The owner himself went to my house to pick up the chairs and brought them back. He was punctual, very professional and courteous. I highly recommend his company.

No problems with the work itself or the professionalism. Only a few weeks out, the work seems to be high-quality. My issue was with the price, which seems high for the amount of work performed. The pickup and delivery were $55 each way. Creating a lumbar pillow cost $95. Repairing the two chairs cost $450. Given the apparent quality of the work, it's likely I would utilize this provider again, although I would weigh this heavily against the cost of replacement.

Weber provided amazing service. I have a sofa sleeper that was still in very good condition except for the cushions. I contacted Weber and they gave me suggestions on what type of fabric to look for, they came to the house and picked up the old cushions and delivered the beautiful new ones. They were prompt, very courteous and kept in touch throughout the entire process. The cost was a little more than expected but it the results were better than I could have imagined.

They did a fabulous job. Changed a frog into a princess. Workmanship was excellent. Would definitely recommend this provider!!

They did a spectacular job. I was surprised and very pleased at how lovely the replacement wood top they created. The table previously had a marble top that was to heavy for its slender, ornately carved legs. The table was hand-made and over 90 years old. The replacement top looks as if it was original. Their work takes time but is worth it.

We have been using Weber Furniture Repair for over 15 years and have found their work to be consistently good. They have done both refinishing as well as repairs, and we have no complaints, with the exception of their lead time which tends to be long because of their workload and number of projects. They did a particularly lovely job on three pieces of furniture that we had refinished. We feel that they tend to be on the high side for price, but since we have never used anyone else, we don't have any objective date to prove this out. I would trust them to do a good job.

Though expensive, Weber did beautiful work, and the furniture is beautifully restored. I'm proud of these pieces. For one of the tables, the salesperson suggested a special water resistant finish (not polyurethane, which would not have been in keeping with the pieces); the recommendation was a good one, as the wood has stood up against occasional moisture.

I contacted Weber Furniture to inquire about restoring a dining room table and chairs as well as a wooden bed frame. The woman who answered the phone was so rude and had such a terrible tone that I would never take my business here. When I asked about any general info on pricing, she acted as though I asked the most ridiculous question to ever come her way. Even her sign off on the call was as though I had just wasted her time. If potentially bringing her company business is such a hassle for her I can't imagine how my call would be handled if I wasn't happy with service.

In the end, the piece was very well done and beautifully restored. There was something I did not like about the restoration, they were very nice about it and took it back and corrected what needed to be corrected. Everyone who works for Weber Furniture Service LLC is gracious, caring, polite, personable, attentive, and professional in every sense of the word.

Reupholstered and reinforced 2 chairs. The job took several weeks after fabric was in house. Problems with one chair were resolved and managed quickly and professionally. The work was beautiful.

I sent many pix, they said an estimator would have to come out. This took several attempts. I had to hire someone to stay at my place to let the estimator in. He showed up an hour early, as I was leaving for work, so I had to pay my worker, who was already on her way, for nothing. The guy was there 5-10 min. took a few pix, made sure he had the $85.00 check, which would be credited to any work done. Didn't hear back from them for 2 months. Kept e-mailing, leaving messages, no response. Their excuse was "the woman who does the estimates is out sick." The last phone call, I threatened to write a bad review on Angie's list, because for my $85.00 I had nothing. Within 20 min. they faxed me an estimate for $17,500, which was a joke. For 1/4 of that money, I could have the whole thing pulled out and new cabinets built. I called and asked if they were having a good laugh at my expense, they acted very pompous. I have been giving negative reviews to Ravenswood ever since. Apparently they don't need new business.

A chair of mine came loose and collapses under a friend. Weber was able to repair it like new.

The rush -seat dining side chair has been redone and now looks extremely close to the other chairs in the set. One would be hard pressed to tell which chair had been redone. Weber also arranged to have my chairs delivered back to my home (it's an hour's drive from their business, so this customer service extra has made me quite satisfied.) Dave was great to deal with and I am now a satisfied customer. Neither of us can figure out what went wrong before because it could have been matched to the rushing that was removed??? It hadn't been sealed which may have accounted for the color difference. That is Dave's to deal with at the factory level.

They didn't seem interested in doing the job. We thought the price was high for the work done but we needed the chair ASAP. It took over a month. If we didn't follow up the chair could very well still be sitting in their shop.

In order to get an estimate, we had to email pictures of the desk, and we received a detailed estimate in a few days. When we brought the desk in, we met with the guy who was going to do the actual work, and decided on what kind of finish would work best. We are extremely happy with the final product.

