Hah!!! It was BEYOND wonderful from start to finish. Pete came out within days of my call that he returned right away. Pete was so helpful in explaining options and what would be done. He sent the estimate in a day! and it was very reasonable for the work to be done. The scheduling went very smoothly. The crew was hard-working, careful and talented. The work was done within 2-3 days. My husband and I had high hopes for our back walk to look beautiful and it far exceeded our dreams. We look out at it and smile. Walking on it is lovely and no puddles like with the old one. We would highly recommend 3D without hesitation. That all projects would go so smoothly and well done! Thank you so much Pete and crew!

The work was needed because of age of house and general up-dating. I got several proposals for this work and selected 3-D Brick Paving because they were responsive and prompt, easy to deal with, contributed creative solutions, did quality work, and their price was competitive. I also selected them because they have a sister company, Choice Cut Landscaping, that took care of the planting and I thought it was important to have professionals working together. I highly recommend 3-D Brick Paving.

I could not have been happier with my experience with 3D Brick Paving and Mike D'Aiello. I asked him to take a look at a problematic situation that I was ready to spend thousands of dollars to fix. Any contractor could have just done what I had originally had in mind--redoing the entire patio with a new drainage system. Instead, Mike did a thorough analysis of the entire situation and recommended what he honestly believed was the best thing to do--just lower the grade level of the landscaping by a couple of inches, something which he suggested a landscaping company could do for a very low cost. The estimate, then, was for $0, even though Mike spent over an hour of his time on it (on a Sunday, no less) and designed a comprehensive and inexpensive solution (that his company would not provide). I highly recommend him and his company for their tremendous expertise, their ability to quickly analyze and address client's needs, and for their extraordinary trustworthiness.

Detailed estimate provided and met with them at their site to pick out the pavers and finalize the design. Very punctual and professional. Work done on time and the patio/wall turned looks amazing. Great job cleaning up the site after the job was completed. Graded and seeded, and the grass grew in very nicely. Overall we are very impressed and satisfied with their work.

The Owner of 3D was responsive and quickly got his crew out to do the required work. They completed the job quickly and did and very nice job. Pricing was very fair.

I called to get an estimate. I wanted to get a quote for an outdoor living area of approximately 20'x22'. I was given a date that Pete would be out to give me a quote. On the day that Pete was to come out he called to say that he had been stopped by the police and would get back to me. After 2 hours I called him and got his voicemail and told him that I had other things to do and perhaps we should reshedule. He never called me back this was December 5th. I called today and spoke with Frank to express my disappointment of not receiving a call back. He apologized but went on to tell me that I was not in his service area. This should have been told to me on my initial call. So needless to say I'm not happy.

It was terrific! Frank came out and made some great suggestions about the stone to use. He picked a unilock product that complimented the look of the house but was not outrageously expensive. Then we wanted to match the stone veneer on the house to new stairs and seat walls and Frank recognized the veneer right away. He knew exactly what it was. I had 5 other estimates and none of them knew what that was right off the bat. Frank got the permits from the village for me and we started as soon as the materials were all in. On the first day, frank introduced me to Javier, the project manager. Javier has 20 years experience and it showed! We walked around the job and Javier knew just what was needed, although I was able to give input into exactly what I wanted. The crew came back everyday except sunday until the job was finished. They worked hard. I was able to monitor the project and make some requests as it went along. Javier and the crew really accommodated all of my requests. I am really happy we went with 3D and it looks really great.

The workmanship was excellent. Frank helped us pick out the right colors for the brick. Everything went smooth with no problems. I would highly recommend 3D to anyone wanting brick paving.

Pete at 3D was quick to come out to give an estimate after our initial inquiry. Other companies did not want to come out, but rather just give an estimate over the phone. 3Ds price was substantially higher than the others, although it is not clear whether the others' prices would have changed after the work was done. We chose 3D, in part, because they went above and beyond what the codes recommend for the gravel base depth beneath the pavers. We plan to have a car parked partially on the pavers at most times, so it is important that the pavers resist settling over time. There was some hiccups with the village permitting, which were resolved in time for us to have the work done before winter. Pete came out with his crew of workers at 8am, and we decided on a pattern on the spot. Over the course of the day, the workers (up to 5 of them at one point) worked efficiently to dig, pour and compact the gravel base, pattern and compact the bricks, and overlay with sand. The end result looks great. We would definitely use 3D again.

The employees showed up on time the day we agreed on starting the work. All work was performed to my satisfaction and job site was cleaned before the employees left. Our home now looks like a show piece and we are very pleased with all the performed.

The job started and finished on time and the crew led by Oscar worked hard and did an outstanding job. I?d like to mention two more details that confirmed our decision to go with 3D on this job. On the first day as they were removing the existing concrete and dirt (which should have been gravel) the Bobcat broke down, but they only lost the time it took to get another one to the site. At that point I was glad we didn?t go with someone who had to rent or depend limited quantity of equipment (e. g. the backup Bobcat). After removing sixteen inches of the horrible base originally under the concrete driveway, 3D replaced it with seventy tons (10 dump trucks) of high grade gravel. I?ve seen two driveways in my neighborhood get replaced and the contractor reused the original substandard base. I will recommend 3D to friends and family and will have them come back for future projects in our backyard.

It went well. The work was done very efficiently. The owner also recommended a railings company he trusted.

The work actually performed went very well. My only complaint is that it took them a long time after we agreed to have the work done to actually get us on the schedule. We were not a very big job for them so it was sandwiched around other larger jobs. They took their time and did a very nice job once they arrived. I would use them again.

