Three Marias Cleaning

Maria worked with us to schedule our cleaning during the busy holiday season. She specifically asked what areas we wanted the crew to focus on since they wouldn't be able to clean the whole house in the 4 hours we paid for. The work was great and I would recomment Three Marias.

They scrubbed for hours and did a very good job. I will absolutely have them in again.

Went very well. Very courteous, professional, and diligent. They were not bothered by our 120lb lab-mix puppy. Which is a huge deal for us. We have booked additional cleaning and are looking a regular service.

We purchased an Angie's List voucher for this company's service. Left them numerous voice-mails and sent them several e-mail. Nobody even bothered to return our calls. We canceled our voucher and asked for a refund. I can only imagine what the actual service would have been like.

The thing I love the most is that 3 women come each time and they are only there for 90 minutes. They clean my hardwoods on eir hands and knees. Kitchen and bathrooms are spotless. They use our products and towels. To do anything else would cost more. It's very convenient.

They did a great job and cleaned all those nooks and crannies I never get to with my normal cleaning. With the coupon from Angies List, it was a great deal.

I was quite happy with the quality of the service. Not 100%, but I am a tough customer, and I would give them a couple more chances to learn exactly how I like things done. The kitchen was the part I was not thoroughly impressed with, I expected more attention to cleaning the cabinets around the handles, where they usually get dingy. The stove was not perfectly cleaned either, but I guess part of it was the fact that I did not show the two ladies where the oven cleaner was, so they cleaned the stove with a different product that was less efficient. There are also places like the light switches that we touch all the time and I would expect a professional cleaning team to pay more attention to, but again, this being our first encounter and them not knowing exactly what my exigencies are, I can say I was quite satisfied.

These ladies were amazing. They came in and did a move-out cleaning for us to prepare our home for our new renters. They did an excellent job and finished it very quickly. Definitely a good investment and will use them again.

Three Maria's came recommended from friends who have used the service for years. The first visit was just great, my home was sparkling. After that, it seemed to just go downhill incrementally with each visit that culminated with a 45 minute visit that left me dumbfounded. I was working outside in the yard while they were cleaning and didn't notice that they had departed. While my home is small, there is no way it could be cleaned in that amount of time even tho there were three that came that day When I went inside, they were gone and I realized they had not been there for more than 45 minutes. The kitchen floor and stove top were still dirty, only large, conspicuous surfaces had been dusted, and the shower still had water and soap film on the tiles,. The carpets had been vacuumed and the garbage taken out. I had company coming for the weekend and had to have someone come in and redo. While I didn't call and complain each time, I did tell Maria that they needed to pay more attention to detail as the dusting was slacking off. It apparently didn't matter. Part of the problem was my inability to understand Maria. Her accent is very heavy so communication is limited. I would neither recommend nor use this service again.

They are very nice and consistent. They do a very good job and are very thorough.

They are due to come back next week. They come every other week. They arrived promptly. Their cleaning is good. They are very friendly. When my grandson is there, he is 4, they don’t ask like he is in the way. They relate to him, answering his questions and talk to him. I have recommended other people to them.

It went really well. They cleaned the home for two hours. They did a very good job.

We are very happy with Three Marias. Their price is in line with others, the quality of work is always excellent, Maria and her staff are always friendly and courteous, and Maria is always flexible with schedules. The ony small negative - which is why I gave a "B" on responsiveness - is that none of their staff (other than Maria) appear to speak any English. Usually this is a non-issue, but occasionally, when I need to try to communicate something to them, it just doesn't work. It might be good if her staff could work to pick up at least a rudimentary vocabulary, to better interface with customers. On first cleaning, they usually send out someone who does speak English, to make sure they understand the requirements. That said, I would definitely recommend them. Overall they are very good and reasonably priced.

BOYCOTT 3 Maria?s Cleaning Service in Chicago! I have been using 3 Maria?s for a couple years and recommended the service to my daughter. After a first-time cleaning, she called Maria and asked why the cost to clean their house was so much higher than ours given that their place was smaller. At this point Maria went ballistic. Maria screamed into the phone that my daughter had a ?filthy disgusting house? (not true) and that she was a ?liar and a terrible person? (again, couldn?t be further from the truth). Maria continued her one-sided bullying session until she finally hung up on her. Maria?s behavior was totally unwarranted and simply outrageous. Maria should be ashamed of herself. Obviously we will NEVER use her service again and would highly recommend that you don?t either.

