He was an arborist & explained things about my tree to me & when I asked taught me how to prune low branches so I wouldn't kill the branch so I could do other trees I had myself. All dead branches were taken off, although I think there may be one left very high up but its possible the ends of that branch are still alive & thats why he left it. I had to leave while he was working or I'm sure he would have told me why that branch was left when I pointed it out. He was also nice enough to leave me a storage bin of mulch from grinding up my dead branches. The yard was cleaned up very well & no damage to lawn or other landscaping. Betweeen the little branches & twigs I picked up from the lawn the the lawn mower probably would have chopped up & the bigger branches I pulled out of the hedges & busted up to fit in the garbage can I got about a 1/4 garbage can full. The trimming was up to 9' so the tree looks well groomed now. The price seemed a little high to me which is why I chose good instead of excellent but I did not shop around so this may be the average price. I chose 4 Seasons from Angie's list because of great reviews & to save time of shopping around. The tree is probably 60 years old so very tall & bushy, lots to do. I was very satisfied & when I can afford more tree work done I'll call 4 Seasons again to take out a tree I have in the back yard. I did not put any pictures on because its hard to see individual branches in the middle of a tree in pictures.

From start to finish, we could not have been more pleased with 4 Seasons Arbor Service--100% satisfied! We had a large Crab Apple tree in our front yard that needed to be removed because it was dying and had cracked in the middle of the trunk. Ed came out to give us an estimate on the same day that we called him. We accepted his price and scheduled the work for later that week. He came back as scheduled and the tree came down quickly. All debris was removed from the property and he did an excellent job of cleaning everything up. He came back the next day as promised to grind out the stump and did an excellent job of cleaning up again. We considered the price we paid to be very fair for the job and the quality of the work performed and we would absolutely use 4 Seasons Arbor Service again.

It has not gone well - I prepaid to receive a 5% saving for fertilization and treatment. This was not a good idea on my part. I have had to email him to ask if he would be treating my lawn several times; so far I have received 1 treatment. I have received several messages saying he would be coming but, they have been unreliable. I don't have time to consistently ask 4 Seasons Arbor Service to provide the services that they were paid to do. So, if you are like me and don't have time to micromanage this company you might want to keep looking.

Ed and his team were very prompt and responsive to our requests for multiple estimates and provided us great advice in regards to proper steps to take to remove or trim tree. He advised us removing the tree now was the safest and smartest thing to do in regards to safety and avoid spending extra money in the future to eventually remove it. Would and will hire again.

Ken came out promptly to make an estimate and arrived with a crew of about 5 or 6 on the day we scheduled for the job. The job took over 8 hours due to difficult access and landscaping that needed to be protected. They did a superb job of protecting adjacent plantings. They covered the grass with heavy plywood before driving their heavy equipment over it. After the job they cleaned everything up perfectly including getting all the trimmings off the two neighboring roofs and gutters and raking the lawn clean. Their bid was significantly lower than two other bids we received. I think they may have under bid, but they didn't mention it.

They did a good job. For price, I did get two other quotes, so it was okay. There's nothing you can mess up when pulling down a tree.

The work was done at the time and days scheduled. The debris was picked up and removed. We had 8 very mature and large maple trees trimmed and one mature maple removed. We were consulted on every part of the work. We are very pleased with the results.

They showed up as soon as the weather broke this spring. Grass greened up quickly, weeds present died fast and no more have returned.

They were professional and prompt. They were responsive even though they didn't make it out when we originally planned. They came out the following Monday for the estimate. They seemed to be fairly price.

They did a good job were very quick . I thought they were reasonably priced and I am having them come back and trim a much larger tree.

Beautiful job! There was so much buckthorn in the tree line of my backyard, and Ed did a fabulous job removing it. He also knows his trees and plants well and what to keep. And he cleaned up the worksite well after it was done.

It went excellent. They did a superb job. It was 10 ft. from the back of my house.

Our magnolia tree had something wrong with it and we wanted to save it. They applied a treatment to the tree which they will follow up with in spring of 2016. Last week they came back and trimmed the dead and diseased portions of the magnolia tree and trimmed our other front bushes. All the trimming were cleaned and hauled away.

Did a very quick job, Came out during off season to meet village requirements and timeline. Cleaned up site and trimmed all trees included in removal price.

This company was quick to respond for an estimate and the price was very reasonable. The insecticide is suppose to last 2 years and hopefully it works.

The whole process took quite a while, but that's understandable given the time of year. Upon moving to our house it was obvious that one tree was overgrown and potentially hazardous to the structure. We called on Four Seasons to come out and complete an estimate of work and offer a general assessment on the health of our trees. Ed came out and genuinely seemed passionate about trees...not just cutting them down. He gave us a few different options - one of which was a bit beyond the scope of work we were looking to take on. We agreed on the estimate and statement of work, then we went to schedule.Given that trimming trees is a bit dependent on the weather, it proved a bit difficult, but the communication was good until we finally were able to make it happen (worth stating that I had to cancel once as well last minute and they were very understanding). Day of the trimming Ed came out with a crew of 2 other guys. They quickly knocked it out and cleaned up the work area. I'd definitely use them again if/when the need arises.

It was actually great. It is already late in the season, I won't know until next year if the tree actually gets better. They were fine as far as I could see. The thing that I liked was that they were very prompt, they responded right away, and they came out right away. On the website for 4 Seasons the people on the reviews mentioned Ed. He was the person that came out. He was very knowledgeable and they treated the tree right away. I can't tell now. Obviously I won't know until next year or 2 years if it looks any better, but we will see. I have no complaints now. The pricing was excellent because I have gotten much higher quotes from Scotts, the people that I actually use to take care of my lawn. They just told me they were going to come out, they didn't give me a time, but it was fine with me. They would just come out and do the work. I didn't have to be home so it's not like I had to make an appointment for that.

He is very good overall. He came and gave me an estimate of what he was going to do and he billed me. I did not have to pay him the day he came. If I am not there, he just does the job and leaves me a bill, and I would just write a check. He had good people who work for him and he does an excellent job. He does not come up with extra charges and cleans up well after himself.

They were very professional in every way. Dan Krug met with my husband and gave him an estimate of the work to be done. My husband was very impressed with his professionalism. They scheduled a time to come and do the work and were prompt and efficient. They removed two trees, their stumps and all of the debris. We would definitely recommend them and use their services again.

They were very good, reasonable, professional, and I would use them again in a heartbeat. They came out when they said they would, and they were here promptly before they said they would be. They started to work right away.

This is one outstanding professional company. Ed was very professional and knowledgable. He was flexible and easy to work with. His staff was great. The way he spoke to his staff, I knew I had chosing the right company. He treated them with the upmost respect. His price was good. His office stayed in touch with me. The job was completed on time. His staff cleaned up afterwards. I have nothing but praise for 4 Season Arbor Service of Crestwood, IL. They would be the first company I would call if I have a need for their services. I called in summer to have a tree on side of our house removed and was told they would come out about 2 months from call. They set up times, did not show, rescheduled and after a few other missed dates finally showed up and cut down the tree. The owner apologized and was friendly but he is super disorganized. Then they told me the ash borer infected my other trees and they could spray for them but not till next year. OK - in May I pull into my driveway and they had just finished spraying...my issue is they did not call to tell me they were coming - what if I had moved or something? It was about 8 months later and I thought pretty unprofessional to not give a heads up. Also, the man who sprayed did not bother to tell me to water the trees afterward, and when I opened the invoice over weekend saw that in instructions. I found that to be very lazy on his part as I arrived home when we had finished but had not left yet.
