Zen Support

Angie's list is high on my priority list when it comes to service. I am a customer of Angie's list and a merchant who subscribes to Angie's.I needed computer info, so (again) I looked up Angie's list. I have used a vendor on here in the past and I was relatively happy, but I wanted to try someone new and I met Kelley Boylan. I called him late the morning of 04 Aug 2011 and he was at my house by 3:30 PM the same day. When I called he picked up right away and he (himself) talked to me.I needed some info on my computer and was concerned with all of today's technology and 'hacking.' Kelley could NOT have been anymore knowledgable and he got to my concerns immediately. He charges by the hour and charged me a half hour, because is so knowledgable and honest. He gave me a lot of ideas and fixed my adobe acrobat in less than two minutes, something my old comptuer repairman could NOT do in an hour. In addition, my dog (Doberman Pinscher) loved Kelley....something I've never quite seen before, since it was in my house. I could not have been more impressed and/or satisfied. I told Kelley he has a new customer and I told him it was "an absolute pleasure meeting" him. I look foward to doing business with him in the future. Also, he told me about what to expect when I need a new computer. He also told me to install the data from my old computer would be a "flat fee" which I couldn't believe.

My hard drive crashed and I thought that all of my data had been lost or corrupted. Kelley had the experience and expertise to unravel and restore the computer.

Have used this service several times. Always prompt, reliable, explains work in layman's terms. Flawless service.

Working with Kelly was a very positive experience. He replied to my email request promptly and was flexible in accommodating my schedule. he was extremely punctual and got right to work on my computer. He explained things to me in a way that I could understand. I never felt he was talking down to me, even though my knowledge of computers is very limited. He was very pleasant and professional. He was able to finish the job in half an hour, as he had predicted on the phone, and charged only for the time he spent. I would definitely recommend him to others and would not hesitate to call him again with future computer problems.

My husband liked him a lot and he will probably use his services again. The cost was ballpark for what it should have been. My husband was very satisfied and said that he was the real deal. He said that he was very responsive and knew what he was doing. The company is just one man.

They did a fabulous job and the computer is running great. He helped me add more memory to my computer. He was willing to work on my computer that was older than years old. He maintains a great customer, company relationship.

When I called to book the appointment I was asked about the issues I was experiencing with the computers. I adivsed Kelly that the pc was saying low battery and he noted that he could just pull a few from similar old systems he had on hand and that would save me from having to pay for one. On the day of the visit he arrived promptly and went straight to work. I found him extremely knowledgable and very personable. He addressed every issue with both systems in a professional manner. He was finished with everything within an hour and I truly expected it to take at least 2 or 3 times that long. Actually it probably would have been completed even faster than an hour except I kept peppering him with an endless stream of questions. All of which he answered thoroughly and patiently. I can't imagine ever using any service other than Zen Support.

He was very professional, asked questions to get a feel for what was wrong. He figured out that the keyboard was sticking, so he gave me a new keyboard that was in his car. Hooked everything up and got it set up for me. Installed software security and just did a really great job. He was here one hour and I would definitely call him again!

Kelley is very easy to work with, both in scheduling an appointment and sharing his vast knowledge on Macs. I especially liked the fact he reiterated as he was leaving our appointment: follow up calls and emails are included in the money I spent for this appointment. Not many businesses do that today and I know I'll turn to Kelley should I ever need home computing help in the future.

Service was fine. Not a lot of work was performed due to limitation with my equipment. Kelley charged a minimal fee which was very fair. I would not hesitate to use him again.

He was fast, responsive and knowledgable. I'll use him again.

Execellent, excellent experience. I will recommend Kelley to anyone needing any type of Computer help. I have upgraded the memory in desktops and laptops in the past but never where the memory is located under the keyboard, meaning that I had to remove the keyboard in order to swap out the memory. I was a bit leary doing this the first time by myself and needed some guidance and instruction. I sent Kelley an email on a Sunday stating my issue and he called me within an hour of when the email was sent. I had already ordered the memory from Dell and was waiting for it to be delivered. Kelley said to give him a call when I received the memory. It arrived the next day on Monday, I called Kelley and he stopped by my condo after I got home from work and performed the installation. He took the time to instruct and show me how to remove the keyboard and install the memory so that I know how to do this in the future and he ONLY CHARGED ME $20.00. This was one of the best, if not the best, technical support experiences I have ever had. I will not hestitate to call Kelley again or to refer him to a friend.

