 + -1 moreThe Professionals were excellent, kind and courteous. Fernando, the lead crew member, personally wrapped and antique walnut dresser. This piece was the most challenging to move into our new home. The crew was patient and gently communicative with each other on making the necessary maneuvers to get the dresser up the narrow stairwell. Thank you for an excellent job. The Professionals were highly recommended to me and I am now able to pass on the same recommendation.

The moving team was really efficient, friendly, and took good care of our belongings. They navigated several large pieces of furniture through tight spaces easily, and generally seemed to take the whole move in stride. Kelly and the rest of the customer service team were also very helpful fielding my questions in advance of move day. I'd definitely use the Professionals again.
Description of Work: The Professionals helped us out with our move this past weekend. We had two pick up stops and one drop off, at locations all over the north side of the city.

 + -1 moreGreat experience! Fernando and his crew were punctual, very fast, and very respectful. I could hardly keep up with how quickly and neatly they moved all my stuff. They came recommended by a friend, and they made another recommender of me. Their estimates are on the high side, but if you don't have a lot of large/complicated furniture, and if you prepare adequately before they arrive, you'll probably come in under.

Description of Work: We needed to move from a 3-bedroom condo in the city to Northern suburb with a stop in between to pick up items from our storage facility. The crew of 5 showed up early at 8:15AM and immediately got to work. We walked Oscar, the lead man, through all the items we needed to move. We packed everything in boxes ourselves, but they boxed up the TV, disassembled a bunk bed and shrink wrapped all the furniture and grill. They loaded everything in a 24-ft truck and even had a 2nd smaller truck as a backup. While we didn't really need the 2nd truck as everything would have fit into the 24-footer, they loaded the storage items into the smaller truck to make loading easier. They were out of the condo within 2 hours. A pit stop at storage facility took another 45 minutes. Upon arriving at our new home, they uploaded everything into each room per our instructions. The guys were friendly, fast, efficient, and did not brea anything. They were cognizant of all items with 'Fragile' labels. The reassembled the bunk beds and all the furniture as needed. The whole move took 6.5 hours (estimate was 9 hrs with contingency built in). We had a cashier check of $1500 but the final total came to $1265. We were told the company will send us a refund check within a week. Sure enough, we received a check the following week. Of all the moves I've done over the years, this was the most stressful leading up to the day of the move, but throughout the whole process from obtaining a quote to getting the refund check, The Professionals Moving Specialist delivered a great moving experience. I am very happy with their service. Thank you!

 + -1 moreCarlos G, Erik, and Modestu did a great job and went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied with the move - they were professional, courteous, nice, and quick with their work.
Description of Work: I moved out of a one bedroom apartment on a 3rd floor to a location about a mile away. They moved all of my stuff (and set up the bed and other furniture in less than 2 and a half hours). They wrapped my furniture when appropriate to protect it and nothing was damaged.

 + -1 moreThe move went perfectly. On time, no complaints, courteous, wrapped fragile items safely, no damage, quick. Oscar was the main person we worked with and he was good about explaining everything and asking about what to move or not move, room to move to, etc. The movers are on another level from other companies I've worked with. They can tape together 4-5 boxes and carry them in one trip. Other companies could easily have taken twice as long for the move.

 + -1 moreFantastic move. Smoothest I've had here in Chicago. Jorge, Antonio, Luis, and Andres were my team and they were amazing. Considering previous delivery people struggled to get a couple pieces of my furniture into my old apartment, these guys not only didn't hesitate to wrap and get it out, they made it up to my new place through back curvy stairs with no problem. I'd recommend the company, and this crew in particular, again in a heartbeat!

We have moved from different countries and states several times over the past 10 years and have used different moving companies including some awful ones. (Olympus Moving & Storage out of New York being the worst experience we have had). The Professionals were amazing. We decided to use them for two reasons: the first being a recommendation from a dear friend who had previously used them. Secondly their pricing was competitive when we called for a quote. The team leader Serafin and his crew were great. They were polite, hard working and they moved a two bedroom 2nd floor walk up into a single family home in three hours! If anyone has moved before you know that this is impressive. The crew shrink-wrapped everything and were careful with all of our belongings. After unpacking everything we can confirm that nothing was damaged. They also didn't try and drive up the price halfway through the move, which was refreshing considering our previous experience with other (above named) moving companies. We would absolutely recommend The Professionals for your next move.