I have tons of likes when it comes to Weber Furniture. If I were to give them ratings of up to 10 on everything that's how I would've felt. My wife researched companies who could work on a mid-century modern dining room table that has been in my family for many years. We both felt that the table needed to be taken care of and Weber was selected basically because of their reputation and record in the Chicagoland area. They were also conveniently located near our home and the bottom line was after the cost that we paid the work was done more than satisfactorily and was delivered and returned to us in an excellent condition. I would use them again and refer them. I think they stepped up to the plate on a number of levels and certainly addressed my fears about what would be able to be done on a table of this caliber because we consider it a bit of an heirloom but we also knew that the table was old, so for them to do the surface restoration on the top area was amazing and we were very pleased.

Their pricing was probably not out of line but it was expensive for what I needed to do. It was more money than I wanted to spend and they took quite a while to get back to me with a quote, which was a little bit complicated for me. They were very polite and I believe they do a very good job. It really was about price and my budget. They were much more responsive by phone than by email. I might use them for a different project that I would be willing to spend more money on.

I was looking at an antique console table on ebay. Before buying, I emailed the listing to JoAnn, who quoted a reasonable price for refinishing. When Weber received the piece, JoAnn called me to say the the actual price would be double what she had quoted. She said the table was "larger than she thought". The listing had provided the EXACT dimensions, so this was a pretty big screw up. I should have arranged then and there to transfer the piece to another company. But I was so busy at work that I caved and said o.k. Big mistake. The next call I got was to say that the marble top cracked completely in half while workers were moving it. Instead of an apology, I got a song and dance about how old marble is extremely fragile, and Weber refuses to take any responsibility for marble pieces. Fine -- But it would have been nice to know that BEFORE I purchased an antique marble piece and shipped it to you! They told me they could repair the marble for several hundred dollars. Of course I should have walked away from this ludicrous company, but I was so busy that I told them to go ahead. The marble repair is o.k. -- The damage is clearly visible, but may be the best that could be done. Meanwhile, my ebay "bargain" cost me a bundle to restore - 3 or 4 times the original quote. And throughout this process, I never received any apology or admission that mistakes had been made.

. they are a bit pricey but do a good job, are always polite and on time. Great example of a small business doing things the right way.. i will definitely use them again if needed

We got this 40 yr old set of mid century couch from my in-laws, the leather was worn out, the filling was sagging and stitching were broken at some area. It needed some action. We considered: leather refinishing, leather painting and complete reupholster. We contacted a few vendors and decided to go w/ Weber for the following reasons: 1) we learned about Weber from Chicago Magazine that a mid century furniture store trust Weber for all of its restoration work 2) we had a good impression of JoAnn. Our experience proved that we have made the right choice. JoAnn was very patient through the lengthy process to try out different options and also to price out each option itemized based on the pictures we provided. She never pushed us to spend more $$$ and understood how difficult it was for us to decide on such a big investment. First, we tried refinishing the couch seat cushion (cleaning & creaming) for $200 (JoAnn waived 50% of it later). Then we painted an area of the cushion (free of charge). Both were an improvement but was not able to cover the scuffs. After comparing the cost of refurbishing the leather and rebuilding some cushions (about $4000) vs. the cost of reupholster the complete set, we decided to bite the bullet. Once the order was in, it took 6 wks to finish. Before we arranged pick up, we came in for an inspection and met the master who did the job. He has been w/ the company since 1970 (if I remember correctly). The set was stunning! The company seemed to treat its people well (good hours/vacation allowance), JoAnn, Kim and people who work there have been there for a long time. The company is very trustworthy. Their price was higher than other vendors, but they honored the price even though the actual job had more work and more complexity than what they thought. For example, they had to make quite a few leather straps to tie the cushions with the frame that were not included in the original quote. In short, if we have valued furniture that needed restoration, we know whom to talk to -- JoAnn at Weber.

I had washed my sunbrella deck cushion covers in the washing matching (because it says they're machine washable - don't believe them) and couldn't stuff the cushion innards into the covers, so I took the five cushions/ covers to Weber and they were very polite. They professionally took the time to get the covers back onto the cushions, complete with steaming so there was no sagging. They were very professional, very polite and got to my little job right away. They seem to be a little mom and pop place that care about their customers. They even took the time to tell me how to properly clean my Sunbrella cushion covers.

I contacted a JoAnn at Weber by phone for information. The company profile stated Weber s reupholsters as well as repairs/refinishes furniture, which JoAnn confirmed, even though Angie s List at the time I was researching didn t have them in the reupholster category. For an estimate she said either we could bring the chairs to their shop, have Weber pick them up for a $65 charge, or take our own photos of the chairs and either drop them off by hand or mail them by the mail service or email them the latter discouraged since their email system unreliable . She offered to provide fabric sample books, order fabric for us or we could provide our own fabric; we should assume 1 yard of fabric per chair. I did send the photos attached to an email with the relevant information she requested. It took several phone calls to Weber for this process to get completed and to finally get a written estimate - which did not yet include cost of fabric - for which we could have bought new chairs instead.
