Well first the cost was a bit over the top but I was stuck. I was headed to California to get my elderly father and wanted the house to be ready when we got back. i had 20 days and didn't have time to shop around. The salesman knew that and took advantage of the situation. Well they found problems but it was fixable so they were a couple days late but when I saw the bathroom. I was shocked, by how cheaply it had been done. Bath tube that I thought was to be bleached to clean it up. Nope. At first no towel rack until I complained. Again cheap was used. And then there is the closet door. I especially made an issue about getting a door for the closet. Well no door. I asked, well somehow the door didn't make it on the contract. I have been trying to get this taken care of for 6 months. they are supposedly working on a door but the last time they called they wanted to install one of those accordion folding doors, that I could have bought at Menard's 6 months ago for $30. I was a bit upset that they thought I would go for that. Maybe in an apartment setting but not a house for my father. Well we still don't have a door and I haven't heard from Re=Bath for a couple weeks now. I think I got screwed...
Description of Work: Remodel bathroom in house I bought to move elderly father into in 20 days or less. Job dome in September of 2019 in Bethany, IL.

We really trusted the salesman. After we signed the papers and the date was set we never heard from him again. It was also the last job that the installer did for the company. He was to leave the company after our remodel was completed. We have no complaint about him. Very competent and a nice young man. We received the very basic products for the bathroom. WE never got a chance to really pick out the items...the salesman just said it would be what we were looking for. The price for items in the remodel was never broken down to show us how much each thing cost. Just a grand total for the job. I asked for an itemized list but was just sent an itemized list of the products not the price to go with each item. No superviisor or owner or salesman ever came to check out the job that was completed. We just felt that we really trusted and liked the salesman but he never came through as he said he would. We never received a survey and nobody from the company ever contacted us during the 4 days the installer was here or afterward, You would think 18,000.00 dollars would get a thank you note or a "look see" from someone in the company. The bathroom is my husband's and it is just very basic. Nobody would look at it and say "isn't it a pretty bath".

The quote was for $6000. The experience was good. We're contracted with them to start the work next week. We were able to look at pictures of the type of shower and tub we wanted. They gave suggestions. They were really knowledgeable. We just felt more comfortable with them because they have done work for us about 5 years ago. We knew what they could do and the prices are competitive with the others.
Description of Work: Sunrise Construction & Design gave us a quote for completely remodeling our shower and bath. They're doing a shower surround, bath, fixtures, etc.

They arrived a little before they said and went right to work. They said it would be noisy while they removed the old tub and tile so we went to breakfast. When we got back, that was all gone and they were working on a new sub floor and new walls to attach the enclosure. The plumber had been scheduled and was doing his job. The two installers were on the move the entire time but asking us where we wanted grab bars, etc. located. They arrived at 7:30 and were done a little after 2:00. All done in one day. I would recommend Rebath to anyone. Yes, they are pricey but the job is done right with good quality material and the finish product is just beautiful. They were not much higher than another estimate from another concern.
Description of Work: A one job done. They removed our old tub, surrounding tile, replaced a rotten sub floor they didn't know about, installed the shower floor and surrounding walls and shower head as well as a hand held shower. We also had a window in the shower which was replaced with a new vinyl, safety glass window with opaque glass. We are thrilled with it.

We would not have known they were really coming on the date they THOUGHT they would be here if WE HAD NOT CALLED the office a few days before they were to start. We did not get a confirmation call. The bathroom looks OK - the job is well done. We will see how it holds up. We feel we could have (not should have) gotten more from another company for the money we spent. Once again the installer was the best part of this job....a very hard worker and very professional. But it was his last job for this company.
Description of Work: This was a complete remodel of a small bathroom. The size of the room did not change. The installer was EXCELLENT but it was his last job with this company. The man who sold us the job never came back to see how things were going and did not check in with us after the job was completed. The owner did come to see the job the first day for a few minutes (It was a 5 day job) and he seemed very indifferent. We spent a huge amount of money with this company but it doesn't seem that it was appreciated. We did not get a price broken down as to how much each item was costing us -- just a total price. We just trusted the salesman because we thought he was doing the best for us. BE SURE TO GET COMPETING ESTIMATES FROM OTHER COMPANIES - we did not As to the professionalism above - The installer is rated A The company is rated a C

