If you need a very good electrician, look no further. Very difficult job was given to Blazer and he did just a great job. Can't thank him enough for his hard work and will use them again for sure.

It was great. He gave us some advice on options for upgrading the home (107 years old) and what things we might do in stages. Future work will be based on these recommendations.

We had an intermittent buzzing noise from the wall near the circuit panel. When I first called, Blazer was very responsive and helpful, and was able to send someone out quickly. I especially appreciated the early morning (7:00 am) appointment. Although he was unable to find the source of the noise, he did a very thorough inspection and did the best he could to troubleshoot and to exclude potential sources, especially given that the noise was not happening while he was there. He did a great job on a few miscellaneous repair jobs to help make the trip worthwhile.

I had an issue that my disconnect switch had been overloaded and the inside had essentially melted. Jack diagnosed the issue and was able to move the disconnect box to a spot where there was good wire available and thus didn't need to re-wire the whole system. Jack knew exactly what he was doing and explained in detail what the issue was and how it would be solved. He was really honest and charged a very fair price. He was able to come out the same day I called him (Saturday none the less), which I very much appreciated. He's extremely professional and I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I tried scheduling an appointment for an estimate with John/Jack a few times, but was unsuccessful. He said he would call me when he's in my area but have not hear back from him. Left work early on a Sat to make it home for the time he was scheduled but he ended up canceling after I called him. I gave him a C, and not lower, because he was very nice on the phone every time we spoke.

Jack (the owner and primary electrician) was great to work with. Very honest, straightforward, and helpful. Plus, his price was fair and the quality of his work was excellent. Our panel was original 1960s, and was possibly a fire hazard since it apparently had breakers that would sometimes not trip under a fault! Jack came out to do the inspection and provide a quote. Our panel is embedded in a cinder block wall, and it's Chicago so everything is in conduit, so he warned me ahead of time that he would likely need to cut out a portion of cinder block above and/or below the panel in order to actually get to the conduit. That ended up being true, but at least he warned me ahead of time. Looking back on it, I wish he would have had the means to put some kind of cover over that opening, but I did it to my own standards so I'm okay with it. Jack and his other crew member did the entire panel replacement in one day, plus I had them convert a bunch of 1-gang multi-circuit switch boxes to 2-gang boxes throughout the house.

I was very satisfied. Jack returned my call for a quote the same day (just ~ an hour later) and called the night before to confirm the timing of our appointment. He removed the light fixture & capped the box in the ceiling. Then accessed the attic to avoid having to remove drywall in the hallway. He used drop cloths to keep things neat. In fact, the only mess I had was in the powder room where he shook his hands to dry them vs. use the hand towel. I had to dry a lot water drops from the sink, wall & floor.

Very professional and knowledgeable !!! Takes pride in their work. Mr Blazer called us back right away and was at our home within two days. His crew is also very courteous knowledgeable and professional. Will definitely use them again. Very happy with the service!

This was my first time using Angieslist, I picked Blazer Electric based on all the really positive reviews. I was really impressed, I dealt with 2 people from Blazer Electric one being Jack who I assume is the owner. Both people were very professional and communicative through the whole process for the work we needed to get done at our home. He called when he said he was going to be calling, and came when he said he or his worker was going to be coming. I had seen a couple negative reviews on here, but like eBay, I assume there are some people that just can't be pleased or competition. The positives are in my experience what you can expect dealing with these guys. Jack worked around my schedule and was very honest. It's nice to have found an Electrician that we can use that does great work and can be trusted. The work they did was neat/clean and done right without cutting corners, you can't go wrong with Jack. I will be recommending this company to family members.

We moved into our new (old) home and knew we needed to update our ancient fuse box to 100 amp service. Jack at Blazer Electric asked us to email pictures of our meter and our fuse box instead of coming to our home. As soon as I emailed him the pictures, he gave us a call back and said he could upgrade us and that we qualified for an Angie's List coupon. He set up the time and date, which was only a few days later. He called the night before to confirm and was at our house bright and early - at 7:20 am. He and his assistant, Sebastian worked efficiently. The entire job took about 6 hours. Jack was a pleasure and the work was done professionally and the cost was great!

