Jerry Augsberger

This took place over the Christmas holidays. My 21 year old son heard scratching and footsteps coming from the ceiling of his bedroom. We suspected a raccoon.He did not hear any noises for several of the following nights. My inspection of the outside of the house and roof revealed no obvious entry points. My neighbor suggested that I call Jerry Augsberger who he knew personally. I called the number provided and left a message. Augsberger returned my call and we arranged a time for the inspection. Augsberger is licensed with the state of Illinois and does a lot of work for the City and county of Dekalb. He arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and began his inspection.He did not see any indication of animal intrusion or sign. He noted that there was not a lot of headspace in the attic over where my son had heard the noises and suggested that an animal may have been on the roof. To be safe, he set two traps anyway, one large one for raccoons and and a smaller one for squirrels. After 3 days and nights, he returned and inspected the traps. Nothing was caught but we did not expect anything to be caught. He seems very knowledgeable and was reasonable in price. I am confident that if we had any animals in the attic, Jerry would have caught them. It was worth the money to make sure that we were animal (raccoon) free.
