PLS Remodeling

PLS did an amazing job at my home. I needed a lot of work done: handyman services, painting my entire house, remodeling my kitchen, and bathroom. Sam was very respectful and gave me the best price out of the other bids I got. The painting and colors were perfect, I love it! Sam put in a new countertops, cabinets, and backsplash in the kitchen. It looks amazing! He did a lot of the electrical work and plumbing too. Bathroom now has a new tub and sink. I am so Happy with the outcome. I would definitely refer Sam to my friends and family.

Sam by far the best contractor I ever hired! He is honest and hard working, I recommend him to anyone who needs the job done on time. I plan to hire him again!!

Sam does beautiful work! We own an older home, which presents many challenges, but Sam’s knowledge and craftsmanship solved each problem -and he even kept the cost down! He transformed our bathroom, it’s stunning! Sam was so amazing, he offered constant advice on projects I was completing on my own. He even took the time to find an electrician for our basement sump pump, and helped me negotiate a lower price for the company putting drain pipe in the basement. I highly recommend Sam. He does amazing work, is very reasonable, and trustworthy!

Sam was punctual, stayed on task, completed the service a few days earlier than anticipated. Sam gave decorating ideas, which helped us make informed decisions of the remodeling. Sam was upfront on the cost of the job, which helped us with our budgeting for the project. Communication is key in building relationships. We are very pleased with the results. A job well done. No doubt, we will be calling Sam with other projects in the future.

Called on Tuesday, 3:20 on 4/18/2017 Sam was driving and could not provide a date for estimate so I gave him my earliest availability for Friday, April 21st between 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. No Show - received no follow-up call to inform me that he would not make appointment I will chalk this up to being too busy.

Excellent. Was very happy. They were neat and did a wonderful job.

We contacted this company via Angie's List directly. An appointment was scheduled for an estimate. They simply didn't show up. No phone call or email, nothing. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Very unprofessional to schedule a meeting and simply not show up.

After the initial appointment where he came out to measure and get plans he was supposed to email me a quote.The quote never ever arrived. I left numerous messages on Angies list and also on his own web site email address.The messages all went unanswered ( there were 4 of them). How can you trust a contractor that cannot even reply to his messages or give the estimate that he came out to give? I feel he wasted my valuable time for nothing. He also wasted his own time coming here and not completing the quote. I would be very Leary on using this guy or company for your work . He is not dependable at all in my personal opinion from my dealings with him. With that said I rated his company as a Fail on everything but price and quality because I have no idea on these items they never were available to me.

Sam was great. I got on the schedule quick. It took 2+ days to complete which was half the time others were offering. After removing the tub, there was some repair work to the floor that was needed, which he did. It has been 6 weeks, and the new tub is holding up nicely.

We recently purchased this home and unfortunately the kitchen cabinets were built around the early 1990's appliances. Long story short, even after measuring twice, the new appliances didn't fit as well as we had thought they would. Enter Sam with PLS Remodeling. I came on here and saw how highly rated and recommended Sam came. I reached out, and within a day he came out and gave us an estimate and went over some options. Later that week, our fridge was delivered and Sam came back and custom made faux cabinets for us out of the paneling from the old built in fridge. He custom cut the double in-wall cabinet as well to make that fit. Our kitchen is finally done and we could not have done it without Sam. -Jake McConnell

Sam is one of the best contractors we ever hired. He is very knowledgeable about framing and gave us the most competitive price among all bids we got. He completed all the work with good quality on time and cleaned up well. We bought a fix it up home at the time and ended up being our own general contractor. Among all sort of contractors we talked to and hired, Sam gave us the best experience. There is no delays, no back and forth arguing. When additional joints are discovered unstable, he gave us a very reasonable price to fix. We really appreciate the smooth process working with him during one of the most chaotic times we ever had. We're very satisfied with the results. Skim coating old walls will never look perfectly smooth - you need to rip it out and put in new drywall if you want that - but it looks wayyy better than it did before and unless I point out the odd spots nobody has noticed them. The job took a day longer than he estimated and I was in a hurry to move in so he agreed to bring in a partner one day to help (for an extra fee). I appreciated the quality of work and his flexibility to get the job done in time for me to move in. He also didn't mind me working along side him to speed the job up so I could move in on time. Good on work quality, flexibility, and character. I would recommend and plan to hire him again when I remodel my bathroom.

We needed a carpenter to put up the crown molding in our kitchen. We found PLS Remodeling on Angie's List. Sam was wonderful and the work he did was top notch. We highly recommend Sam!!

