He also gave other suggestions that would be beneficial in dealing with standing water in yard. He arrived at the time he said he would to complete my request. Description of Work: Derek came out to our house to look over the brick foundation and exterior. He was very professional in informing us about our home. He told us where there were areas of concern but it was something that we could do for ourselves. That was a pleasant thing to hear. We then asked him about an estimated cost of pointing our exterior brick. He gave us a price and it was in the range that we it would be.

Description of Work: Benson Masonry came out to look at a possible chimney tuckpointing job. Since I've been having problems with a leaky basement causing limited flooding, a basement specialist from Family Solutions, said he thought the problem was a tuckpointing issue,not leaking walls or floor. So, when I called Benson, I assumed I was in line for a tuckpointing job. Wrong. Derek from Benson took a look and said the problem was not with the tuckpointing, but one of sinking ground around the foundation. He made several suggestions, and saved me the cost of home repair. He could have easily said he needed to tuckpoint part or all of the chimney. He didn't. An honest man. Thank you, Benson Masonry.

+ -1 moreOur home is 100 years old and has a lot of brick work, including a front entrance that is done with paving bricks. We had mortar crumbling and an area where the brick entrance had settled. Derek tore out the settled area and relaid it. He had done several other homes in our area so I was able to check references before we committed to the work. He was very quick on the estimate and was on the job within 24 hours. Had the entire job done within 2 days. Very pleased with his work.
Description of Work: Repaired brick wall and entrance way. Raised an area that had settled and tuck pointed the exterior entrance area and steps. Also repaired and tuck pointed a brick wall beside the entrance way.
