First I will say I read several reviews both for this company and for one of their major competitors. Then I called both companies and discussed how they perform the work, and I got quotes from both. I needed my dryer vent line cleaned out and I wanted to make sure it was done using the best method possible. I didn't want the line to be a little better than it was. Let's face it, who wants to spend money cleaning a vent line, but if you need to do it, get it done correctly so that ALL the lint is gone, not just some of it! I spoke with Vito over the phone. He explained the process that Air Ducts Done Right uses. They use an extremely high power air compressor that stays in the truck. It has a rotating chimney brush attached to the end. (Here think of Dick Van **** in Mary Poppins) The brush was inserted from the outside of the house and feed through the vent line all the way to the dryer. You can hear it moving in the wall, so you know exactly where it is. The tool made all the turns in the line. They ran the brush through several times. You could see the chunks of lint flying out the exit. There was no way that tool was going to miss any clump of lint. I am happy with the choice of this company and the product they used on my dryer vent line. The other company said they would use a snake whipping tool to clean as much of the line as they could and then check CFM for airflow. They did not have a compressor, a chimney sweeping tool or a way to clean the turns. I wanted a full clean out, not a partial. A chimney sweeping tool is the way to go to get that line clean. I paid more than I would have if I went with the other company, but I am sure that line is as clean as it can be. The other company was $135. I paid Air Ducts Done Right $180.50 From the time Jake and his partner pulled up at my house to the time they drove away was 20 minutes. It was quick. I think the higher cost is associated with good quality tools. Thanks guys.

I called Angie's List for a list of dryer vent cleaners and was provided this company. They came out immediately after I spoke with them about the service, about 15-20 minutes after my Angie's List call. They were very professional, knowledgeable, fast, and efficient. It took them 35 minutes to climb up on my roof and completely clean out my dryer vents. I plan on using them again annually. They have me on an annual schedule to clean out my vents.

The service was prompt (7:30 on the mark!) and duct cleaning was done well. They thoroughly cleaned all the ducts. The house smelled very clean afterwards. For the time of the request, they were able to immediately come out to the home. However, some areas of improvement is in their process of cleaning /setup. Vents in the basement were open and significant dust fell on the floor... I think they can notify the customer of the dust left or preferably clean it up. They also had to remove a basement window to bring in the vacuum hose (which is fine), but when they did not put it back right it caused cold air to enter the basement. I think these little, but somewhat impactful details is what differentiates a good company from a great company. And Im sure these are areas they can improve on.

They removed about 50 pounds of debris from inside the air ducts.

The cleaning of the air ducts was fine (swift and professional), except once they had finished, I had to remind the guys several times to fill in the hole they cut out in the vent in the basement. They also left metal shavings (and a few other metal scraps) on the basement floor which could have resulted in problems had my cats eaten the metal shavings. They also did not follow all steps when cleaning the dryer vent (e.g., they did not turn it on after cleaning). I checked the outside vent and it was not cleaned completely (e.g., still lots of dryer lint wedged on / between the vent flaps) and the hose on the back of the dryer was not re-connected so the room got extremely hot when I first tried to use the dryer. I called them back out to re-clean and install back properly - they did come back out about 5-6 days later and were very responsive re: having to re-do the dryer cleaning / re-connection.

I moved into this house relatively recently, and had no idea if the dryer vent had ever been cleaned by the previous owner. My HOA recommended this company, and they are very familiar with the layout of the townhomes. The technicians Josh and Jake arrived right on time and had the hoses out and the process started in no time flat. They knew what they were doing, let me watch and ask questions, and tidied up after themselves. It was very painless! Everyone from the owner and the office manager to the techs were great to work with.

They were good. I did shop around and it seemed very fair. They did a great job. They are great is about as much as I can say. They came in and did their job and they left. No surprises so that's always good.

With an "A" rating, I had high confidence that there would be no issues. Unfortunately, I need to report that I was cancelled/ re-scheduled twice for "other bigger jobs", and at the 3rd re-schedule, no one showed up, and no one called. In talking with the office assistant to find out why, she said the guys were at "another big job". Not a good way to build a business. I am not re-scheduling a 4th time.

