+ 2 moreOverall I am very pleased with my experience with 3D and would recommend them. Pete from 3D was very personable and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and all of my wife's questions. Additionally he made suggestions and recommendations for our project that I think made it come out better than I anticipated. Pete was also responsive to phone calls and patient with us as we went through the process. Before selecting 3D I collected 3 estimates. 3D's cost was much lower than the 1 of the estimates and competitive with the other which came from a less professional company than 3D. I've had the patio for 9 months now and it makes my yard look great. I'd use 3D again if I need work like this done again.
Description of Work: 3D removed our old back deck and installed a brick patio in it's place. The patio included 2 pillars, a sitting wall, 2 sets of stairs and a walkway to our detached garage. They additionally moved some existing bricks from a former patio to the back of our yard where I later installed a gazebo. The patio size installed was approximately 20' by 30' and included an arc.

Pete, from 3D, gave us a free estimate, and I knew upon meeting him that this was the company I wanted to work with. He gave us some great ideas, and really helped create a visual of what our patio would look like. We went to their outdoor showroom, and picked out the pavers we liked. Again, Pete was there to give his honest opinion on what would what wouldn't look nice in our small space. We were having a birthday party for our two year old at the end of the month, and really wanted our patio to be installed by then. Pete promised it would be done on time, and he did not disappoint! He was always available to answer our questions, and his crew showed up on time, and ready to work. We had a pesky little tree that we wanted to get rid of, and Pete offered to pull it out for us! We got more than we bargained for with 3D Brick Paving. They exceeded our expectations! We are thrilled with the finished product, and would absolutely, without a doubt recommend them to our friends.
Description of Work: The company removed old landscaping (including a large bush) and installed a brick paved patio in our backyard.

We were also planning on installing a vinyl railing system and Mike led us to research just the right product we would need.
Description of Work: Had our 20' x 8' porch paved with Holland pavers. They also poured a concrete step and paved with same pavers.

+ -1 moreAll aspects of the job went well. We would recommend 3D if you want a job well done. They're an honest and reliable firm that you can depend on to do the job right the first time, something which is not easily found in today's market.
Description of Work: Five years ago we had our front yard concrete sidewalk replaced with paver bricks. Unfortunately the job was not professionally done and over time the sidewalk started to sag in different areas and the edging around the walk had popped up. Also, the placement of bricks was not correct so the overall appearance became an eyesore. Based on the numerous excellent reviews of 3D, I contacted them to give us a quote to regrade and reinstall the front walk. In mid-April, we met with Mike who impressed us first of all with his honesty. He was straight forward about the problems with our existing walk and what needed to be done to correct them. He also offered us a newer type of edging that would eliminate future problems. We put our trust in him and expected that his crew would be highly skilled and professional and they certainly did meet our expectations. The job was completed on May 25 to our satisfaction and we now enjoy seeing a beautiful new sidewalk that is perfect in our eyes.

+ 0 morePete was my original contact. He worked with us with a lot of patience and had great suggestions. He helped us look at stone and pavers. He kept in contact with us throughout the process and all the work was done according to what he said and the estimate. He assured us that if there were any issues, he would make sure it would be corrected in a timely manner. Pete was a man of his word and easy to work with. He checked all the work from beginning to end to make sure the work was done as we hoped it would be. His Foreman, Javier, also was easy to work with and very patient. He did a great job with his crew. He is a real artist when installing and cutting the stones and pavers. He too had great suggestions and took the time to work with us when we thought about making a few changes. He checked all the work that was done by his crew. From start to finish, everything went smoothly, preformed in a timely manner, and cleaned up neatly after the completion of the work. He was there to make the additional change for us a month later when we requested it. I would definitely recommend 3D Brick Paving.
Description of Work: I received an estimate for removing a concrete sidewalk, a front walk and back patio. The estimate included the installation of a blue stone front walk with a front stoop overlay and a front side patio. Also, the installation of a clay paver side walk leading to my back patio, Replacement of two stoops and the creation of a third stoop on my side and back patio areas to be made with blue stone. Finally, the installation of a blue stone back patio with a clay brick trim. The work was performed as stated in the estimate with minor changes made as the work was laid out and prior to the work being performed. Pete and the foreman, Javier, went through the whole project and set out lines in order for us to see what actually was going to be done. At that point, some minor changes were made due to recommendations from Pete and some items that needed to be clarified. After the outlines were made, a crew removed all of the concrete, and the areas for the walks and patios were dug out. New stoops were created and cement poured in preparation for the blue stone installation. Stone and sand were poured, compacted and leveled. Pave Edge No Heave Desing edge restraint was installed with landscape spikes. Blue stone was installed on the front walk and patio with polymeric sand, and the overlay for the front stoop was installed. The clay pavers were installed on the side walk with polymeric sand. The blue stone was installed on the back patio with the clay pavers trimming the patio and polymeric sand applied to those surfaces. The stoops were overlayed with the blue stone. The stone and the pavers were neatly and precisely cut. There was several curved patterns in both the walks and the back patio which created the need for precision work. The whole project was cleaned up neatly and the work finished in a timely manner. There was one area which we requested to be change and 3D came out a month later to make the change. The change was the result of a miscommunication prior to us leaving for a few days, and they were unable to communicate with us. However, they promptly returned and corrected the area for us without any problems or issues.