What a wonderful person! I have decades experience in IT, so I sometimes know more than support people, but Kelley really knows what he's doing, and he was clear about what he can and cannot do. He refused to charge me since he did not do any repairs, even though he spent time on diagnosis and advice. I seldom need computer repair work, since I usually take care of things myself, but there is absolutely no reason I would not call him in whenever it's more than I know how to deal with or would take too much of my time.

Zen support did everything I wanted. He arrived on time and effectively. I will certainly use Zen support again. I was very pleased with the service

This is the second time we've used Zen Support, and both experiences were wonderful. My wife has a home-based business, and her computer is vital to her. In both cases, we had problems with the computer in the evening. I called Kelley each time, and he did what we needed very quickly -- no waiting. In the first case, a faulty memory board, he was able to get the computer working. In the second case, getting a vital file from the hard drive of a computer that wouldn't start up, he copied the file for me. (The second time, the computer was still under manufacturer's warranty and he didn't have the part -- a power unit -- so he didn't fix the computer.) Kelley is a great resource who's saved me twice in the past year. I hope I don't have to use him again (I don't want to have computer problems), but it's reassuring to know he's there. I totally recommend Zen Support without any hesitation to any and all computer users.

Excellent. Prompt response to call, worked around my schedule and did not charge me for the appointment after running diagnostics and determining it was a hardware issue, not something he could fix.

Kelly was outstanding. He answered the phone when I first called (!), was available the next day (a Saturday) to come out and fix the system and did the whole check, uninstall and install in one hour. An excellent experience and I would recommend him highly.

I emailed him from website and got an email response that night. Then he called me the next day to follow up, and I got my questions answered.

Mr. Boylan more than lived up to his extremely high praise from Angie's List. Mr. Boylan confirmed the e-mail is irretrievable. EarthLink also confirmed it; be warned if you use EarthLink. And Mr. Boylan did not charge anything.

Kelley did a fabuous job with everything. He first came to the house to check out my failing and very sluggish computer. While there he made some temporary improvements, and we determined I needed a new computer. On a second visit, he performed the migration from my old computer to the new one. Certain aspects of this were difficult, especially since one of my e-mail services hadn't been supported for years. He had brought various versions of software so he was able to preserve everything. He also installed software and made sure all was up and running efficiently. On a third visit, he installed a new router. When a brief problem with the router occured, he returned right away to do a fix. All in all, he was extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and generally helpful. He did a lot in a relatively short period of time and had the expertise and extra software to do things I never could have done myself. This was money well spent. I will call him in a minute if I have other computer related problems!

First off, Kelley is very flexible about the hours that he can work, and he was very flexible about being able to come over to our house several times. He's also very honest and does not overcharge (he stayed for over an hour but didn't charge us for more than an hour). From start to finish, Kelley was a pro. He came over, immediately took apart the first computer, pried loose the Maxtor hard drive, and set about getting everything on it copied onto my current external hard drive. And, he did it all very quickly. Then, he attacked the broken external hard drive that I had (I previously had dropped it). After checking a lot of things, Kelley initially wasn't sure that he would be able to recover the damaged external hard drive, and he told us that. However, he volunteered to take it home and try using it on some equipment that he had at home. So he tried that, and within 24 hours, he had hit pay dirt and recovered all the data. Kelley then transferred all data from my broken external hard drive to his own external hard drive and at no additional charge, he came over to our house two more times -- once to begin the downloading process from his own external hard drive to a (new) external hard drive of ours, and then an hour or so later to pick up his external hard drive. In all cases, Kelley was prompt and professional. Heartily recommend.

I called on a Monday and told him I needed the work done by Tuesday. He was completely booked but came on Tuesday night. He worked on it. Three days later I had a problem and he came back with no charge. I would use him again and recommend him to anyone. It is also nice that he has a website.

He called right away and was here promptly. I don't know anything about computers so he gave me some good advice about needing a new computer soon. I was very pleased. He charges $125/hour, he was here a little longer than an hour but he didn't charge me for the extra. I don't know enough to compare, but I would say that is probably the going price. Anything cheaper probably wouldn't be as good.

TERRIFIC!! My computer crashed--wouldnt boot--and Kelly arranged to come by my house on a Sunday afternoon (!!!) and was able to get my machine working again without any data loss. Heck of a nice guy--I felt very comfortable having him in my home--and he clearly knows his stuff inside and out. I would highly recommend and would be very surprised if most Angie's List members weren't extremely satisfied. Highest recommendation.

WOW. This guy lives up to his ratings. He hit the ground running. At one point, he was working four computers at the same time. (They're not ALL mine, my wife uses one of them.) While one computer was downloading software, another was scanning for malware and he was on the keyboard of the third. All the while he is giving me advice -- about computers. I am very happy with the results.
