George had an idea of what things to look at and possibly fix when he arrived. Very professional office. George arrived on time, and had the home inspector's report so he knew what to look for. The buyer's realtor was present and George was fine with that. The biggest potential problem was the home inspector said the circuit breaker box was in an unsafe location and had to be moved (we were not re-wiring the entire condo to sell our place!). George walked in looked at it and said the location was safe and up to code, big relief. He went through everything that the home inspector allegedly said needed to be fixed and found he only needed to fix half of that stuff. The home inspector had exaggerated what needed to be fixed. If Georged wanted to, he could have said everything had to be fixed and we wouldn't know the difference. So we felt he was very fair with the work he performed. I gave him a B on the price because he charged by the hour and my husband and I felt like maybe he could have worked a little faster. But our perspective is a little biased, we didn't want to have to spend any money to fix anything to sell the condo. My expectation was hoping to spend $200, but my husband, who deals with hourly union labor a lot, thought we would spend a minimum of $500. George was around $250 for labor and $90 for parts, right in the middle of what my husband and I each expected. Other good things - George insisted on wearing the booties over his shoes to keep our floors clean; George wrote up a great two page written report/invoice detailing his findings and work that we could give the realtors; the next day the office called to follow up on the work and offered to type up his written invoice so that we had a nicer document to give to the realtors. Very professionally run and we really appreciate that. We would use George again, for sure. We haven't had much work done by contractors and I need to get used to the idea that licensed contractors aren't cheap.

This company does everything you want it to. Answered email promptly; set up a date within two days of inquiry. Came on time, took shoes off, cleaned off completely. Left boxing in a neat sealed box. Explained process very well, lived up to its price. Fan works beautifully. Absolutely no complains. Electrician VERY polite, asked permission, etc.

We are selling are place and the inspection found a few problems in the electrical panel. They came out promptly, examined the wiring, and explained exactly what needed to be fixed. George was very accommodating and seemed genuinely interested in doing the right thing. He was very knowledgeable about the latest codes, what required fixing, and how the problem likely came to exist in the first place. I would definitely use them again.

George was arrived on the job exactly on time and even gave me a courtesy call to let me know when he would get there. He was very knowledgeable from the beginning. Issues that other handymen had no idea what to fix were easy for George to solve. Some of the issues were fixed immediately and others required parts, which I chose to order myself. He will be coming back next week for a follow-up visit to address the rest of the problems. After the service date, I received a follow-up call from the company to see how the work went and then when scheduling, they always knew who I was. This is the kind of company that I wish all service contractors were like. They are competent, courteous, and very knowledgeable. They are consistent, on-time and have good follow-up to make sure that everything is working even after the job it done. Bravo to George and A+ Electrical Services.

Wonderful, great and fixtures look beautiful!!! George said the fan I had purchased was probably for a "bigger" room which I understood, but he installed it perfectly and it works great. I love it!!! The fixture in my dining room is gorgeous also. I would hire them for any job I have in the future and am already thinking of things to replace. What a great company.

George and his staff respond quickly and are very professional. It has been easy to schedule time with him. He offers excellent suggestions, including how to wrap and move the chandelier, photographing the chandelier so that putting back crystal pieces would be easier, suggesting an alternative to removing another kitchen fixture, which saves me money right now, providing specific details about how to buy additional track and pendant lights. When he came out the first time, he carefully removed the necessary crystal pieces from the chandelier and explained that a sturdier mounting for the chandelier would be a good idea. When he returned he offered to rehang the chandelier pieces. He also called after the first visit with results of his search for someone who could rewire the chandelier, which was the main reason I needed electrical work. George is very considerate, and always wears surgical booties. He leaves the work site at least as clean if not cleaner than it was before he did the work. He is very careful to listen to what I want, and he is also willing to gently offer suggestions. He takes time to explain what he is doing, which helps me be a better consumer, and it also avoids potential misunderstandings after the work is in progress or completed. He works quickly and carefully. I would highly recommend him!

George was extremely polite and punctual. His prices seemed a little high, but he certainly does excellent work, the building inspector was very impressed with the job that he had done. His prices were right on with the estimates and he asked us questions about exaclty where we wanted everything as he was working.

Person taking call was helpful and efficient. Repairs scheduled for the day I wanted. George showed up on time. He was professional and pleasant and did everything exactly as I wanted. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

They were very responsive when I called and the electrician was able to come the next day. The electrician was very professional and knowledgeable. He did a very good job. I do think their rate of $30/hour is a little high. I would probably use them again if needed.

This company was the quickest to provide a quote, but they were also the highest priced. We chose them because they were the only bidder to actually come out to see where the work would be performed. In fact, once we selected them, they asked to come back prior to the work date just to make sure all necessary materials would be available on workday. A 3-man crew worked several hours, were extremely courteous and quiet. They insisted on everything being absolutely to code even though it wasn't exactly how I originally wanted things, and I had to agree that their approach was better than mine. At the end of the project, they cleaned up the area almost neater than before they came. The company also offers and honors their online coupon found in Angie's List. I would completely trust and defer to this company's opinion on any future job at my company or my home.

Very happy and satisfied. Very prompt and professional work. Used quality materials. Did not rush through the work. George worked as if he was working on his own house. Cleaned up after they are done. I would ideally want them to do the dry walling as well after they do their electrical work. Hopefully they will add this to their arsenal soon.

This company is a keeper. We have engaged George a few times for various small electrical jobs in our unit and for our condo association and he has always been incredibly prompt, professional, efficient and fair-priced. He takes a lot of time explaining things and is very willing to back up his work. In fact, we hired him to replace the front door buzzer system in our 3-flat building, and because there is also a structural problem with the door itself (that we are also working to get replaced), the buzzer sounds but the door doesn't release properly. He said that he would come back without charge when the door repair people came to make sure that once they put in the new door the buzzer was working. George was working for a larger company at once point and has broken out on his own fairly recently, so he probably doesn't have a huge number of reports on Angie's List yet. I can definitely say that you will be pleased with his work if you hire him!

It went perfectly. They arrived and started working and didn't stop until they were finished. They cleaned EVERYTHING up.

George is a true find -- professional, punctual and extremely detail-oriented -- he found several issues that weren't within the original scope and pointed them out to make sure the job was completed up to the highest standards (for example, noticing that smoke detectors were burned out while in a unit to replace an exterior light). His estimates were extremely reasonable and were only adjusted if he needed to change the scope; but always got our sign-off first. He also took the time to explain the job to us so that we always understood exactly what he was doing and what we could expect in terms of results -- hugely helpful when it comes to often confusing electrical work. We couldn't be happier with his work, so will definitely continue to use him!

These guys did a great job! The system works well and looks really nice.

We were modifying a wall for a new kitchen and found multiple conduits running in the wall. George came out quickly, provided an estimate and got the work done! The work was meticulously finished.

George is a very good electrician, and on top of that he took plenty of time to explain (and show) me what was going on with our fixtures and the circuit box. He was always polite and professional on top of being very efficient. Would highly recommended him for any electrical job.
