It went well.

Wendy was on time and very friendly. First thing she did was ask me a bunch of questions to gauge my taste and then we walked through every room in my condo with the color preview. Once we had a few ideas, she pulled out larger color samples that we taped to the walls. We spent a considerable amount of time debating a variety of colors. In addition, after I explained some ideas I had to decorate my place, she provided the name of a bunch of different stores that she thought would fit my taste. I could not have been more pleased with the purchase and I would recommend Wendy for anyone looking for similar services.

We have a 5 year old and a special needs toddler in a small house in Chicago. We had toys and "stuff" everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Wendy came over on a weekend, evaluated our living room and dining room, and prepared several plans for us. We picked one, and then she scoured the universe for pieces that fit our lives, which is hard to do. My husband is an archeologist, I'm a minimalist who lives in clutter, and one of the "must keeps" was a 3 1/2 foot diameter trampoline in our living room that she incorporated into her plans. We ended up keeping the paint and reusing several pieces of furniture, buying a new couch and a new media console for our living room, a new chest for the dining room, and some roman shades. We just bought a rug that should be arriving shortly. I can't tell you how it has transformed our lives. Our house was chaotic, but with a new couch and a new media console now we can sit and relax. She assured us everything would fit, I didn't believe her, but we were so deep in "stuff" that I just followed directions. I didn't even believe her when the furniture arrived, or while I was putting it away. But you know what? It fit. It's SO much better. Amazingly better. She's going to help us with our downstairs area in a couple of weeks, which will need to be designed around toddler Little Tikes climbers and slides. I can't wait!!

Wendy was a good listener and was able to tune right in to my style. I would certainly call her in the future.

Everything is going well thus far. Wendy has been very communicative and punctual, and it's been easy scheduling her visits.

Wendy was prompt, cheerful and resourceful. She had so many wonderful ideas! She really enjoys her work She understood that my budget was limited (not your typical design-consultation client!), and I felt no judgement from her on that account. She provided many resources and suggestions, she brought her paint samples, she wanted to help me address all of my areas of concern. I really enjoyed her company and I had many, many notes after our consultation! She will ultimately have saved me money from providing such good advice. This way, I won't waste money on things that don't work. She also helped me to figure out what I can return, where I can get quality materials at a discount, etc. I would definitely use her again.

We first went over the laminate selection and narrowed down the options to one that would really look nice then we went over paint options and fairly quickly came up with another nice option. Then we discussed painting the trim white to match the cabinets and the feasibility of installing granite Then we went into the dining room to discuss rearranging the furniture. Wendy is very professional and knowledgeable. I felt comfortable with her immediately. I highly recommend working with Wendy. My project is more of a face-lift than a renovation but I would use her again if i ever do a bigger, more elaborate project.

Wendy was nice, professional and helpful. I needed a lot of input on identiftying how I could start to mesh the 2 very different styles that have existed since my girlfriend moved in with me. Each room is overfurnished with no cohesive style, and I didn't know where to begin. Wendy was great. As we moved from room to room, I tried to highlight my thoughts for the function of the room, and she would make suggestions for some small and some big adjustments. We covered much more ground than I had anticipated we would in 2 hours.

Very well. Wendy did wall/floor measurements, explained how furniture could be better arranged; suggestions on media stands and how to place TV; suggestions re size and location of bookcases, etc. Wendy provided very concrete suggestions for arranging and decorating our apartment.

Wendy was a great aid when it came to picking out a color scheme and the look that a I wanted that I didn't know I had,she also gave suggestions on how to display some of my art pieces to there best advantage .

I hired a different Interior Designer who wasn't on the same page as me and was making lots of money off the supplies that I was buying. He knew my budget, but what we found wasn't even close and I had a pretty liberal budget. I definitely didn't want high end, but on the other end of the spectrum didn't want bottom of the line materials either. His hourly rate were also twice what Wendy's were and he makes money off supplies. (great for him, but I wanted the discount myself if i could get it). Most companies (unless you are dealing with big box stores) will give you contractor discounts. Wendy came through at the end of my process of ordering kitchen cabinets. She helped me decide which cabinet faces to order and took it from there. I had already ordered bathroom fixtures. At our initial meeting, which was 2 hours, Wendy too measurements of all of my furniture, rugs, etc and got an idea of what i was looking for. I needed help with countertops, paint colors and tiles. Wendy met me less than 2 weeks later and brought a bunch of samples to me. She laid out all of the tiles, with matching counter tops with several different options and pictures of what they look like on a big scale. Then we picked out paint colors (really Wendy did because I am clueless what to pick). After we picked what I wanted, she took pictures by room of what we selected and that afternoon emailed me the list of pricing (what she could price out) and where to get everything. That's exactly what I wanted. She was timely, professional and a delight to work with. I would recommend her in a heartbeat and use her again, although I probably won't need anything because I completely gutted the condo I bought, so everything will be new. (at least structurally). Her prices were reasonable and she had really good ideas. After hours and hours of stress myself trying to pick things out before Wendy came along, my mind is finally put to rest because it's all coming together. Can't wait to see the finished product and move in. Thumbs up all the way for Wendy. You won't be disappointed.