He arrived exactly at the appointed time, listened carefully to what we are planning for our yard, then explained to me why we do not need his company's services and informed me about a much less expensive alternative that is not provided by his company. Mike's honesty is refreshing to say the least and I recommend that anyone considering concrete or brick work ask him to come out to assess your needs.

+ 1 moreThe communication was not good. We did not hear from them for over a month. It took me from early summer until the end of September to communicate everything that we needed. I had to pursue them and it seemed like they did not want the business. We drew up a design because they wouldn't do it. After we made the agreement things did move fast. The crew was very nice and respectful. It only took them three days and it turned out beautiful. I'm very happy with the workmanship.

Description of Work: 3D removed an old concrete and blacktop driveway, then installed uni-lock brick pavers. We have a huge driveway. The front and back stoops were also covered in stone and brick to accent the new driveway.

Description of Work: I have a LONG WIDE DOUBLE driveway, apron and side walk along my garage and front stoop. 3D Brick was right on target price wise. I was given a break down of all costs. I had not trouble deciding to use them. During the process Pete was very responsive to all my questions with COMPLETE FOLLOW THROUGH. That's a real plus. I had a sprinkler problem and there was no question about their solving it to my satisfaction. Well done! I can't say enough nice things about the three gentlemen that worked almost 2 weeks on the job. Ricardo was the foreman with Gustavo, Sergio, and Leonardo. Really great guys who worked from the time they arrived until they left with only a lunch break. Each night the place was left in neat condition which was hard considering the magnitude of the job. He was very helpful in talking through options with us and spent time to answer our questions. The job was scheduled for a few weeks after we signed the contract. Pete came out on the first day to meet with me, introduce the foreman Javier, and ensure everything went smoothly. The team was on time, friendly, and tidy. Throughout the process, Pete was so easy to work with. He was very responsive to emails and phone calls. Overall, we are thrilled with the end product - we've received so many compliments from the neighbors already! It was money well spent.

+ -1 moreWe worked with Pete of 3D brick paving. He was very personable, and responded promptly to our initial inquiry. However, in planning out the project and getting started with the work he was not always as responsive. He also tended to be late for appointments. Despite this, once the work was started his team did excellent work in removing the old asphalt and cement and then installing the pavers. Because it had rained on the last day of the job, several of the pavers on our front door stoop came loose. He had the crew there the next day and completely fixed the problem. Overall 3D brick paving did an excellent and high quality job. We'll know more about the durability over time. Our front driveway and walk are very attractive. I would use them again and would recommend them, but I would like them to be more responsive to questions and concerns (i.e., answer emails or phone calls within 1-2 days rather than 5-7 days).
Description of Work: 3D brick paving completely removed our asphalt driveway and cement walkways. They then installed unilock pavers over the driveway and walkways, buried the nearby downspouts and repaired some cracked cement at the front of our garage.

They and their workers were very professional from the beginning to the end of the project. The quality of the work is excellent and the new sidewalk is beautiful.

It was promptly and professionally done. The workmen were friendly and worked hard and cleaned up completely afterwards. They measured very carefully so the paved area was level.
Description of Work: A 12 by 16 feet area of permeable pavers was installed right behind our house and next to our side drive, replacing part of the grass in our backyard, to use as a deck and/or to park a car on when our garage is full.

