Handyman Express

WHEN YOU NEED A PLUMBER, CALL A PLUMBER! Joe Torino is a talented handyman with a superior ability to work in all dimensions; he is quick, has a can-do attitude, and much of the time he can do it. BUT, this time he bombed. He brought in a cheap kitchen faucet to replace our old rusted-out one. Perhaps unbeknown to Joe, the supposedly new faucet was already cracked and the under-sink hose line damaged. At first, the new faucet seemed to be working fine, but soon sprang leaks both at the sink and under it. Floods of water everywhere! Being underwhelmed with the economical faucet Joe had provided, I ordered a heavy-duty product on-line and had it two-day shipped, in time for Joe's appointment to replace the damaged floor under the sink. Joe never showed or called, so he never knew about the leaks but should have remembered the rotted state of the under-sink woodwork. When my new faucet arrived, I called a licensed plumber to install it and it has worked perfectly ever since. Moreover, the plumber charged a reasonable fee, no more than a handyman but, of course, limited to that single task. Joe, with his obvious talent, should, in my opinion, make himself more knowledgeable along with his native ability. I will only call him for minor touch-up jobs from now on.
