I have used Dan for over 30 years. In that time he has provided all my equipment and solved all my tech problem and repairs. He is top rate in everything he does. Stays current on everything and advises when to make changes and improvements. Most dependable and priced very fairly.

Besides being very knowledgeable, brilliant, and a good communicator, "Doctor Dan" (he does have a Ph.D. after all) installed a whole package of freeware utilities that he has found to be as good or better than costly programs on the market. Solved all my problems at a very reasonable hourly rate -- and he was educating me at the same time. He seems more interested in making his customers in better control of their computer systems than in making them dependent on more of his services. Hence the A rating!

Everything went very well. Dan came three times - once to my old home, and twice to my new home. At the old home, Dan dismantled and carefully packed my computer and all the cables, printers, and other peripheral equipment for a safe move. He moved the equipment in his car, brought it to the office at my new home, and reassembled everything, putting it where I wanted it to go in the new space. Once set up in my new home, Dan organized and labeled all the (many!) cables, drew diagrams so I'd know what was what, and ensured that everything was working properly. He recommended and installed new security software, and helped me password protect my wireless network. He also set me up with a Weekly To Do routine - installing the software, showing me how to use it, providing printed instructions, and setting the whole routine up in a desktop icon for ease of use. This routine defrags my hard drive and runs a variety of programs to locate and disable malicious software, viruses, and so forth. I feel safer online, and my computer runs faster. For years, I had been dissatisfied with my system back-up routine - and the perplexing software that came with my external hard drive. Dan reconfigured the drive, set me up with a much easier-to-use backup program, and showed me how to use it. Dan is meticulous and attentive to detail, and he makes common sense suggestions like having a notebook near the computer with login, configuration, and other system information (yes, I do now!), and putting a label on the router with the network ID and password. Simple, right? But I hadn't thought to do it myself. Dan provides what I look for in a computer consultant: Not only someone who can do something himself, but someone who will show me how to be smarter about what I'm doing!
