+ -1 moreAll I can say is WOW. Kelley helped resolve a visual issue that started over a year ago with my Windows 7 laptop. HP told me I likely needed to get a new hard drive, and others suggested it was a graphics card failure. With one quick call to Kelley, and a few photos, he was able to determine it was a simple setting on my control panel! Just a few clicks and the issue was resolved. Here I thought I'd need a new laptop, and instead I just needed to undo a preference. Not only was he knowledgeable, he was also very professional and solved the issue for me quickly. I am now a devoted customer!

I was so impressed by his professionalism and responsiveness when he worked on my wife's computer, he was the only one I considered for work on my computer. Kelley diagnosed that my hard drive was bad, purchased a new hard drive, reinstalled my operating system and even helped me recover some of the expensive programs I had purchased via download on my previous drive! This was ALL accomplished for only $300! He answers when you call him, he knows what he is doing and he offers more than reasonable rates. What else could you ask for? I HIGHLY recommend this company.

+ -1 moreKelley is very responsive whenever you call him and he tries to work you into his schedule as soon as he can, which is usually within a few days or a week at latest. He has also stopped by to help with quick resolves on the same day. Kelley is very good at what he does. I'm quite techno-challenged so sometimes I don't get what he's saying. He's pretty good at trying to explain, though.
Description of Work: On this visit, Kelley completely wiped a couple of our computers clean before we were to recycle them. He also told us how we could do it ourselves in the future if we wanted to do that. On a past visit, Kelley transferred all of my previous computer's info over to my new laptop and set it up the new stuff with my printer, etc. It took a while and I'm sure was frustrating because my old computer was so slow. He charged $187.50 for that and was clear about calling him anytime with questions or if I needed him to stop by again to be sure everything was working well.

+ -1 moreKelley called me back the same day and we made an appointment for him to come out within two days. He was upfront about pricing and what he would be doing. Such a nice guy. He talked to my son to make sure he understood just what kind of signal strength would be needed for the gaming in garage. Kelley was here for less than an hour, charged us exactly the cost of the product he brought (with receipt for verification) and $30 to come over. We did have a slight issue with the connection after he left, but I called him and he gave me a suggestion to adjust the setup. Kelley was very nice, and assured me that he was available to come back out if the issue didn't resolve. We did get the connection working. Apparently my sons' computer was blocking the new connection so we just changed the settings to accept and all is well. Great guy.
Description of Work: Kelley helped us to get a stronger internet signal in our garage, (man cave), so that video games and ESPN.com can be utilized.

+ -1 moreI was getting a "high cpu" message on my pc when browsing and stupidly downloaded a program i found online that claimed to be a solution to the problem. The program ran for almost 2 hours and after I couldn't access certain files and couldn't print. I went to Kelly's web site and sent him a message. He responded within an hour and offered to come over right away if I needed immediate support. I told him it could wait till the following day so we scheduled an appointment . He cleaned up my pc as much as possible and transferred all of my files to my lap top.
Description of Work: Repaired pc. Transferred all my documents and files (including email files) from pc to lap top.

Elected to drop off the PC at his location which was convenient with parking available right in front. An estimate was provided up front and Kelley explained the potential problems. The PC was fixed when promised and the rate for fixing was very reasonable. I would highly recommend using Kelley for any computer issues and would use his services again.

+ -1 moreI e-mailed on a Sunday evening, Kelly responded with a return e-mail. I didn't notice his e-mail, so I called him on Monday, we set up an appointment to come out on Wednesday to address the issues I was having with my computer. He arrived on time and went right to work. He is friendly, works very efficiently and is very focused. I was having a problem with a profile on Windows 7. It would not load up and was loading a temporary profile that would not allow me to access my files or save new work - my computer was basically worthless at this point. After doing some diagnostics, explained what the problem was and what his solution would be. He corrected the problem, verified that it was successful, and made sure I knew what happened. Kelly said he was accessible for follow up should I have any questions or problems. I couldn't ask for a better experience. Great experience at a very reasonable price.

He was here about and hour on an old printer that two geek squad people had not completed working on and they just more or less left it. I was really disappointed with Geek Squad. Description of Work: Was having problems with a Windows Vista laptop. Left a message for Kelley on a Sunday PM, and he called back Monday AM with a solution to the problem that took about 30 seconds to do, over the phone, with his guidance. He knew exactly what the problem was from my brief description of the problem, knew this to be a known problem with Vista. He did not charge me for the call. I would definitely use him in the future for any computer needs, for his knowledge, kindness and generosity. By the way, another computer repair service was given the same information and wanted to make a $90- minimum service call to repair the machine. I am very happy that Kelley called back before I paid a lot of money for someone to push one button!