+ 0 moreFrank was the 2nd estimate I got for my patio. Rather than leave and send me the estimate, he suggested that he spend a few minutes and complete it right there. I loved that! His estimate was only a couple hundred dollars more than the first and included the creation of a step from the house to the patio, which the 1st company did not. Once the Angie's List discount was factored in, the estimates were very similar. He spent time explaining what they would do and made some suggestions on how to bring the edge of the patio out in certain places to maximize the space without making the patio much bigger. He also explained how they'd build the step and how large it should be, which in my mind sounded big, but he assured me it wouldn't be. He was right. It's perfectly sized. Because of the detail of his estimate, I opted to go with 3D. They started a full week later than anticipated, but it didn't really have an impact on me at all because I didn't have to be there while the workers were there, since it was an outdoor job. Considering we had nowhere to go but up (our patio before was HORRIBLE), 3D was in a good position to make me happy just by improving the horror that was there. But I have to say I LOVE my patio and every time I look out my sliding glass door, I'm so pleased with what I see. The moment it was finished I ran out and bought wrought iron furniture, a patio umbrella, and a new grill (so a new patio actually cost more than you expect!) and we've made as much use of it as we can as the weather turns from summer to fall. One thing I'd suggest to any potential buyer is to go to their offices to see the brick pavers. 3D has an outdoor showroom, and what pavers look like in the catalog is SO different than how they look in real life. Man, am I glad I went. The one I liked in the picture was sort of awful in real life, and the one that looked too dark and red in the picture ended up looking like what I wanted. After I chose it, I was really worried I made a mistake, but it looks fantastic. Thanks, Frank and 3D for walking me through the whole process, including choosing the right brick.
Description of Work: They removed a sinking and cracked concrete patio, graded the area, installed a brick paver patio, built a step from our house onto the patio, which included pouring concrete and laying over with brick pavers. Additionally, they created a brick walkway from the patio to our driveway.

We are so happy that we chose 3d to complete a fairly large patio + fireplace project. Pete had the best design and best value from the start. But it was really when the work started that we knew we made the right choice. The crew was always prompt, professional and hard working. The end result was absolutely beautiful. Pete hurdled some permit issues, was VERY flexible and was highly collaborative with us during the whole process. We couldn't have been happier with the end product and our neighbors/friends continue to inquire about who did the work. Thanks 3d for the excellent product and service!

+ 0 moreI had called due to the excellent reviews on Angie's List. Frank was able to come out the day after I called, and arrived promptly. He gave very detailed descriptions of the product and process, brought brochures, and even brought a rep from their sister landscaping company along (for the landscaping). Frank emailed me a detailed quote the following Monday, and was very responsive via email. His price was good when you factored in the 5% Angie's List coupon. Ultimately, I opted to use another company who was able to provide comprehensive landscaping AND paver work, as the scope of my project was larger than just the brick work. Had it not been for that fact, I would have hired Frank and 3D, as they were courteous, friendly, prompt and professional. Their list of references is quite impressive, their price was very fair, and they clearly know what they are doing.
Description of Work: I had 3D come out to estimate a patio and sidewalk project for my recently remodeled house. The project included approximately 700 square feet of holland stone pavers, including a 450 square foot patio and a long sidewalk. I was also looking for some significant landscaping work, including re-grading some areas of the yard, sod, and some plantings. I knew up front that 3D did not provide landscaping, but they offered to bring a rep from their partner firm that does do landscaping.

+ -1 moreWe've had problem with the brick, and they won't come back out and fix it. Everything seemed great immediately after completion, but a couple years later the bricks began separating and becoming crooked. A quality brick job should last decades, so they obviously did something wrong in the installation. I think the problem was with compacting the soil underneath the walkway. I don't think they did it enough, so now it seems to be settling and making the walkway crooked. Even the edging they put in to prevent the problem is all over the place.
Description of Work: The work was done about 10 years ago. They laid a brick walkway for me.

+ 0 moreWhat can I say, these guys are awesome. Overall experience was excellent. Pete came in to take measurements and estimate. He described all pros and cons of different options for my patio. After I chose the method of layout and type of the brick we choose the day when they could start, running forward I can say that it was one week delay because of weather, but Pete mentioned and this was fully acceptable because this type of work has strong dependency on weather. They finished work in two days, removed several inches of soil with construction junk it was hard part (it was not obvious until they started digging, but nobody complained about this), prepared the surface, installed the bricks and gravel and then cleaned up the work site. Also forgot to mentioned before they started I decided to switch to different method of layout and this was fine. If the price looks high for somebody I advise that you calculate the price per square foot and compare with others. You will see that these guys are staying in average price range, but they are professionals and know how to do the job right.