We have hired the Three Maria's multiple times and are extremely pleased every time they come! They do an excellent job cleaning and the staff is very pleasant to have in our home. We would recommend them to any of our friends!

I used them twice. The first time they were reasonably punctual and did a good job at a reasonable price. The second experience was not good. We scheduled a two hour cleaning window on a Saturday (1:30-3:30). The owner called many hours earlier (between 8am-10am). I wasn't available during those times and they couldn't contact me. It turns out that they had a cancellation and wanted to come much earlier. When I called them back (around noon) the owner told me that I had given a "non-working phone number" and that it was my fault but that they could no longer come. Her tone was too aggressive and she chose to transfer all of the blame to me. I never promised to be continuously reachable prior to the service window and I couldn't have accommodated a much earlier time in any case. In my opinion a professional business would honor the original service window even if there were a cancellation. If not, at least they could be somewhat apologetic about the result. In general I think the owner is very responsive and organized and that they in some ways are a good business. This specific experience was not good, though, and the owner's manner of speaking with the client is too brusque and combative for my taste. I will choose another service in the future.

They always call the day before to make sure everthing is set. They are very easy to get along with and very personable. They are always on time and they show up when they say they will. They do a good job and are very trustworthy.

I have two bathrooms upstairs that are stone-white marble. I found something that looked like blood next to the toilet. I called Maria and asked her to speak with the girls. White marble stains. She said they didn?t do anything. I didn?t scream or yell, just asked what it was so I could get it out. Apparently what I said offended her and they didn?t show up. Mentioning menstruation was offensive to her and she was very rude to me. I explained I wasn?t trying to offend anyone; I was just trying to fix the situation. She didn?t return my phone calls and left me high and dry. Later one, she informed me she would not be coming back. I thought we had a good working relationship.

Their cleaning was comparable to other cleaning services.

I was given a range for the hourly rate over the phone. Since we used to keep our home pretty clean I assumed the lower end of the rate. The lady (I think Maria) said she would send 2 people but ended up sending 3. She said tell them what your priority is to clean and they would focus on that. The 3 ladies showed up on time. They started working on 3 areas but how do you tell them the priority when they dont understand english!! Only one of them understood english and did the translation for others. I think we spent about 30 minutes overall trying to explain what needed to be done. The cleaning itself was okay, my wife says they weren't that great relative to the thoroughness in her cleaning. In the end we were charged the highest of the hourly rate. I asked the office why because the 3 cleaning ladies couldnt answer me. They replied "the refrigerator was extremely dirty". A big lie that I could not disprove. I was charged about forty for cleaning supplies that I think would've been cheaper if I'd bought them. I ended paying about 50% more than I hoped for and the office lady says "you shouldve told the cleaning lady how much you're willing to pay and they wouldve cleaned accordingly"??..1. she says she told me this when setting up the appt. which isn't true 2. they dont understand english..3. so if I had said what i wanted to pay they wouldve done an even poorer job? I would never recommend this firm to anyone. Stay away!!! You might be able to bargain and get a lower price but fix the price before you call them out.

Maria responded to my last-minute call for housecleaning on a Saturday afternoon by checking with two of her employees who were just finishing up what was to have been their last appointment of the day. They were amenable and came over within an hour. They were hard-working and professional. I couldn't have been happier with their work.

Maria's company has been cleaning my home for over three years. Two kids, a dog and husband leave my home a little worse for the wear. I rarely see them since I work all day, but I love coming home on cleaning days - everything is spotless. I don't need to take out the cleaning supplies or the sheets - they know where to find them. Maria checks in with me at least once every three months to make sure I am happy. They have come a few times prior to large parties and have been flexible when I need to change my regular cleaning day.

For the most part, the cleaning is good but dealing with Maria is a nightmare. She is not professional and not diplomatic and my experience as well as, apparently, others who have responded here, eventually becomes most unpleasant.

We were referred to them by our realtor and we were very happy with them. They were very thorough.