NOW I HAVE A WHITE TRASH BATHROOM, KITCHEN, AND LIVING ROOM THANKS TO DAMAGE DONE BY REBATH. TOTAL NIGHTMARE! DO NOT HIRE REBATH... YOU WILL REGRET IT! I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THEY HAVE DONE DAMAGE TO THEIR HOME. REBATH REFUSED TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DAMAGE THEY DID AND THE DAMAGE DONE BY THEIR ELECTRICIAN. Check them out on the web (google) to see all the complaints against REBATH
Description of Work: I met with Ron, a salesman from Rebath on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 6 pm in my home. AFter his sales pitch, I picked out the bath tub, tub surround, tub/shower fixtures, ROUND toilet, and wainscot for lowers wall and trim. I was informed I would receive a 10% discount if I made a down payment that night and that work would begin in 6 weeks. I put down, in good faith half of the estimate. I was promised I would NOT be without a functioning toilet at any time during the remodel and promised all work would be completed within 3 consecutive days. 1. Work was promised to start in 6 weeks. They didn't start for 2 days shy of 10 weeks!2. I did NOT get a round toilet. The one I picked out and paid for was damaged by installer. He took it upon himself to pick out an oval one much taller and larger than what I had chosen.3. I never did receive the 10% discount I was promised.4. I was without a functioning toilet for 3 days, and without a shower for 5 days which covered a weekend!5. All work was guaranteed to be completed within 3 consecutive days, whereas it took FIVE! On August 17, 2011 Rebath finally came to install my dream bathroom (or so I thought!) The problems I found I reported to Rebath via emails to Stephanie who assured me everything would be taken care of. Which, they were not! 1. Upon completion, I had 4 rooms without electricity2. The bathroom light/fan/night light ceiling fixture did not work properly. The light and fan were connected to the same switch, the night light was not connected to anything--the electric wire just hanging.3. I did NOT receive the paperwork/warranties from the items I purchased (sink, vanity, mirrored medicine cabinet, and toilet topper)4. The linoleum was cut too short and did not reach the wall and leaving a 1/4 inch gap.5. The trim on the wainscot was cut to short leaving a 2" gap between the end and the medicine cabinet. To cover their mistake, they placed an ugly piece of wood-looking styrofoam in its place!6. The same piece of too short trim has a gouge in it.7. The "clear caulk" has already turned yellowed! When I received the final bill, I emailed Rebath and informed them I would pay in full as soon as they fixed the problems. Rebath hired an electrician from SCHWARTZ ELECTRIC (another company to stay away from) to fix the electrical problems, it they 'really' existed and due to Rebath's mistake. The electrician came out on August 25. He stated in a letter that they did indeed find a neutral wire was not making connection back to the panel. THAT IS BECAUSE REBATH CUT IT THEN COVERED AN OUTLET. Electrician could not find any connection with the work done in bathroom to my problem. HE DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO TURN ON THE LIGHT! He admitted to breaking apart a switch plate cover and leaving the pieces on the floor in the basement. He admitted he chipped the paint off a blank cover on my ceiling and pried it open, leaving the mess on the table. This ceiling plate has been covered for 25 years! He admitted to entering my attic. How he totally missed that the light/fan/night light switch in the bathroom did not work properly amazes me as he is supposedly a trained electrician. THE SCHWARTZ ELECTRICIAN CAUSED NUMEROUS DAMAGE TO MY HOME by breaking apart light switch plates, breaking apart outlet covers, removing painted ceiling cover, DAMAGED CEILING IN KITCHEN AND LIVING ROOM WHEN IN THE ATTIC. The ceiling in my living room and kitchen have sunken and cracked where he stepped. Because SCHWARTZ ELECTRIC is totally incompetent, I called Fox Electric in Peoria, IL Matt from Fox Electric came to my home on Friday, September 2. He found and repaired the following damage done by Rebath: 1. Bath fan has 3 circuits, two (fan and light) of which were connected to one switch, the other (night light) not connected at all. REPAIRED SO ALL THREE ARE CONNECTED TO THEIR OWN SWITCH2. Found bath fan was installed incorrectly, was not properly braced to support unit, but held up by drywall and one screw. Bracing between rafters is required. aLSO FOUND THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS WERE MADE OUTSIDE OF JUNCTION BOX AND JUNCTION BOX COVER WAS PINCHING THE WIRING. This was a potential fire hazard! REPAIRED - FAN WAS SECURED PROPERLY, WIRERS NO LONGER PINCHING BY METAL COVER.3. Found other two switch circuits that were cut!4. Found medicine cabinet light was installed against code and back plate for fixture was missing! REWIRED medicine cabinet LIGHT, ADDED BACK PLATE.5. When vanity was removed, found circuit for kitchen light and other cut and taped into the wall. Found hot lead cut and taped in wall as well.6. Found all circuits in junction box were cut and left in wall, when electrical junction receptacle to the right of sink was removed to cover with wainscot... totally not code, but done by Rebath anyway. THANK YOU FOX ELECTRIC for coming to my rescue!
