Description of Work: Wired from basement to third floor and installed 6 fixtures and 3 outlets due to new backporch.

Description of Work: We were in urgent need of having a 220 line installed for our about-to-be-delivered dryer. Out of numerous companies called, only Blazer responded immediately. A price range was given to us over the phone (far lower than other electrical contractors we spoke with). Mr. Blazejewski and 2 assistants came out that same week. The job was somewhat bigger than expected since the line, installed on the exterior of the building, had to travel a considerable distance from the back of the building to our second floor condo. Nevertheless, the job was completed within 4-5 hours as had been estimated. A hole had to be drilled through the outer brick wall into the laundry room and the conduit with wiring fixed on the back wall of the room to the newly installed outlet. Mr. Blazejewski clearly explained our options before proceeding with this. The work was done with impressively little damage to the wall, and a workman cleaned up all plaster dust, etc. Although the job was bigger than Mr. Blazejewski had expected, he felt responsible for honoring that estimate. The final charge was $860. Blazer's responsiveness, price, workmanship, and overall courtesy were exceptional. We highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for whole house electrical inspection for only $89. He came out and did an assessment for me. I thought he was very knowledgeable but I think my project was a little too small for him. I thought the price of the deal was reasonable.

Description of Work: The problem: my 1 1/2 year old furnace blew the circuit breaker many times and now did not come on when I tried to turn the breaker on. |Jack was personable and very professional and came with many years of experience He checked and cleaned up three junction boxes which contained extra wires no longer in use and found that the circuit breaker for the furnace was loose. He tightened up the breaker and checked all the others. He was efficient but no hurried and completed what I needed within one hour. Voila! My furnace has been up and running since he left. I am happy to be warm again. |I recommend Blazer Electric Company to anyone who wants expert service from an electrician.

Description of Work: Canned lighting was added in my kitchen and 2 pendant lights were hung over my kitchen table. Due to 2 layers of sheet rock in the ceiling, being able to find the best placement for the lights with existing wiring, etc, was not easy. I ended up with 3 extra large/open holes from this trial and error to be patched before painting could be done. More should have been done to contain the dust produced by the sheet rock cutting (running a shop vac). Upon completion of the job I was asked to pay in cash (paid to a related company not Blazer) instead of by credit card because of the 4% cost to his company (no offer to split the 4% saved by my paying cash). This should have been made clear before the job began.

Description of Work: Replace existing ceiling fan with new ceiling fan. Jack did a great job. He was thorough but quick. This is the second time I have used Blazer Electric and will continue to use them on all future electrical projects.

Description of Work: Called on two different occassions (with 2 follow-up calls) to have him come out for an estimate. He promised to come on several dates with no specific time, only that he would call an hour before hand. He answers the first call immediately, then does not follow up. If he is too busy, or is not interested in the job-he should be upfront and tell me, instead of having me stay at home waiting for him to come. I find this incredibly unprofessional for someone with such good ratings on Angie's list. it makes me question the reliability of the ratings, especially since his name comes up on the first page.

Description of Work: The electric service on the second floor went out. Blazer Electric estimated approximately 2 hours to troubleshoot and correct the problem. Blazer Electric was able to find the problem. Blazer Electric went about this very methodically. There was a loose wire in a junction box in the attic. This actually took over 3 hours. The initial quote was honored. Very pleased with this service.

Description of Work: Jack and his helper installed a new outlet in my kitchen for my microwave as it was overloading the circuit when I ran other appliance at the same time. The job got tricky as they had to run a wire thru the attic. He found a way to do it and repaired it quickly and efficiently. They then left the kitchen as they found it. Fantastic work -quick, friendly and very professional. I would call him again and we will refer him to my husband's plumbing customers if they need an electrician.

Description of Work: I requested a quote to rewire the electrical plugs for my washer and dryer, which were not grounded. An employee came out and suggested a price of $340 to do the work but did not give a written estimate. Since it's a small job I hadn't planned to call anyone else. I left a message on the "office phone" that we wanted to schedule the work but never got a call back. Through a friend I found an excellent and honest electrician who came out right away and did the job for $65. Based on this experience I would not call Blazer again.

Description of Work: purchased a $99 coupon online in early december. Took nearly a month to schedule someone to come to my house. Called at 9PM on a Friday night and told me someone would be at my home at 7AM to complete the requested work and I would need to have materials ready for him because their service van was broken down? Seriously? I informed him I could not obtain materials before 7AM in the morning, he said the service tech could pick up the materials for me but they were going to charge me for the time? It's not my fault your service van is broken down, so why do I need to pay for your time to get materials that you normally would have in your van? Quality of work was excellent, with time to pick up materials, I ended up spending $147 beyond the $99 coupon (including $67 of materials). Ended up at $250 to mount 2 extra garage lights. Quality and professionalism of electrician that completed the work was excellent though. Lack of profesionalism on the part of their scheduler / dispatacher.
