They were extremely neat, polite and reasonable. They didn’t break anything and were on time. I was very impressed with them.

I had a contract for two trucks and six movers who were to arrive at 0900. The estimate was for $1,700. The crew arrived at 0830 and got right to work. The foreman kept us informed of what was going on and was constantly checking with us to avoid any confusion. They brought plenty of blankets and wardrobes which was a great help in finishing up the few last things we hadn't gotten packed. We have some compressed wood Ikea furniture and they moved it all without breaking anything. In fact we didn't have anything broken or scratched when the move was finished. I've moved eight times and this would be the first time that's happened. Bottom line, the job was done quickly, professionally and $230 LESS than the estimate. They were done by early afternoon and I had lots of time to start setting up the house. Very satisfied.

Anyone who uses this service needs to know that they only take cash - no checks or credit cards. Although their contract does state this, it would be helpful to be told this verbally when you make the appointment. The crew that arrived was unprofessional. They left doors and fences open, left wrapping from the cartons in the lawn and gouged appliances into the wooden floors. They allowed the items to rub against the walls and doorways. They did not seem to care about their customer's possessions, handling them carelessly.

Everything about my experience was positive. It was extremely easy to schedule my move. We had to reschedule the date 2 times, but it was no problem for them. The movers came right on time, and worked very quickly. It was raining on my moving day, but that didn't slow them down. When we arrived at my new place (up 3 flights of stairs), the movers continued to work quickly, sometimes carrying 3 boxes up the stairs at a time. Not a single piece of furniture was damaged. I would hire them again in a minute.

They were amazing. They were fast and did not do anything that I did not need them to do. They were very professional and I would recommend them to anyone.

We had a wonderful experience with the Professionals. My only complaint would be that they came about an hour early-- we were still finishing our breakfast. But the early start probably meant less traffic on the roads. We were nervous when we first saw the truck size but the 3 movers packed everything neatly and everything fit. We were also amazed at the men's strength in moving some very heavy items. They got to the new home at about the same time we did and the whole move took about 4.5 hours. We were able to come below the estimate by saving time disassembling some of the furniture in advance and moving most of our boxes and bags into the old house's garage. Lastly, a compliment to Hila, the moving coordinator we spoke to on the phone. She was very accomodating, even though we changed the moving date 2-3 times.

Two days before the move was scheduled, they called to confirm the appointment and "reminded" me that they do not accept payment by credit card or personal check. This was a very big and unwelcome surprise! They did point out that in the fine print on their estimate there is a statement that they only accept cash, cashiers checks or money orders, but to bury such a bizarre and uncommon business practice in the fine print is totally unacceptable and the fact that this company is stuck in 1982 per their payment options should be advertized front and center in all their communications. After talking with the manager, I finally convinced them to make an "exception" and accept my personal check. When the movers arrived to move everything out, I thought that the company had nearly rehabilitated its image by showing up on time and getting everything packed and stored faster and more proficiently than I expected. Then, after moving back in I discovered that this, too was a red herring. The "professionals" do not offer unpacking services (or, at least they did not offer them to me when I explicitly asked for them), so the closest they would come is to return boxes to the same rooms where they had packed them up. But after they left, I discovered that part of the reason for their speed on the packing and storing end of the job was caused by the fact that they had not properly labeled any of the boxes. Bottom line is that I had to spend hours re-working from their mistakes. None of the moving crew who worked on the pack-up end of the job were present for the un-pack.

They are called The Professionals and they were incredibly professional. They took better care of our furniture and stuff than I?ve ever seen that any move would do. They are very competitively priced. They really wrapped every piece of furniture incredibly well. They were very polite. The movers were very capable. Little guys that were mentally strong; I just can?t say anything bad about them. They were great. I would use their services again in the future.

Scheduled moving day easily on line. Received 10 free moving boxes, per the Angie's List coupon. Guys showed up 15 minutes early,moved fast, did a great job. Considerate and professional. This was our second time using them and we'd use them again for sure.

