The price was rolled in with a bunch of other services. They are reputable and they are a local business. They have done excellent work in our house.

They have done everything. Construction, painting, remodeling, handyman, exterior and interior over the years. They did not charge us because they have various projects with us. He's good, thorough and reputable.

My biggest issue was that there was not communication from the contractors to his workers. So when they were doing something wrong I had to call the contractor so he could let them know. This became a problem because he did not check their work so it fell on me from a day to day basis

We got Steve's name from a friend,who heard good things about the company, but never worked with him. Everything was moving smooth until there was a problem with wall oven (Bosch)installation. The oven was installed and left with error message on the screen. He blamed the unit (broken unit ; they installed it properly) and when I asked for Bosch rep to be brought in the blame escalated. I was threatened to have lien put on the property even before the Bosch technician was able to see what was the problem. It was discovered that the unti was fine, it was t he installation due to electrical circuit problems that cause only 20v to be reaching the unit. Steve is a very short tempered individual when money are not flowing the way he wants or any problem occured. Later, a week after he was paid in full, there was a moisture dripping from one of the smoke detectors he installed. When notified, he blamed THAT on not sufficient insolation, which was never brought to my attention even when I was present during the installation of the smoke detectors. Demand for money was ferociuos even before the village inspection was not completed or scheduled. Attention to details and clean up is not existant or minimal at best. He gives one year warranty to all the labor( standard for the field), but one week after he got the money it is clear that he will not stay behind his word( fridge is not making ice, but there is no reason to ask for that to be done). He had the audacity to try and throw quotes at me from the contact I wrote for him as defense for my request to fix the smoke detector. I would never, never recommed this company to anyone.

The overall experience was very good. We have a small master bath, and we wanted it to be gutted because it was old. We didn't have lot of room to work with. The owner's name is Steve, and he came out. We talked about different ideas of what we can do. He was very creative. He brought pictures, and kind of worked out on what we wanted to do. He gave me an estimate on the labor only, which is what we wanted because we wanted to pick up and pay for our own stuff. They came out and gutted the bathroom. We had a couple of problems, which was not due to them because when we gut, things do show up. They solved a couple of extra problems, which were great at the same time. They were just very easy to work with. They were very professional. They cleaned up meticulously every day. They never created any problem. They prepared the area, and they were very careful. We have a new bathroom, and they did a great job. They were really well-priced. They did a great job. There were a couple of goofy things afterward. Their responsiveness was always been very good. The people who works for him are really good, which is kind of everything.

I liked it and it was very good. I didn't have any problems. I was very happy. It could have been cheaper but I guess you get better experience with the cost. They were very professional. I would definitely use them in the future.

We had hoped to use NSHI for a number of pending renovation projects. The very first (bathroom repair) required so much personal oversight on our part that, were it not for inspecting every step, we would have ended up with mismatched tiles and our exhaust fan venting straight into the attic! Besides glossing over details and responsibility, Steve responded to our observations in a totally unprofessional manner. Fortunately, our contract includes a performance guarantee. Needless to say, however, we will neither engage nor recommend Steve for any further work, and strongly caution against relying on NHSI for dependable service.

Our work began with demolition on September 4 and we entertained 60 people for dinner on October 22. Steve had recommended that every appliance and tile, etc. was chosen before demolition to expedite the process. Steve and his crew delivered with artistry and precision. As an example, even the details of laying the flooring in the best pattern for the floor and the space were of concern to Steve. He asked for my choice in every decision; when I would ask for samples, Steve provided several and gave me the time line to make my choice. At one point during demolition, we experienced problems with our electricity to our refrigerator. Although it was well after working hours, Steve was at our house immediately to provide a remedy to the problem. Even now, two and a half years later, if there is a problem with the kitchen, Steve will fix it immediately at a moments notice. He takes great pride in his work. During the process, Steve's workers were dedicated, respectful and clean. They were always willing to 'go the extra mile' because they take pride in their work. Although there are many very large kitchen redos in our area, Steve never pressured us to consider one. On the contrary. He discussed ways we could maximize our space for a minimum cost, without sacrifice of quality.

Our basement was finished within the set time-line. From the moment Steve walked into our house, I was able to breathe a sigh of relief. There was a sense that every detail would be attended to, whether I was on site or not. Steve was concerned not only with the physical details, but the aesthetic affect. This makes him unique in his field. He will never insinuate his choices, but he will offer advise, which is always wonderful. He is a hard working, talented man who honors his clients choices and privacy. His crews arrive promptly, and Steve checks on them and their progress several times daily.
