Called on Mar. 5th and left word with answering service that my stove needed to be looked at as it was showing orange flames instead of blue. Answering service said that there would be a $59 service call and $30 charge. If work is to be done the $59 would be deducted from the repair costs. Set up appointment for Friday. They would call early on the day to let me know when they would be coming out. Called Priorty early on the day of service and cancelled the appointment. The orange flames coming from the burners have stopped and the gas company indicated that it was the mix in the gas line that has now been fixed. If something comes up again in the future for appliance, I will call this contractor.

I called Priority Applicance Repair for assistance after noticing some water around my refrigerator. A tech (Steve) helped me troubleshoot the problem over the phone. Apparently, there was a small leak in the refrigerator's cold water delivery system. This looked to be a simple repair, but I decided to have a professional do it. Another tech (Don) arrived at the agreed upon time, quickly found the problem, and replaced some old brittle tubing. Everything was fine for 3 weeks until the refrigerator started leaking again. Don was onsite within hours and replaced more bad tubing in a different spot at no charge. He even helped to mop up the puddles. From my experience this company was very customer focused and I would not hesitate to hire them again.

The ice maker in my less than 2 year old Refrigerator stopped making ice. I found Priority Appliance through Angie's list and called them. They came out the next day during the time frames we had discussed and within a minute had diagnosed the problem and if a few minutes more, the ice maker was back in business. Don was courteous and friendly. One word: AWESOME
Description of Work: Ice Maker was not making Ice. Priority Appliance fixed the problem.

I selected Priority Appliance Repair based on the reviews I read on Angie's. I had a coupon for 50%off service and the cost of the visit seem to be very reasonable...and it was. However, the cost of the repair was nothing short of thievery! It took Mike 5 minutes to diagnosis the problem since it was the most common failure and the first path he checked. Turned out to be the Thermal Fuse. He replaced it in 7 minutes and was done. The service call and diagnosis cost $30 and $29 respectively. I had a 50% off coupon (0n the visit) so it cost a total of $44 to determine the thermal fuse was bad....Very reasonable. HOWEVER, my total bill was $164. The cost of the part at my local sears is $12 which leaves $152 labor...REALLY?? For 7 minutes of work? Based on that rate, Mike charges ~$1300/hour! Seems like I got taken...you bet it does.

The work was done professionally. My problem was with the price. They said that the service call was free with repair. The man came out and ordered a part. When he returned to repair the refrigerator his bill included a service charge. He said that I received a special price on the quote. When I complained he removed the service charge. I went with an Angie's List member to avoid this type of thing

Later, I had another question about the washer and instead of coming out, they gave me something easy to try on my own. They said if that didn't work, they would come out. SInce then, no problems at all. So my issue was resolved and I was not charged for the over the phone advice.

Our oven was taking forever to preheat and food was taking a very long time to cook. I found Priority Appliance Repair on Angie's list and was impressed by all of the good reviews. I called them Friday morning and they sent Don, a technician, out within a few hours. He took one look in the oven and said that the bottom element had burned out. He didn't have one that fit our oven in his van but said they did at the warehouse. He said he'd try to get back to fix the oven on Saturday, but most likely it would be Monday. On Saturday morning Priority called me and said that Don would be at our house between 1:00 and 4:00. He did show up within that time frame and had our oven working again within 10 minutes. Not only that, they guaranteed the element for one year. I was very happy that they were able to fix the problem so quickly. I am impressed with Don's promptness - any repair person who shows up when they say they will is one I want to do business with . If we have any other large appliance repairs needed, I most definitely will call Priority.

Priority Appliance Repair diagnosed why our 15-year-old Sub Zero refrigerator wasn't cooling properly. He said that we had a coolant leak, most likely in the condenser coils. The repairman warned us that replacing the condenser coils would cost $1500+ and suggested that we try refilling the coolant with a type of automotive coolant that has a leak plugging material in it. He said that it might or might not work to fix the leak, or that the leak could come back in 6 to 12 months. We thought that it was worth a try for $100 to avoid spending $1500. So far it has worked. If we had to do this annually it would be more economical than replacing the condenser coils.

I called priority appliance repair after my tenant informed me that the oven is not working. They called back the next day, and scheduled an appointment for the day after. I didn't need to go there, as I trusted their work based on other Angie's list reviews. they diagnosed and fixed the problem in 15 minutes. I'm happy with the service and promptness, but I think the price is too high for a less than 30minute in and out job. Next time, I'll look into doing this myself as I found a lot of DIY videos on oven repair.

My dryer stopped heating up so I called Priority Appliance Repair on a Friday afternoon. The woman that answered the phone said someone would call me in the morning to set up a time to come out. He called around 9:30 and said he could come between 11:00 and 1:00. He showed up within that window, diagnosed the problem in about 5 minutes and fixed it in about 10 minutes. I was very happy to have my dryer repaired so quickly and I thought the cost was reasonable.

To repair the stove would have required a $480 part, so we passed. The dishwasher needed the resetting of a gasket. The repairman was very helpful, courteous and honest. This will be our choice for all future appliance repairs. An interesting aside: We called another major appliance sales organization and asked them about their rates. They said that a repairman would be sent for each appliance and each would cost $150 plus parts, which would have cost us $300. The other organization is also an A rated organization on Angie's list.

Service provider showed up when they said they would - a huge plus. Replaced a coil in the refrigerator. Repair person could have done a better job of cleaning up after himself - left a puddle of water on the floor. I was a little surprised that he seemed to go straight to what he thought the problem was and replaced a part - he didn't pull the refrigerator out and look at the back or otherwise inspect the overall unit. That might not have been necessary and I'm not sure if he would have found anything else, but I would have expected a complete 'look' for the cost of the call.