I contacted 3D Brick and Paving and received a call back from Pete. Pete set up a time to come out and discuss what I wanted. He came out on time and met with me. We looked at the front area and discussed what needed to be replaced and how it would look. Pete let me know that he would write up a proposal and get back to me via email. I was emailed the quote and Pete and I discussed through email, for me to come out and look at the brick at their Des Plaines location. I was able to pick out the color and Pete helped match some bricks that would match for the pavers. We set up a start date through email. On the day they were to begin, Pete was unable to come out to the site. The first day the workers had to pull the old wall out and the pavers. They also dug and leveled the ground for the new bricks to be placed. There was some discrepancies with the front porch and a piece of slab concrete was removed and shouldn't have been. On the second day, again Pete was not at the site, the workers came to put the new wall in. I had to leave for work and I attempted to discuss what I wanted with the workers. I was hesitant about having to leave and not having Pete on site to help with the design. When I got back that night to see the wall it was not as discussed. The wall had a small pitch to the front and the new front porch area slopped into the grass. I left a phone message with Pete the next day explaining my concerns. I also left an email for him documenting the same issues. He emailed me back to let me know that he would be out to view the work that was done. Pete came out and acknowledged that the concrete area wasn't to be removed but would be fit with bricks to match up. He also agreed that the slope in the wall was to be leveled not pitched and the brick pavers were to be behind the wall. He assured me that he would be there on Thursday when the men finished the job. I was relieved he would covey the design to the workers. Thursday the men arrived and let me know that Pete would not be coming. I spent twenty minutes discussing what I wanted done with the wall and how I wanted things leveled. At this point I was extremely disappointed in Pete not showing up to help with the design. All said and done, the wall is fine. I can't say that I love it but it works. I really feel that Pete should have showed up when they were re-fixing the wall. I might contact them again but I would be more careful with plans before letting them start the work.

Frank was very patient and wanted to capture exactly what we wanted. I could not be happier. When as problem was noticed after work was completed, they came back out and fixed it.

All went great. Frank came to our home to provide the estimate and was very helpful in designing the new patio and recommending materials. We went to their outdoor showroom to confirm our choices, which was a really nice option rather than seeing individual stone samples. 3D handled the permits and was flexible with my schedule so that I could be home when work started. 3D arrived on time & finished all work on time and within budget. Everything looks great, and I would not hesitate to use them again Thanks!

Working with Pete and his team, from start to finish, was a pleasure. Pete was punctual, gave us a great set of designs to choose from, and kept in touch with us about scheduling. The crew was fast and did a wonderful job on the patio, and they cleaned up everything. We love the patio, and our overall experience with Pete was terrific. The price was reasonable--in the middle of the estimates we got--and absolutely worth every penny. We would use 3D again, and recommend them highly.

My mom's paver patio was significantly settled in several spots including right at the house. I pulled 3D's information off of the List based on the great reviews and was not disappointed. We received a prompt visit and quote for the spot repairs and sealing. Having no personal experience with the costs typical to this work, I bounced the number off an acquaintance who owns a like company in another area of the city who said it was an exceptionally good value as quoted. We moved forward with the job and were further delighted by both the work itself (the result was just as promised) but also by the courtesy and professionalism of the staff. I highly recommend them. STOP WASTING YOUR TIME SEARCHING FOR BRICK QUOTES This very frugal multiple homeowner has already done all the work for you. After receiving almost 10 quotes from landscapers (which i do not recommend performing brick work because it is not their specialty and not certified) to brick people, I chose 3-D. He is not the cheapest nor the most expensive. After giving several contractors my agonizing in-depth interview, I finally talked to somebody that passed - Mike, the owner, sounded honest, trustworthy, and compassionate about his brick men and company overall. These qualities are hard to come by in contractors. He came promptly, he listened, and gave his honest opinion about the project. If you are not sure about what brick or what design, then ask Mike and go to the showroom, and they will assist you without trying to sell you something. (which almost every contractor tries to do and I can't stand it) When they arrived, including Mike and the head foreman, Oscar, we went over the project using rope and paint outlining the sidewalk and patio. Oscar asked questions as needed throughout the whole process. For example, using outlet for cutting brick, cable and utility wires in the ground, asking how the brick looks, etc. I was at home a majority of the time and the only time the guys sat down was to eat lunch. I felt I needed to offer them something to drink and they greatly appreciated it. After the 1st day and at the end they cleaned up very well, didn't look like there was a bobcat and machines all over my yard. The guys took 2 days & a few hours to complete the job as promised in 95 degree weather. My husband and I couldn't believe it, it looked like we had a new house from the front and back. The quality, design (herring bone), curves, and colors of the brick was beautifully and evenly put together across the patio and sidewalk. I've seen other sloppy brick work and mine definitely stands out from the others. We've already been relaxing on the patio and even the kids love playing on it. The neighbors and family say it's gorgeous. No regrets for us because I know I won't be one of those people that have to call somebody else to replace a horrible brick job. Any potential customer interested in brick work is welcome to my home to see for yourself. Thanks again Mike and the crew for your honesty, outstanding craftsmenship, and hard work.

Once again 3D Brick Paving exceeded my expectations. Working with Frank is always a pleasure and you can't ask for better customer service and creative advice on paver design options and professional installation. The two-man team was on time, and worked nonstop till the job was completed. The areas were cleaned up and the refurbished patios look sensational and my lower portion drains perfectly. I will be calling Frank in the near future for some additional paver work and I would recommend 3D Brick Paving without hesitation.

He come to our home on several occasions before starting the job to make sure that we understood and agreed to everything that was planned to be done. We also meet him at their showroom to view different bricks and different layouts that could work for us. The crew lead by Javier was amazing.