Never showed up. Twice he booked a time to come to our house to give us a quote. I changed my work schedule to ensure we would be home late in the day for his appointment. The first time - he left me a message to confirm we would be home. I called him back 45mins later to confirm yes we would be and then he didn't show up. When I did get a hold of him he said he never got my message. So I gave him another try and he did the same thing to me, only this time he just didn't show up. Bad service!

He was uncooperative and wanted to add on additional costs to purchase supplies in addition to the Big Deal pricing. He was very uncomplimentary about Angie’s List as a service, which I found extremely unprofessional. I did not end up having any work done by the provider.

Sam did a great job. We were a bit disappointed because during demolition there could have been more care taken to block off the area to prevent dust, but that stuff is pervasive, not sure he could have done much more. Also, Sam recommended we call a custom shower installer to fix our leak, as we likely need a new shower door. The drywall and paint look great. It took a bit longer to complete than we had hoped, but I think that was a result of Sam coming back a couple extra times to do the mudding, it needed more layers than originally thought. We would definitely ask him to come back to do any drywall work we would need done.

They came. We have a very uneven basement floor. We can see it even it's carpeted. We never realized just how bad it was until after the flood. They did absolutely great drywall work. It was a good price.

Sam was very responsive and worked me into schedule to view project, get me estimate and get work done quickly, as I needed. (All that done within one week.) Had couple other contractors over the years tell me this project could not be done or would be very difficult and Sam got it done. He had to create custom door casing himself because of unique issues he found in my house after opening up wall and did it beautifully. Very careful to clean up after himself and protect my house during work. Very meticulous work, kept me up to date every step of way, and I am thrilled with end result! Would highly recommend.

AFTER AGREEING ON THE WORK AND PRICE SAM CALLED THE NEXT DAY AND ASKED WHEN WE WOULD LIKE TO START.I TOLD HIM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND HIS REPLY WAS TWO DAYS.BRIGHT AND EARLY TWO DAYS LATER HIS CREW SHOWED UP WITH THREE (3) MEN AND I GOT OUT OF THERE WAY. THESE GUYS WORKED ALL DAY LIKE CRAZY! ! AND HAD IT ALL TAPED & MUDED IN ONE DAY WITH BULL NOISE ,WOW!! AFTER TWO MORE DAYS ALL WAS DONE TO PERFECTION. OVER THE YEARS MY WIFE AND I HAVE DONE MANY DIY PROJECTS AND AND HAD EVEN A HARD TIME JUST GETTING PEOPLE TO SHOW UP MORE LESS DO A PROPER JOB. SAM &PLS ARE TOP OF MY LIST AND WOULD CALL THEM AGAIN.

PLS was not the lowest bidder on the job, but something about Sam the owner made me want to give him the job. THe work was quality, although I was not exactly happy with the doors and shelving finishes. But if anyone has ever tried to stain/varnish differing woods to match, you go into the job knowing that you may not get exactly what you wanted. But he came as close as possible. Was quick clean and efficient in what he did. After my tenants moved in, of course they found (and are finding) a host of minor issues, and we are using PLS to handle them. They will be replacing 2 bathroom vanities, repairing some tile that is coming off the walls due to water damage from our previous tenants (did I mention how much I dislike them?), installing a new dishwasher, replacing a damaged door (Mostly age damage, but still....),and repairing some plumbing issues i the kitchen. Just waiting on the quote from them now.

Sam completed all work that was requested and did an excellent job. He finished the work within the time frame specified at the beginning of the engagement. Work was completed for less than originally budgeted.

I have used PLS Remodeling for all my remodeling work. I have been more than satisfied each and every time. The company's work is professional and the quality excellent. The owner Sam O'Neill and his staff are always helpful, honest and considerate. And the cleanup is top shelf. PLS has remodeled both my kitchen and bathroom over the years and the results are always the same excellent finish. I will continue to use this company for all my home projects.

Wonderful. I'm really pleased with the railing, which matches the trim in the house and really makes the front hall look classic and beautiful. We picked out the wood parts in the morning and he made a very sturdy structure. Also painted the railing. Cleaned up nicely. The closet door also looks great and operates very smoothly (bi-fold coat closet door). It was too tricky for my husband to install, as it had to fit in a tight and awkward space. Last, he made a loose cabinet repair. All of these projects had been put off for years and it was difficult to find a professional who could do them right. Finally everything works as it should and looks terrific. Sam is very personable and helpful and I highly recommend him.
