The contractor came over and measured countertops once to place the order and also when the template came in, in order to ensure measurements were correct. There was an angle in the wall the between kitchen and foyer, (countertop would be affected by this angle) and it was measured perfectly. What started out to be just a countertop change out expanded to changing out the floor and installing the backsplash as well as painting and trimming out 1/2 bath and replacing dry-rotted trim. This was at our request. The job went very well. They were very professional and were conscientious about cleaning up after themselves. They were quick to point out issues, (floor and cabinet issues mentioned above). They were easy to reach and were willing to work around work schedules, etc. They worked fairly quickly and did a beautiful job. They also exercised care to provide a beautiful finished project
Description of Work: :Tore out Linoleum and replaced with porcelain tile in Kitchen, Foyer and 1/2 bath. Tore out and replaced baseboard in same areas, painted and installed wainscoting in 1/2 bath (also new vanity and light fixture). Changed out countertops (laminate/formica) to quartz. Installed Glass mosaic tile backsplash. While working on putting together the quote, it was determined that the floor was sagging by the load bearing wall between kitchen/Foyer area. It was recommended to fix this issue and level the floor rather than floating the mortar to create a level surface in order to prevent tile cracking from further sagging. Also during the tear off of the Countertops, it was discovered that there was no support for the backing of the peninsula, and a cheap beadboard paneling was used rather than a sheet of matching wood from the cabinet company. Ray DeLach reinforced the existing support and located and installed something that more closely matched the cabinet finish. He also re-shimmed and corrected the door frame to the 1/2 bath - it was improperly installed by the builder. It took a little longer than expected due to all the hidden problems that were there from the builder, but I now have a beautiful new kitchen, foyer and 1/2 bath thanks to Ray DeLach.
