Downing Roofing did an outstanding job on our roof replacement. When spending a lot of money on a roofing project, we needed to have complete confidence in the company we used to be certain that the job would be done ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. Matt is extremely knowledgeable, and was very helpful in all aspects of the project planning. He is passionate about what he does. The owner Trey is a no-nonsense guy who does exactly what he says he will do, a true man of his word. He does not cut corners, and will make sure that everything is done to perfection. The job is not done until Trey is happy with it, and Trey is not happy until the customer is happy. Finding a reliable, trustworthy roofing company is very difficult—there are lots of bad companies out there! Unfortunately, the mistakes other companies make may not become apparent for years, and by that time the company is long gone. Downing Roofing is a local company, and Trey and Matt are longtime residents of the St Louis area. Downing will be around for the long haul, and I am certain that the roof they put on our home will last for many years and serve us well.

I recently had a complete tear-off and replacement of my flat roof by Downing Roofing. The job was more complicated and laborious than most since I had six layers of asphalt and bitumen that needed to be removed all the way down to the roof deck. Downing replaced the old roof with white TPO. I also had new flashing, fascia, gutters, and downspouts installed. The VP of Residential Sales, Matt, was communicative beyond measure. No issue was too minor for him to resolve. And if ever there were a complication, he would present me with the options and data I needed to make an informed choice. Matt took plenty of photos of the job from multiple angles, so that I could inspect the work safely from the ground. His conscientiousness really made me feel like a valued customer, and that goes a long way in my view. The crew were very friendly and hardworking. They arrived on time and took breaks in shifts so that there was always at least a couple of guys actively on the job. In fact, my roof was finished a whole day sooner than the original estimate. I am very happy with the finished result. Between the craftsmanship, the work ethic, and the customer service, I would heartily recommend Downing Roofing to friends and family.