I sent my move request via email and they were very timely in their response. I had to reschedule my move date a couple of times and they were very accommodating. On the move day they arrived on time at 8:00. My building has a rule that you can't move until 9 am...unfortunately they enforced that rule. So the movers came into my apartment and got started wrapping all the furniture in padding so as not to waste the hour we had to wait before using the elevator. They were very careful with my things, even those that weren't marked fragile. The estimate had been $400 for about 4 hours of moving time; they finished in 3 1/4 hours so the total was about $370 including materials (you have to pay for shrink wrap.) Very friendly and professional movers, I highly recommend them! This was my second move in 4 months and I experienced the same high level of service both times. Will definitely use them again.

They treated my belongings like professionals. All business. They were pretty close on the time necessary to make the move along with the price. They were on time. Not a bunch of hidden fees. They wrapped-up my bed and couch with shrink wrap along with my TV and wall art. I was very impressed with these guys. I would use these guys again and highly recommend them.

We found The Professionals on Angie's List, among other companies, and selected them based on their reputation, responsiveness and a competitive price. The experience really couldn't have gone better, despite the fact we needed to reschedule our move 12 hours before it was planned to occur to take place a couple days later instead. Hila and Tomer were always good to work with getting the quote and with scheduling. The movers themselves were on-time, fast, and very careful with our belongings. And they always made sure they were putting our things where we wanted them, so we didn't have to spend the rest of the day moving things around and finding our boxes. Unfortunately, one of the movers injured himself during the move, but a replacement quickly showed up and didn't miss a beat. We will definitely use them again.

Total professionalism from start to finish- Hila, the coordinator was especially pleasant and helpful as we needed to change our moving date 2x. The 3 movers were extremely careful with our possessions- everything was wrapped well. They were fast but careful and there was plenty of snow on the ground to foul things up, but it didn't stop them. The price was appropriate for this move. I would use them again, and I will definitely recommend them to friends.

I told one of the owners about my plight. I bought a very large armoire and had movers from Craig's list bring it to my home. Under no circumstances would it fit through my front door and they had another job to go to so they left it in the hall. I hired another very horrible moving company and they couldn't get it through the side door and all of these people send it would not come apart and had to be hauled over my balcony. Since I thought it had to be hauled I looked for a company that specialized in that. The owner was very accomodating and sympathetic and deceided not to charge the extra fee for hauling because they have a minnimum 2 hour plus travel rate and knew it wouldn't take that long. The guys were very nice, not scary to be around. They were polite and professional ( no spell checker) and they were the only movers of the 3 sets that saw that it DID come apart. They were very careful with the wrapping and moving. I would definetley use again for bigger jobs although I'm not fond of the $90.00 hour travel fees for the 3 guys.

My daughter moved from one apartment to another in Chicago. I contacted Emily Day from The Professionals, Inc and a few other moving services and we decided to go with The Professionals. The move was set up for June 27,2010 and they were to arrive between 8 & 8:30 AM. They arrived promptly at 8 AM. They were not only prompt but also organized, professional and polite. My daughter didn't have much to move but was moving from a second floor apartment and was expecting a lengthy move. We were out of the old apartment and they had all of her furniture, boxes and belongings in her apartment in 2 1/2 hours. The move couldn't have gone any more smooth. We were very happy with everything and would definitely use them again.

Perfect. Made appointment via website. Was promptly called back to set up details.The movers actually arrived a little earlier than scheduled, and move was completed faster than estimated. Movers were quickly, yet careful. All of our belongings arrived at the new place in exactly the same condition as they were loaded onto the truck. Movers expeditiously moved the items into the new place even though theywere to be spread across 3 floors of real estate. I would (and have) happily recommend them to anyone I know in need of a mover.

The move went well, they showed up as scheduled and got everything moved in a timely manner. The initial estimate had to be redone several times which was annoying, but altogether a good experience at a great price.

The company was hired to move us from one condo building in Chicago to another. The company was on time. They offered to secure pack fragile items at an additional expense over and above what had been quoted. We opted for that. Notwithstanding that, one piece of furniture arrived slightly damaged. After the movers' departure, we discovered a missing item. We immediately reported the loss and were promised a call back within 24 hours. The call never came. We followed up with an e-mail and were again promised a response within 24 hours. The response never came. And as of this date (one week later), we have not heard back from the company nor has the lost item been located. A very bad mark for an otherwise highly-recommended company. The actual move went relatively smoothly with the exception of the fact that the movers were somewhat slow. We will not use the company again nor would we recommend it.

