Tibu Hardwood Floors Company

Tibu ruined my floors 4 years ago. Email me for pictures at mwmairead@gmail.com. Showed them the black stains resulting only from placing a mop on a floor they refinished and Cornel refused to do anything about it. No pride in their work. They did the 1st floor my house in 2 days. I now understand they couldn’t possibly have placed 3 coats of finish. I have now saved enough $ to pay thousands more to have the job REDONE. I don’t understand why Tibu is on Angie’s List.

I moved out all except the largest pieces of furniture. Cornel moved the furniture around and did the condo in two stages. They finished sooner than expected and floors look amazing. They were very careful with my things. They did not damage any baseboards. I'm so happy with their work.

Cornel and his assistant were punctual and measured every single room before giving me a firm estimate. I had another estimate earlier in the week, and that contractor simply looked around the flat and gave me a figure which was higher then Tibu. Cornel explained how it would work and that he would need two days to do the job. His crew was punctual and courteous and did a great job! The only complaint I had was that they did not cover counters or close the bathroom door or cover appliances. Not such a big deal. It just required me to do a cleaning afterwards. This is a 1928 two flat in Chicago and the floors definitely showed wear and tear. They look new now I am completely satisfied with the work done on the floors and I'm a little jealous since I live on the second floor and can't get mine refinished unless I move everything out first. Last but not least , I had a problem with locking the door after this work was done And although he said he didn't think it was because of the work his crew did, cornel came over and realigned the lock to the frame so that it worked smoothly. Thank you to cornel, his assistant and crew for a great experience. I would recommend Tibu hardwood floors to anyone who is looking to get their floors refinished.

They did a great job. There was a problem with the family room. The blinds were partially left open and caused a discoloration. They redid the entire floor.

Cornel stripped, sanded, refinished the hardwood floors in our condo. There were a few places that required repair, and he cut out the affected boards and replaced them with a staggered set of boards so that the repair wouldn't be obvious. Since we were having the place painted at the same time Cornel coordinated his work with our painter, so that the painting prep work happened first. Then Cornel and his team did all the work on the floors over the course of about 4 days, with the exception of the final coat and buffing. That final coat and buffing happened after the painting was complete, so that he could buff out any scratches that happened from the painting. When he came back the final time to return my furniture to its original spots, he even replaced the existing plastic furniture pads on the bottom of my chairs with nailed in felt ones that wouldn't scratch my floors. I would hire him in a heartbeat and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a hardwood floor guy.

They were excellent to work with. Cornell the owner was the nicest guy in the world. He was always on time and responsive to phone calls and questions. His crew was wonderful to have in my home. Cornell's prices were fabulous.
