Budget Blinds of Crystal Lake

Not happy at all with a less than a minute contact with a service person due to a problem with the huge patio door covering I purchased from them. $125.00 for less than a minute's work must bring this company a lot of income. Definitely not "budget Friendly or customer centered". Try elsewhere. They probably ripped me off when I bought the blinds. I cannot recommend this company at all.

Tech (Tim) gets a 5 start but first: Company had to order new blind not just the pull. Item arrived quickly. Disappointed that the blind was covered under lifetime warrante but office person insisted I had to pay (what I considered) very high service call. Even tho I've used them for other services. The tech that came out, Tim, was excellent. He was on time, friendly, knowledgeable and did a little extra "tweaking" of the blind to ensure that it worked smoothly and was aligned with the other blind. He did a great job, and because of him I'd work with Budget blinds again - despite what I feel was too high of a service call charge for a blind that has a lifetime guarantee.

We moved into a house with no window treatments. Using Angies List, I contacted Budget Blinds of Crystal Lake, and left a message. The owner, Chris, returned my call shortly. He was able to schedule an in-home appointment within a few days. When he arrived, he was very professional and courteous, and explained the options available based on my needs. He described how the products worked and made helpful suggestions. He must have placed the order immediately, because the blinds were available within ten days. We had our room darkening blinds delivered and installed within two weeks. The quality of the blinds and the convenience of professional installation was certainly worth the cost for 5 large windows and 5 smaller windows.

I was referred to this company by the company that I bought my windows from. Christ (the owner - pronounced "Chris") was wonderful to work with. My windows were installed on Dec 8, and Christ came out the very next day to take measurements and help me determine the type of blinds. He has a lot of different swatches and samples, and he encourages you to look at them in every light in order to make sure they are exactly what you want. We were able to find a wood blind that almost exactly matched the trim on our new windows. In total I ordered 10 wooden blinds, 3 honeycomb, and 1 aluminum blind. We ordered them on the 9th, and we had hopes of getting them before Christmas, but were not sure if it was possible. Imagine our delight when Christ called on the 22 and said that all the wood & aluminum blinds were in!! He came out on the 23rd and had them all installed in quick time. He worked around the Christmas tree and everything! The remainder for the blinds came in the next week, and he was able to install them on the 29th. So, we were able to ring in the New Year with beautiful window treatments! Everyone who sees them thinks they are very lovely. Christ is a very busy man, as he pretty much runs this business singlehandedly. So, if you call and get his answering service (always a live person - never a recording!) Just leave a message with them, and he will call you back in swift time. I would highly recommend this business to anyone.