I had already dis-assembled and packed all my stuff, except clothes. They came 5 min before time, called me that they are here. 3 Guys in Uniform T-shirts with a big company truck (so the staff and the truck was NOT rented). Started working right away. Took 2.5 hours to move all the stuff from 3rd floor elevator building to the truck. 1 hour drive to new place. 1.5 hours to unload. They climbed upto 3rd floor with all the stuff. Cost: 5 hours * 90 = $450 + $45 one time travel fee + $50 for shrink wrapping 5 things (sofas and mattresses) + Tip They finished the work in quoted time. Initial quote was over the phone, later confirmed by the foreman when they came to move and inspected the stuff. They dont charge for Tape/blankets. They don't charge for Wardrobe boxes. So I didn't feel tooth and nailed like some others charge your for tape and use 50 rolls to pack. They packed all the mirrors/painting themselves. They wrapped all the wooden furniture in blankets. Although I have not un-packed completely yet, but nothing broken so far. Overall happy, out of $600. But I doubt that I could have done it myself with buddies. Its not easy to take sofas and mattresses upstairs in a 3 storey townhouse.

The true measure of a company is how it responds to problems. In this case, the move did not go perfectly, but The Professionals were indeed very professional. I've used them on occasion before and been thrilled in the past. Their movers are indeed professional and do great work. Rarely does anything get damaged. On this particular move, they didn't properly loading the ABF trailer. As a result, my goods shifted during the long-distance haul. Luckily, only a few items were damaged. The Professionals acknowledged the problem and covered my repairs. They were honest and worked with me to come up with a good solution. I would say now that they are the ONLY moving company I would deal with, because I know that I can trust them.

They did the work for me on a weekend. They gave me a minimum and maximum estimate. They did a great job, they packed up everything nice and neat. The only issue was that the total cost on the bill he gave me was $80.00 more than the maximum estimate, when I pointed this out to him he went ahead and let me pay the original estimated price.

These guys were fantastic! From the customer service folks on the phone, to the guys who were doing the work. Highly recommend this company. We had our stuff in storage for 3 weeks after we sold our condo and before we could get into our new house. The 5-man crew showed-up at the storage units early and ready to work. They worked quickly and efficiently. The truck was perfectly sized - they asked us to transport 3 floor lamps because they did not fit on the truck. Upon arrival at the new home the crew leader asked for a quick tour of the home so he could see all the rooms and where we wanted our stuff. They were very efficient in their movements and teamwork. They were done in about 4-1/2 hours. The price was the most amazing part - we've moved before and paid at least 2x what The Professionals charged. I guess we were lucky as we moved in October, which, I guess is "off season" so we paid a lower per-hour rate. The move was $600 dollars, plus a $200 tip. We appreciated their hard work and realizing it was getting on to lunchtime we brought sandwiches back for them. Each of the guys said Thank You and took a few minutes to have lunch as they were packing up their pads and carts. The crew lead also had us follow his checklist to ensure that their truck was empty, furniture wasn't damaged, and our stuff was where we wanted it to be. We plan to be in the house we moved to for a long time so we don't anticipate using these guys again. BUT....if you're considering movers.....these guys were great.

I don't understand why these guys have an A on Angie's list. I had a very typical, very troubling move with them back in 2006. My estimate was extremely low, but the final bill ended up ~3x higher. They spent most of their time- unnecessarily- wrapping things up and charging exorbitant prices for it. They moved slowly. Once the move was complete, the foreman tried to overcharge me with bad math. Would never ever use them again.

They were really easy to work with and professional. They called me back right away and the response was immediate which I really like. They were responsive to some of the changes that we had in both our move date and the number of boxes that we had; they were able to change those things and give me a quote right away. They came in under budget so there were no surprises. The movers were professional and knew what they were doing so we haven?t found anything broken. They had a better price than other companies that I contacted and they were really great to move with.