Wendy was an absolute dream to work with. She helped me redo my dining room -- all new furniture, new layout, new floor and window coverings, and new lighting. I really appreciated how Wendy took the time to really "get" my style, but wasn't afraid to push me to try new things - which was exactly what I asked her to do. Wendy did an excellent job helping me budget the project and finding me options that worked within that budget. She is professional. She is diligent and hard-working. She is always on time and follows up. Her rates are very fair, and she produces clear and timely invoices. I was thrilled at how quickly I was able to complete this project with Wendy's guidance. The results were amazing. But beyond everything else, Wendy really cares about her clients and doing the best for them. I highly recommend her.

She designed 3 different layouts based on our initial meeting and review of the space. She was able to incorporate ideas from both my wife and me and came up with a space that will be very useful for our family. The design plans were very professional, detailed, and useful for conveying to a contractor what we need done. In addition to providing the design plans, she also provided furniture ideas and placements. She really understands how to best utilize a space and we are very anxious to complete the project now. I would recommend Wendy to anyone seeking an interior designer and wouldn't hesitate to use her again for a future project.

Wendy is great!! She was perfect and just as previously described in prior reviews! Thank you Angie's list community helping us find such such a warm ,patient and capable person! Wendy took the time and effort to match our schedule, bring an immense supply of color samples, understand our needs and style and patiently work with us educating us and helping us to find the right colors and also provided invaluable information to the myriad of related decorating questions that came up for us. We are now so excited to go forward with our painting project...likely another review in the future as we have likewise selected our painter from Angie's List who also has very high ratings from the community !!

Wendy is great to work with. She listens to what you want and works with your style. She offers great ideas and solutions and is extremely patient. Her rates are extremely reasonable and she provides great value to house projects. I highly recommend her and will use her again for my next projects.

She is really good. She helped us pick out our tiles for the new house that we are moving in to. She basically did more than she was charging us for. Her price was fairly competitive compared to anyone else. She comes to you and her hours are very flexible.

She was excellent. She has a great eye for design. She is easy to work with. She picks up your style of design fast.

We have had a great experience working with Wendy. She initially spent some time getting know our style and the house and after this we worked through the decisions listed above. For each decision we needed to make, Wendy was thoroughly prepared and organized, showed us a variety of good options, and was responsive as we had questions. She was also flexible on the timing for in-person meetings. For example, when we were choosing furniture and rugs, she prepared architectural drawings of the different rooms so we could see how different furniture choices would lay out in the room. Then she had packets of different pairing options (i.e. a specific sofa + chairs + coffee table + side tables + lamps that all go together) as well as packets for each type of furniture (i.e. 10 sofas, 10 coffee tables). Using this as a starting point, we were able quickly tweak the options presented until we chose something. In addition to spending time in-person going through the options Wendy was responsive as we worked with her over email or over the phone. She also sent the packets I mentioned in a Word document so we could easily review options online while at work, traveling, etc. which was convenient. Everything got done much, much faster than if we'd tried to do it alone, our time was used really efficiently, and the results are definitely better than we'd have ever come up with on our own. Money well spent.

Wendy did an awesome job. She was extremely professional- she knew what our style was and so right on with her choices. Wendy is a fabalous designer but also is a mother and understood how to make the spaces beautiful but also pratical with children. Wendy kept to our design budget (which was lean because we were doing major construction) and most of the items came for some of the bigger chain stores- like Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, West Elm, and CB2. Our home looks so elegant and sophicated- something I could NEVER on my own pull off. It was so worth it to hire her because our place looks fabalous but also she saved money in the end because I did not make horrible purchases that I would have had to update again a few years from now. I walk in my home and have an Ah-Hay moment!!! This is all due to her Candice Olsen like vision!

We were referred to Wendy for interior decorating services from a Chicago's parents network for a gut rehab that we are in the process of doing. I can't say enough great things about Wendy! She took the time to listen to what we were looking for in a design partner and tailored the project to fit both our schedule and budget. Wendy helped us with paint selections, lighting and furniture layout for existing and new pieces. She is a mom of two young children herself so was able to balance our need for practicality and functionality with style and design. Wendy took the time to come out to our "construction site" of a home and walk through the mess to get a sense of the space and better understand our vision. She then took that vision and our likes/dislikes and delivered several options for each element we were working on. She is friendly, approachable, professional and most imporantly reliable, delivering on what she commits to. She is extremely responsive to my questions via phone or email and always made the time for in-person visits upon request. Our house is 4-8 weeks from being completed and we're excited to see the results of everything put together! We are already planning on enlisting Wendy's help again in the future and loved working with her so much that we have already referred her to friends! Remodeling and construction is typically a frustrating process and Wendy has been the bright light being the best partner we could have ever wished for!
