When my pool pump went out they were quick to respond with a solution and even guided me on what chemicals to put in the pool before the new pump was installed so it wouldn’t turn green! What could have been a big challenge or even a disaster was handled so well by them that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Great knowledge, great support, and every person I dealt with made me feel like they had my back.
Description of Work: Pool pump replacement. Pool maintenance.

They got a problem repairing it and suggested that I need to buy a new one. They gave me a better deal on the new one -probably because of the problem they had repairing the old one. Their communication was not as good as I had hoped.
Description of Work: I took a pool pump in for service to Arvidson Pools & Spas - Crystal Lake Location and ended up buying a new one.

I talked to two people and one woman told me would fax me a copy of the rate sheet. I had trouble with my fax machine so I never got it but she kept trying. I called back and the other woman just told me to go find it on the website. The second one wasn’t as helpful.

Overal it was almost as painless as it gets.
Description of Work: The two-man crew came to open our pool on the date scheduled. They were efficient and professional. They performed all the tasks I had contracted them to, including shocking the pool. I was instructed to add 32 oz. of algaecide the next day, as it would be more effective after the shock had a day to work. When I could not find the bottle of algaecide they had supposedly left, I called and they said they would give me a bottle the next time I came into the store. They had no hesitation giving me a bottle of algaecide as promised, but the only inconvenience was that I had to make a trip to their store.

We use them as needed. We've used them for six or seven years. They are relatively close and they are very professional. Their rates are pretty reasonable.
Description of Work: We used Arvidson Pool & Spas to open our pool. We also buy our chemicals there. I take my water in to them for testing. They open and close our pool.

Excellent.
Description of Work: The women in the parts department was awesome. Three times I went in with questions or needed a part and she went above and beyond. She stopped he lunch break to help. We will go back to Crystal Lake Again service and advice was realiable.

THEY SAID I WAS A LITTLE FAR, BUT THEY WOULD SCHEDULE IT IN THE NEXT TWO OR THREE WEEKS. SHE WOULD CALL WHEN SHE HAD IT SCHEDULED. AFTER 4 OR 5 DAYS NOT HEARING FROM ANYONE, I CALLED THEM AND I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NOT COME TO HINSDALE. IN SHORT I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD CALL ME BACK SEVERAL TIMES, BUT NEVER DID AND A LOT OF MY TIME WAS WASTED.

THE SPA I PURCHASED REQUIRED A DIFFICULT INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL OF AN OLD SPA. DESPITE THE UNANTICIPATED DIFFICULTIES AND EXTRA TIME AND MANPOWER REQUIRED, ARVIDSONS HONORED THEIR ORIGINAL PRICE. THE SALESMAN WE WORKED WITH AT THEIR PALATINE STORE, (DON SCHULTZ), WAS GREAT. HE CAME OUT TO INSPECT THE SITE PRIOR TO INSTALLATION AND WAS PRESENT DURING THE INSTALLATION AS WELL.