 + -1 moreThe worst. First, they didn't use moving blankets for most of my wooden furniture, resulting in many scratches. Second, they mummified things in tape without putting moving blankets between the tape and the furniture surface. This quite literally destroyed my very nice wooden kitchen table by taking strips of the finish off the top of the table and the sides of the chairs. I will have to have the table refinished to even use it because there are large strips of finish missing. Unbelievable. Who puts moving tape directly on a finished wooden surface?! Third, instead of using the actual entrance to the building, they decided they would rather stand on the back of the truck and pass everything over a metal railing. I explicitly told them not to do that because it would loosen the railing. Did they listen? Of course not! The movers had a complete lack of respect for my belongings. Don't hire them.

Description of Work: I had requested that this team of 4 men arrive early at my home if possible, and they did, which gave me a head start as I had been worried that we might run out of time scheduled for the freight elevator. Victor, the leader, introduced himself and his three co-workers. They looked around and Victor inquired about the scope of the job and asked me about the details of what needed to be done. Within 10 minutes they set about working, wrapping the necessary items with incredible speed and efficiency, taping, loading, moving in sync like well-trained worker bees. They followed instructions, asked the right questions, and got my apartment emptied quickly. I met them at the new apartment, and they continued with the grace and coordination of a string quartet, placing my possessions in the places I specified. All this was done in record time. They were real professionals!

Will need movers again in a few months to move things out of storage--will request Victor and his team again. Wish the fees were a little less, but would use them again.

 + -1 moreThe whole experience was excellent. The time range I chose was from 8:00 am to 8:30 am. The team of Ulises, Eduardo, and Alex showed up at exactly 8:00 am. Gold star for that. I was extremely impressed by the professionalism, courtesy, and knowing exactly what they were doing. From the moment they walked in, I knew it was going to be a good move. From beginning to end, it was so well-organized it blew me away. They killed it. I was extremely lucked to have such a good team of movers as Ulises, Eduardo, and Alex. They're service was a ten plus, and they're a huge asset to the company. Thanks so much for all your help and making a stressful situation much easier to handle.

Carlos arrived on the moving day on time (a few minutes early) and had all of my items ready to move as soon as I could use the elevator. They were so efficient at packing that they had my whole apartment ready and moved into their truck and my uhaul in under 20 minutes! When the move was over I am happy to say that every item arrived just as it left. I would strongly recommend using their service to my friends and family.

 + 0 moreOscar's team were amazing! They were on time, very fast, got everything onto the 2 trucks, drove it to our new house, unloaded everything into the appropriate rooms, re-assembled bed frames. They didn't complain about anything, they took no breaks, didn't damage anything, and the whole thing was done in under 4 hours. We had gone with J&B for the move-out a month earlier and it was an absolute nightmare. Compared to that, it was like night and day. Oscar's team from The Professionals made our move-in day completely stress-free. We would absolutely recommend them and if we ever move again, we will definitely call them first.

Our online inquiry was answered immediately, and Kelly McCann was proactive in asking the needed questions and answering our questions in turn. We ended up having to change our moving date after we got our initial estimate, and Kelly got the change made quickly, easing all our worries. The moving crew, headed by Gabriel, showed up early and got us moved more quickly than we thought possible. They made sure everything got moved safely, and kept things dry despite the rain. I would definitely use this mover again, and would recommend them to everyone.

Description of Work: My daughter and her husband filled out a questionnaire online and were provided an estimate immediately. They were able to book the services online which were confirmed the same day. A reminder call came two days before. The crew was scheduled to arrive between 8:00 am and 8:30 am and arrived at 7:55 am. They took extra care with all of the things that hadn't been packed well. They pointed out any scratches on the furniture to show that things hadn't happened as part of the move. in the new house, they unpacked all of the items and assembled all of the furniture. They were very clean, courteous and professional. HIGHLY recommend.