They did a great job. They were knowledgeable and professional. They were clean.

They were efficient, they came in they did what they were suppose to do I think.

They did a wonderful job. They are a great company to deal with. The owner is available for questions and once even came out himself when the rest of his crew was busy. The staff was very nice. Everybody was great. I really like this company a lot. The price was definitely competitive. It was consistent with other estimates we got.

For air duct I did use a company called Air Duct Done Right. They were very good and they were on time. They got the job done. I would give them an 'A' across the board. They did a great job. They came the next day when I called them and they were able to get it done. I think that they were prompt and they did everything. They were very professional and explained things. I thought that they did a good job, very neat. They were honest because they told me that I didn't need to have it done for 7 years. I would grade them all 'A's for them.

I firmly believe you get what you pay for, so I use this company because they do an excellent job. I have been using them for over 10 years because the first time they cleaned the vents, our family immediately experienced a huge improvement in our allergy and asthma symptoms.

First of all, I have become displeased with the evolution of Angie's list. What was formerly a great community referral system has become a groupon tank. These coupon deals are a recipe for misunderstanding. They deny the service provider much needed compensation and disguise the true value of the work performed. I have seen this with other services through Angie's List. I am delighted to pay a fair price for good work, and I always fear that a "deal" will tempt the service provider to cut back in some way that I cannot see. I wanna be fair, and I want it done right. For these reasons, I tell these companies to FORGET the Angie's List coupons and promotional offers. Let's just do the job right. Long before my successful visit from Air Ducts Done Right, I had another company come in and do a clean. Like the other reviewers report, we quickly discarded promotional offers, and talked about doing the ducts in my small home. Ever since the torrential rains of early Y2013, I had an emerging mustiness coming from my ducts. This first company (which I will not name) made a lot of noise and pulled an impressive pile of dirt from my ventilation system. The technician claimed that any residual odor I had was due to duct suction leakage from the crawlspace. That didn't add up. I had personally sealed every suspect corner of that ductwork with expensive foil tape. A massive job. In one (1) day, that dreadful odor was back. I did not call them to "come back and do it right" for several reasons, which I will not go into. I then proceeded to install a massive moisture barrier in the crawlspace, using thick plastic sheeting. The damp ambiance in the crawlspace went away fast. In fact, it smelled pretty good down there. But the duct work was still kicking out something very different and very bad. For the following two months, I shopped for a company that had the following capabilities: 1) Talk to me about the problem. 2) Be able to thoroughly clean the ducts, and 3) Have the expertise to replace/repair duct work if we had to do surgery on the system. Vito was great, and very patient in the setup, answering all my pesky questions. His company, ?Air Ducts Done Right", was the right choice. Upon arrival, they properly cut open strategic points in the duct work to properly assess the situation and attach the equipment. Tons of dirt, un-removed on the previous company's visit, was clearly visible. In one photo, it looks like construction debris piled up in the duct. We concluded that the previous guy broke up much of it, making it ready for removal with more thorough methods. In all, they removed about 3X the dirt removed by the other company just 2 months prior. And the visit had that just-right mix of courtesy and professionalism. I also asked for the high-tech chemical clean. I had to vacate the house for 2 hours after the job with that option, but I couldn?t take any chances at this point. Your old vents probably look like cashmere sweaters in the inside. Call "Ducts Done Right" and get the job done right. If Vito doesn't work there, hang up and call the right number. Depending on the season, they might have a discount coupon of their own to offer you, but it won?t be a mysterious ?50% off? discount, leaving you to wonder what is getting left behind.

This company advertises in our local newsmagazine and since I like to do business with local firms I checked them out on Angie's List where they're rated A so I decided to go with them. I spoke with Vito (the owner) by phone. He fully explained what would be done to clean out the dryer vent and what the cost would be. We made an appointment and he and Dave came on time and went right to work with the vacuum, working from the outside of the house. They were speedy, thorough and left no mess. I asked to see the lint they collected in the machine and was amazed at the amount. I knew there was lint packed inside the dryer itself and asked Vito about cleaning it out, but he doesn't do that work and gave me the name of an appliance repairman who does. I was totally satisfied with the job Air Ducts Done Right did and would recommend the company to anyone wanting air ducts cleaned.