Jack from blazer was incredibly responsive, professional, and courteous. He completed the work in a timely manner, was very prompt and informative. Obtaining proof of insurance was an easy process as well. I would highly recommend his company to anyone! I even referred him to my Mother.

Never showed up on appt. Day

Within one week I made the call, they came out and did the estimate, and completed the work. They did everything they said they would do and could not have been more responsive. This was a pretty big job and we, the homeowners, were overhelmed by the list of things the inspector found. I called Jack, he came right out and after we agreed to the estimate he came the next day, with three guys, and finished the job! We were so pleased. Blazer Electric is amazing - you can not go wrong working with them. There is a reason they are so highly ranked on Angies List. And, the coupon was amazing. My mother saved almost $1000 on the job using the coupons provided!!!

From beginning to end, wonderful! Getting the permit, working with timing and scheduling, staying in touch, explaining and getting the job done. Also very neat in cleaning up. And very nice. I would fully recommend Jack again.

Jack and his guys were great. They arrived promptly as promised and even offered to remove their shoes. The panel upgrade (went to 200 amp) went as planned and Jack said he would return to install the included whole house surge suppressor because the one he prefers wasn't in stock. I wouldn't know the difference but appreciate his caring and attention to detail. On the exterior I had an issue with my meter where the box wasn't long enough. Jack brought a part and corrected this issue. In addition, he corrected a switched outlet and fixed a few ungrounded boxes in my basement. I plan to use him on more future work! Highly recommended.

Jack was prompt in responding to my request for a quote, and he worked with our schedule to get the work completed quickly. He also provided useful guidance on the layout and type of fixture.

Jack and the other electrician showed up 10 minutes early and got to work right away. They both were very professional and friendly. I told them where we wanted the outlets and they installed them exactly where we asked and they look fantastic. We finally have outdoor outlets (not sure how previous owners managed). Since they finished the work so quickly and it looked great, I had them replace a single outlet on the front of the house that tripped a lot. Jack suggested a double outlet and I was happy he was able to do it. It will really come in handy come Christmas time with the lights. They also applied caulk around all of the outlets without us having to ask. Overall, my wife and I are extremely happy with the professional work. Both guys were so easy to work with and finished all the work in under two hours (no mess left behind either, very clean) Any electrical work I need in the future, these will be the guys I call. I highly recommend them. You can't go wrong with Blazer Electric.

I got a great and excellent service from them.

Called to make appointment and they worked with my schedule. They called the night before to confirm time and were on time the day of appointment. They are experts in their field and very professional. When explaining what needed to be done they spoke in lay terms so we could understand the issues and what needed to be repaired. I highly recommend them for any electric need.

After recently purchasing a new home I had several electrical issues, mainly with outlets. Because it is an older home (1937) there is a lot of old electrical and poorly done rehabbed electrical. They came out and fixed the issues that had been found on inspection, and completely replaced several outlets. They also remedied several issues which came up in the course of their work, which was appreciated.

Quick response for a quote and reasonable scheduling. They were on-time and completed the work in 1 day, as promised. A minor issue was resolved the next day. We were very satisfied with the entire experience.

Just based upon his responsiveness, I would have liked to have him included among the contenders.

Jack from Blazer gave me a price and estimate of how much time he would need to be here over the phone. He and his associate ended up being here for one to one and a half hours longer. He fixed the problem and explained some issues I'm having with my dimmers on the canned lights. Jack also changed many light bulbs including difficult halogen bulbs. Jack is a very soft spoken friendly European immigrant who I would highly recommend. Although Jack was here longer than he had estimated, he charged the price he quoted on the phone. I will use him in the future and will recommend him to friends in the area.

I really like them and I am very happy with them. He has done all of my electrical work. I have use him for years. I will continue to use them.

Jack came out at the date and time specified, (in the middle of a serious snow storm!). He and his crew did the work efficiently for the price quoted and completed the job on time. Jack is good to work with and very knowledgeable. I appreciated his willingness to work on Saturdays.
