One of our garage door springs broke stranding my wife in the garage. Frank was very responsive, arrived on time, did the work for a reasonable price and was cordial and friendly. Would definitely recommend him to anyone needing garage door repair work!

I have used the company 3 or 4 times. About 3 years ago they installed new doors. The other times were just repairs. Always a fair price and professional.

My wife and I own a home in Lake Barrington, but live in Miami. There was a problem with the garage door in Lake Barrington, and my home warranty company sent out a garage door repair company. That company said that the garage door would have to be replaced. I called Frank from Bob's Automatic Garage Door and explained that I was desperate, the door was stuck partially open. He agreed to go there the next morning (on a Saturday). Saturday morning he called me and said that he had completed the repairs and that it was a routine repair. He charged me less than $200. Frank is polite, punctual, skilled at what he does, and very fair with his prices. I would highly recommend him to anybody needing garage door repairs.

Garage door would fail to close intermittently, usually taking 2 - 5 times before closing. Called Bob's to repair garage door. Provider came and spent very little time on it, about 15 minutes, and charged $100. Problem did not improve to any significant degree and we were too busy to arrange another visit. As summer progressed it got worse to the point where it would not close at all. Called a different provider who came and fixed it on the same day for only $85, spending 30 minutes and explaining fully all the things needing to be fixed. In addition to not fixing the problem, the service provider was unpleasant and seemed unhappy to be there. Have used Bob's in the past and had good experiences but in those cases I think it was Bob himself who came to do the work. This time it was not Bob and we were not happy. If you use this company make sure you get Bob, assuming he is still there and still doing work himself.