I researched this company and they looked great so we ended up going with them. Both employees that showed up were very detail oriented and worked very quickly and efficiently. They explained the whole process to me and how they were going to get the work done right. They also explained how they did things compaired to other companies that were not as thorough. They were very professional and went the extra mile with their work. They took some before and after pictures of the vents and ducts to show us, which was great. I thought there would be a lot of dirt when they were doing the service, but I could not see any visible dust. The mess was very contained and did not move throughout the house. They had a very clean method. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

They did good job except when they finished cleaning I found out they missed one vent. The cleaning was done manually and spread a lot of dust in the house. A few days later I found out the folding door by the furnace was damaged by the crew. I called several times the owner to get it fixed. It was promised me by the owner they will fix the door. It never happened. Still waiting.

Prior to having our air ducts cleaned we had an environmental hygienist to our home to do an inspection. The recommendation was to get the HVAC systems cleaned. We scheduled our cleaning with Air Ducts Done Right because they were recommended from a personal friend which was further supported by the recommendations on Angies List so we felt good about our decision. The cost was worth every penny, we have two small children who prior to the cleaning were showing signs of upper respiratory illness. We had just moved into the house a month earlier and no one exhibited signs of allergies so we knew something was going one, hence the environmental hygienists evaluation. None the less, Vito's crew showed up on time and were very thorough. He explained everything in detail and we allowed them in our home, alone, while we went to work. The job did not go as planned for them while we were away. There was a slight mishap that we were informed of immediately. Overall, I must say that if every business owner worked with the same moral ethical value and integrity as Vito Mascato does then there would not be a need for Angies List. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. The unintended mishap was addressed immediately, the house was left impeccably and most importantly the air quality in our home was noticeable and significantly improved when we came home that day from work. Not to mention, I no longer have to dust my house every day. It is absolutely incredible the impact a proper ventilation cleaning has on air quality and dust. As a working mother of two, I certainly appreciate my time and especially when I don't have to do house work. In the end, I would highly recommend Vito and his crew. They are reliable, honest (maybe not the least expensive but you get what you pay for) hardest workers in the service industry. I appreciate their work and will definitely use them again for another cleaning when its time.

I called three companies that cleaned dryer vents. I went with them because they were able to answer some detailed questions. The two men who came called to let me know they would be there in 15 minutes. They were prompt and went right to work. A lot of lint and dust came out and the clothes dry a lot faster now.

Clothes dryer was not drying correctly............checked on Angie's List for dryer vent cleaning.............called Air Ducts Done Right Inc. and set up an appointment......3 men came out.............and did the job............very courteous and explained what they would be doing......... The dryer works fine now........

We live in 40+ yr ranch old home in Woodridge with vents in the slab. I knew they were probably dirty but we had a heating problem and when the technician fixed the blower and turned the heater back on without the filter in it, all kinds of stuff came out of the vents. I contacted Air Ducts Done Rights and scheduled the vent cleaning. It was $500 for the vents and $100 for the dryer vent. They came out and explained everything they would do and it was quite a process. The 3 man crew was here for about 4 hours and you could hear all kinds of noise when they were sucking the stuff out. They blocked the vents and then hooked up their vacuum and cleaned each one. We had a bunch of white powder that came out and we could not figure out what that was but now I think it was baking soda, The prior owner had a dog and I think she had a box in the venting somewhere. These guys are totally professional and did a great job. The dryer vent is cleaned from the outside so you don't have to move the dryer to get that done. I apologize for not remembering the name of the guy who was here but he said we could go about 5 years before needed again. Just like they said, it has cut down on dust, my allergies are better and I don't even want to imagine what else was in those vents after all these years. I know we had ant bodies in there from an invasion last summer so they are gone too. If you are going to get the done make sure you check out the companies and their process. They have a whip that goes through the vents and loosens all the dirt, not just a big vacuum. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company.