+ -1 moreWe upgraded the security on our old router from WEP to WPA. It worked for two days and then we lost our wi-fi network and couldn't get it back. We then bought a new router and although our 4 laptops and one desktop computer recognized the new network, only one laptop was able to connect to the internet. The router's tech support could not help us solve the problem and we decided to call Kelley. Though I hadn't used his services before, I had recommended him to 3 friends based on reviews in Angie's List and received favorable reports. I called Kelley at around 4pm on a Saturday and he was able to get to my house by 6pm and fixed the problem within 15 minutes. We were very grateful for his swift response and thrilled with the results. Kelley has a great service ethic and a wonderful personality for providing that service.
Description of Work: Kelley got our wi-fi network working again after we had tried to upgrade our security and lost the ability to connect with the internet.

I offered to pay him for his time, but he refused. After I purchased my Mac, Kelly came out to my office to assist in the conversion of files and set up of the new computer and printer. He was on time, highly professional and efficient, answering any and all of my questions. Finished in 1. 5 hours, and I was up and running.

+ -1 moreHe said his charges are $125 he came out and said it is per hour and would make it for $100 per hour. He is a neat guy. We have two computers in our house. My wife has a computer but does not have a printer so she could send stuff into my computer and print them out. Another thing he did is that we could send fax on line. Then I could not hear them so he showed me how to get sound. Previously I took my computer to a provider and they said that there was nothing wrong with my computer. But Zen Support came to my house and looked at it and showed me what I needed to do. The third thing he did was to clean up her stuff and got rid of Maple Tram which we don’t need and things like that. He was a good guy. He showed up on time, he was cheaper. I did not question or negotiate with him I asked him what he thinks as a fair price and so he probably knocked off 100 bucks. As for price I don’t have anything to compare them with. As for being responsive he was to be here at 1 O’clock and he showed up at 1.10.

He immediately started working with the computer and while waiting for downloads to install, he began to examine the problem with an old computer. The second computer was not a part of the service call. He only charged me for 2 hrs of service though he was there for 4+. He also took the second computer to retrieve data using his tools and did not charge extra even though he was going to use his discs and mail them to me.
Description of Work: Computer was cleaned up for speed and proper drivers updated and installed. A second nonfunctioning computer was taken and data retrieved.

Kelley customized, delivering what served me: keeping original quality equipment going, ultimately providing ergometrical, aesthetic, energizing solutions in line w/feng shui design principles for my vintage 1922 condo AND saving me $200+. No cop-outs due to run-of-the-mill problem-solving skills, attitudinal problems, or clock watching addictions. SUPERLATIVE, AS HIS RATINGS PROVE.
Description of Work: Good omen: Kelley answered his phone and was very open to working w/my difficult schedule, which meant a delay of 2 days. Good omens continue: Day 1: Arrival: positive, energizing steps and words as he sprung up the stairs. Right here sensed can do attitude and that my equipment would be in good hands. Billed only for an hour, but stayed over that solving new HP Touch Smart 610-1180qd CTO Desktop PC Windows 7 printing problem on "old" [2006] flawless HP Color LaserJet 2840 all-in-one printer. Simultaneously doing partial set up of computer's TV, all the while answering other questions. Then, began further multi-tasking w/secondary vintage 2003 Acer Laptop and 1997 Windows 1998 LaserJet 5L flawless printer, amidst bldg. network "issues." Advised I stay w/these [YES!] and return new, unopened HP 1102x printer and toner, providing half the copies and saving over $200! Day 2: Complications w/secondary tasks: NOT Kelley's fault: Linksys Adapter not showing some of bldg's access points. Low speed and signal problems w/ remaining ones. Resulting in inability to print from File and killing connection. Called Kelley mid-day as he had just finished morning job/s and was en route to Hyde Park for another extensive session. Tried walking me through a resolution, empowering [There WAS an answer out there!], though not it. Said he would stop by 6-8 pm. Returned after 8 and set to work. Switched connectivity access from Linksys Adapter to original, much more user friendly wireless Wizard [?] set up. Kept on methodically working/thinking through difficulties. Last shot: switch to Internet Explorer 8 browser, waited but left well after 9 as it was going to take awhile. Did not bill visit. Said to call if difficulties. I did and got voicemail. Response highly unlikely I thought as he probably had logged a 12 hour+ day. Eureka: "All's well that ends well": He did! Patiently walked me through reconnection and response to text box, but still reverted to Linksys. Nevertheless was successful printing from File.
