UGLY TUB? INC

Very meticulous in preparation. Coat of finish is even and bright. So much better then replacing the tub. On time and called when on his way to our home. Scheduler was very detailed in explaining what to expect from the process and cost. A reminder call was given. Our tub is now a bright and beautiful white.

Great job, good clean up, Office is easy to work with, followed up when I did not respond right away (I was away on a trip) and person who came to do the work stayed longer as my tub was old and had longer time to peel the old paint. Tub looks great and was done in a day, can use tub/shower on same day. Have used them in the past, great company - Highly recommend you using them, it is a quality (but cheap) solution to make an old outdated tub look shiny and new again!

The woman in the office was on vacation, so it took several days for a call back. After that, everything was great.

We contacted Ugly Tub to reglaze our bathroom sink and tub prior to selling our condo. Ugly Tub came with high recommendations and matched the lowest price. They were also flexible and did not require us to have the base of our sink reglazed since it was in good condition. The serviceman from Ugly Tub did not show up on time, but was not so late that I called to check in. The work took about an hour or two longer than anticipated. The serviceman was extremely friendly, courteous, and professional. He did not dress in any uniform and drove a beat-up personal vehicle and the final price was as quoted. I would gladly trade uniform and vehicle for good service and performance. The tub/sink looked brand new. I have two minor complaints. First, the glazing does not come all the way to one of the faucet handles - there is some cracking around the handle edge and you can see the material beneath the glazed surface. This error I can correct with some porcelain touch-up from a hardware store. Second, I was supposed to receive a follow-up phone call with warranty and care instructions. I never received that call.

I contacted Ugly Tub, and was greeted by a friendly person by the name of Patti. She was able to schedule the job within days of my call. The technician, Darnell, did a terrific job-the tub looks great!

I already had an electrician working at my house before I got home and the Ugly Tub tech got there before me. He began the work including the removal of some things I had hoped to clear out ahead of his arrival. He was well on his way to completing the prep work by the time I arrived. He worked in a cramped space (this is a small-ish bathroom) on a very hot and humid day and he did a beautiful job. He took great care to cover all the non-affected surfaces and cleaned up nicely after he was finished. He was very professional, made sure I knew and understood all the after-care instructions. I am so pleased.

Ugly Tub arrived late and set a refinisher who appeared not to have a pulse. Additionally, the work was completed in such a poor manner that I had to hire an additional company to fix what they had done (I was so fed up with his lack of professionalism, quality and respect). I must mention that they had to make three appointments to not only complete the work that was started, but to correct it each time. Ugly Tub did not clean up after his work as well and neglected to inform us that they left six of our windows on the ground level open. Please note that we ended up not having to pay due to our experience (but we did hire an additional company to refinish our tubs).

Jay the technician was actually early to our appointment and that suited my schedule. He explained what he'd be doing, and what I would need to do after the proper time had passed, which included carefully removing the materials that protected the surrounding area during the refinishing. I left him to it and went to work. I had not arranged for him to return to remove the masking paper and to re-caulk, so that was my job. He had done a clean job and removal was easy. The tub looks great! I had never caulked before and that was an interesting experience, but everything worked out well. I'm very pleased and would use this company again without hesitation. I also found the receptionist who scheduled my job to be very helpful and knowledgeable. She makes a very good impression for the company.

They were very prompt. Although we had 4 different workers over the six day period, they were all on time and very friendly and did a great job.

Showed up on time and performed work as agreed within time frame specified. Left written material behind on maintenance. This is the third time I have used this company and will continue using them. Price was lowest quoted of several competitors.

I would certainly recommend them and thought the description I got from Angie's List was very accurate.

They were great. A in every category. Mike was our technician and he was fabulous.

During 1st call I was provided with copious information about the process and the proper way to care for the finish afterward. Mike showed up on time and was quite pleasant and workman like, except for the considerable amount of dust left behind when he was finished (I had scrubbed all walls, floors and fixtures thoroughly before he arrived). There were little specks that looked like grit in some areas of the tub immediately after application. I called the company to ask what could be done. It took a week for someone to come out for a 10-minute visit at which time I was told it was probably because the old porcelain had tiny pits that caused air to bubble up. He said he would see what the schedule was after the holidays. A week after the holidays I called again and was told it was my fault--dust in the area had caused it. I said that wasn't what we had agreed on, but they wanted a $65 service charge to fix it. Allison said she would pass that on to the boss, but they never called back.

EXCELLENT, TUB LOOKS BRAND NEW. TOOK ONLY ABOUT 3 HOURS. RECOMMEND HIGHLY.

AGAIN, OVERALL A GREAT JOB. KEVIN DID A VERY NICE JOB, AND WAS VERY POLITE AND RESPECTFUL OF MY HOME AND EVERYTHING IN IT. HE EVEN CALLED EARLY TO SEE IF HE COULD GET A HEAD START, WHICH WORKED OUT WELL B/C HE WAS ABLE TO FINISH THE JOB IN ONE DAY. AN OBVIOUS PLUS WITH KIDS IN THE HOUSE. PRICE WAS $6 A SQ. FT., AND I HAD ALMOST 700 SQ. FT. OF TILE. NOT GREAT, BUT NOT TOO BAD FOR BASICALLY A NEW BATHROOM. RICK, THE GENTLEMAN ON THE PHONE, WAS POLITE AND THOROUGH IN HIS EXPLANATION OF HOW EVERYTHING WAS GOING TO BE DONE.

WHEN I CALLED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, THE OWNER ASKED ME SEVERAL QUESTIONS SO THAT HE COULD ASSESS THE CURRENT STATE OF THE TUB AND GIVE ME AN ACCURATE ESTIMATE. (THEY ALSO HAVE A WEBSITE WITH MANY FAQS AND INFO.) ON THE DAY OF SERVICE, MIKE, THE TECHNICIAN, CALLED AHEAD OF TIME WHEN HE KNEW HE WAS GOING TO BE A LITTLE LATE FOR THE APPOINTMENT. THE SERVICE WAS FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL AND THE TUB LOOKS FANTASTIC. THE RESIDUAL SMELL WAS A LITTLE STRONGER THAN I HAD THOUGHT IT WOULD BE, BUT AFTER 24 HOURS IT WAS GONE. I WOULD CERTAINLY USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN AND RECOMMEND IT TO FRIENDS.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, THEY GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OVER THE PHONE AFTER I DESCRIBED THE CONDITION OF THE TUB. THEY SET UP AN APPOINTMENT AND THE NIGHT BEFORE THEY CALLED TO CONFIRM. THEY SHOWED UP AT THE SCHEDULE TIME, THE WHOLE PROCESS TOOK ABOUT 4 HOURS. WHEN HE WAS DONE WITH THE TUB IT WAS AMAZING. THE TUB LOOKED TOTALLY BRAND NEW AND THEY PROVIDED A 5 YEAR WARRANTY ON THEIR SERVICES ALONG WITH A LONG LIST OF DO'S AND DON'TS FOR THE NEW SURFACE OF THE TUB. IT WAS WELL WORTH THE $185 TO REFINISH THE TUB, THAN TO SPEND HUNDREDS MORE TRYING TO RIP OUT AND REPLACE AN OLD PORCELAIN TUB THAT HAD BEEN IN THE BUILDING FOR OVER 80 YEARS.
