Camacho Refinishing & Repair

Alex uses poor quality products. I had to send one table back because it was damaged immediately after he reaired it. The table was not abused, the finish started to look uneven and lightend in one spot like it had been burned (which it hadn't). Another table started showing scratches again within a couple of weeks. We REALLY were very carefull with the tables (It's all adults in our home), but they showed damage. I do have to say that Alex was very nice, and tried to correct the problems, but the problems continued.

Alex did a great job refinishing 2 cane back chairs for me. He advised me the least expensive way of going about it which I appreciated because they were more sentimental (from my mother) than practical. I was pleasantly surprised that they turned out so well that now we are using them in the family room.

Alex and his team of workers are very diligent and hard working. I would absolutely recommend them and would go back to them any time that I need any furniture repair. I am grateful to have found Camacho on Angie's List.

Excellent from start to finish. Alex arrived on time , gave us an estimate that day. We called him the next day to say we wanted to go ahead with the estimate. He picked up the table the next day and had it done within a week. He called to give us a delivery time, and was here at the scheduled time. Very professional with a smile! The table looks great.

The entire experience was outstanding. Alex arrived promptly each time for the estimate, pickup, and delivery, and was pleasant and professional. The price was competitive, the work was done quickly, and the quality was absolutely outstanding. Alex has an impeccable attention to detail in both his work and business dealings. He also has a deep knowledge of furniture styles, woods, finishes, and fabrics, so he can offer good recommendations. Plus he has a good network of suppliers for things like fabric or glass tops. The pieces which were refinished are delicate, heirloom antiques, and now they look terrific - the finish is perfectly smooth and uniform, and in cases where it was necessary to match existing finishes, the hues, sheens, and textures all match extremely well. On the reupholstering, I was astonished with the breathtaking results. Although the chair has many curves, bumps, buttons, and tufts, the complicated pattern of the fabric matches everywhere between cushions and backing, and the drape is utterly perfect. Alex delivered top quality results and a classy experience for a fair price; I highly recommend him.

The telephone was answered by a very poor quality voice message by a voice that was of poor quality and poor English. I could not understand the entire message. I left my name, number and what I wanted. I never received a return call.

From contacting Alex through the delivery of the furnture back you could not ask for a better experience. In addition to refinishing the chairs he replaced plastic disks on the the feet of the chairs used to protect the floors at no additional charge.

He came early in February to give me an estimate and I decided to go with him on the 27th. He came and picked up my tv stand for no extra charge; it was a very heavy piece approx. 165 lbs. He estimated that it would take two weeks to finish, but he called me the following Tuesday, March 3 saying it was finished. The following day he delivered the piece, again with no extra charge. Alex does great work and I would highly recommend him!

He returned the chairs ahead of schedule. They look beautiful. I was so pleased with the work that I gave him a mahogany table to refinish.

Alex came to the house to estimate the job, pick up the table and return it. The table looks great, Alex was very responsive to questions and finished the job in less than a week.

Mr. Camacho returned my call within 24 hours. He had been out of town and had just returned. He came to my house the following day and made the arrangements to repair the furniture. He took the rocking chair to his facility and promised to repair & return it to me in 1 week. He called 1 week later as promised, and brought the repaired chair with him. He was able to fix the cabinet lock in our house. He was very neat and professional.

The project went great. Mr. Camacho did a great job. He is clearly well versed in what he was doing. He knew a lot about all of the wood and the wood grain. I felt comfortable letting him handle something that was antique and had been in my family for three generations.

The guy from the furniture refinishing company took three or four weeks to do the job because he was busy. He took the chairs in July and brought them back three or four weeks ago. He called me, then came and picked them up. After he picked them up and looked at them, he gave me an estimate and the document. When the chairs were ready, he dropped them off. They look great. I chose him because, of the two people I had selected, the other guy was very busy.

Alex did a great job. He promptly scheduled the pickup of a broken dining room chair, giving me a quote for refinishing a set of cherry bookshelves when he came to get the chair. He fixed the chair within the promised time, and picked up the bookshelves when he brought back the chair. He completed work on the bookshelves sooner than promised, and gave me a convenient delivery time within a day or two after the job was done. Alex clearly explained the all work he intended to do, and completed both jobs very promptly with excellent results and no complications, for the quoted price. He was very easy to work with, conscientious, and professional.

Mr. Camacho and his employees came to the house the moved all the furniture to his shop. In the middle of the process, he called us into the shop to inspect the repaired furniture and choose stain colors for refinishing. Mr. Camacho, as well as all of his employees, were prompt, courteous, and perfectionists in their work. Every single piece was beautifully restored. The company also moved all of the furniture back to our house and assembled it as necessary. A wonderful experience!

Alex provided me with an estimate to repair the leg of my chair which had broken at a joint. He made a quality repair. Alex was personable, responsive to my questions and furnished the job early than promised.

I inherited a 1930s dining set from my grandmother that had some damage to the finish and was looking worn and dated. Alex came out to do the estimate the next day and really showed a knowledge and enthusiasm for his work. He inspected the table and was able to confirm that it was of good quality and still in good basic shape. He explained exactly how the refinishing process would work. And he gave me an estimate that same day. A few weeks later, after we decided to go ahead with the work, he came and picked it up right out of our living room; I didn't have to move or lift a thing, and they took great care with each of the pieces. A few weeks later, he called and we went into his shop to confirm our finish color and give him the fabric for the seat bottoms. And a few weeks after that, it was done. Everything looks great and we are very happy we worked with Alex!

Alex is very pleasant to work with. He came and gave us a quote very quickly. He came back and picked up the buffet and vanity. He even let us store our vanity at his shop as we were moving and we did not want to have the piece damaged during the move. The quality of the workmanship is stunning. The buffet is absolutely gorgeous and I am sure it looks better than it did when my grandmother got it 78 years ago. I won't let anyone do my refinishing other than these guys. It does sometimes take a couple of tries to get a return call, but it is worth the extra effort.

They are professional and do excellent work. They took away the furniture and had it for three weeks. When they returned, they placed the furniture back where I asked them to. They did a very good job.

Alex took a while to get on the phone, but once I got him, he was great. He quickly scheduled an appointment to come see the table and chairs and give me an estimate. Once I agreed to do the work, he then came back at a time convenient for me to pick up the table and chairs. He called sooner than I expected to say that the work was done, and then delivered them again at a convenient time. The work was very well done. He had a colleague do the laminate top for the new table top, and it came out really well. The chairs and table base were done very well. The set looks new and with a little luck, I'll get another 40 years out of them. :-)
