Went very well. Michael installed a new sump pump & battery, etc. for us several years ago. No floods or worries. Most recently replaced outdoor sump drainage hose. Great guy, very knowledgeable and reliable.

Michael Polisky is a fabulous handyman who thinks outside the box. We have used him for electrical problems in the past, which are his specialty, because he is an electrical engineer. We have also hired him to fix other problems including carpentry, plumbing and a computer. He is always prompt and ready to work with the right materials and tools. He is courteous and understands problems, even when I have a difficult time explaining them. We have used him numerous times and he always finds a solution. I have recommended him to our neighbors. I joke that I am going to hire him on a monthly retainer! While we walk around the house discussing problems that need to be taken care of, I usually ask him if he could fix something that I forgot to mention to him on the phone. If he has time, he is accommodating. Our house is 50 years old and needs updating. Last January, we zeroed in on water leaks. There were a number of drain pipes leaking under sinks. Michael purchased the proper tubing and fixed all the leaks. The leak under a bathroom sink was so bad, it had destroyed the wooden cabinet flooring below. Michael bought wood and rebuilt the whole floor under the sink. He also replaced a leaking cartridge in the shower. He cleaned all the areas after he finished working. We have had no problems recently with leaking sinks.Also, there were some holes between the pipes and the wall, I asked him to fill in the cracks so we wouldn't have any undesirable animals coming in. Incidentally, he used special material around the pipes so it is possible to access the wall if needed. An Angie's List member requested information about computer service. I hired Michael about 2 years ago to fix my computer and help with all its wiring. I don't remember exactly what he did, but I have not had any problems since he worked on it. In the next week, Michael is going to replace the side door to our garage because it is warped. He did the research and has chosen a door that is the right size, of good quality and relatively inexpensive.

This review is long overdue, I've been calling Mike for help over the past 5-7 years. Mike is a real and quot;findand quot; for anyone looking to get great quality work by an honest guy at a fair price. Plus he is maximally polite and professional, so much so that I had no hesitations sending him out to my parents' home to do a variety of important odd jobs. My father, an old-school guy called me and asked, and quot;Where'd you find this guy? He knows everything!and quot; And my mother just said, and quot;He's so nice, we enjoy having him out here.and quot; (Perhaps they were a bit overjoyed since I was paying the bill! Just kidding.) Forget about cheap. He's not overpriced, but he's not cheap. That's not the selling point here. He's fair priced for the north shore and he'll give you a fair estimate and you can count on him being accurate. He doesn't dawdle while working an hourly rate; he works until it's done, and done right. He's never been reserved about saying and quot;it'll cost you more to repair than buying a new oneand quot; and risk losing a job. When you hire Mike you get information you can use and workmanship that is superior. You can call him for just about anything. He's a computer wizard (truly) and he'll set up your home connectivity or repair your PC, he'll do plumbing, small carpentry, anything electrical, he knows the ins-and-outs of appliances and really anything mechanical. He's resourceful and efficient. Warning, he's by the book, all about safety, so if you're looking for a and quot;corner-cutterand quot; type of guy to do a job quick and dirty, Mike's not the guy for that type of thing. But if you want a completely trustworthy, highly intelligent do-it-all handyman, give him a call. He's a real good guy and it's a pleasure working with him.

At this point, I have decided to take the risk of not having a generator. $8000 to $10000 seems a lot of money for a low likelihood event. If I rethink that, I will probably call this company.

The owner, Michael, listens well and solves the problem for me. They are very fair priced. I have used him on a number of occasions and he is always prompt.

I dropped the machine off at his house. He didn’t know exactly what the problem was, but it didn’t take him much to fix it. He called me after fixing the machine. I was not charged anything for it which I felt was nice.

Our children's bathroom pipes froze during the recent cold spell here, and Michael immediately showed up, diagnosed and repaired the problem despite the weather. While he was here, we asked if he could replace a number of light fixture in our basement and he promptly did this work as well. As noted above, Michael has done quite a bit of work for us and a number of other homeowners in our neighborhood. He is not only prompt but, most importantly, has always provided an honest assessment of the problem, whether he can resolve it and the cost.
