The guys at The Professionals Inc. helped us finish our packing and got us to our new home in one day. It was A LOT of work but these guys pulled it off without costing us an arm and a leg. Everybody worked fast and well together. Nothing broke and nothing lost or damaged. I will recommend this company to anybody I know planning a move.

Great experience! It wasn't a problem setting up the services and the job performed exceeded our expectations. The crew was amazing. There was a four man crew that arrived earlier than the scheduled time. They went over a breakdown of the costs involved and what they were going to do for us. They did more than we thought and worked extremely hard. Some people can get nervous with movers that charge by the hour working slowly or kind of dragging, not these guys. As efficient as can be and very professional from beginning to end. We ended up having our move done just shy of 3 hours with beds put together again and everything in it's place. It helped that we were well prepared in advance and only had large pieces of furniture to take over to the new house. We were so happy with the service and the crew that we tipped each member of the crew. Would definitely hire again and recommend. Hopefully it's our last move!

I called this company based on the reviews and the company responses found on Angie's List. I liked the fact the reviews were impressive, but more than that, the company responds to reviews. This shows me the company takes customer feedback seriously. To cut down on costs we packed our own belongings and had been moving smaller and lighter boxes to the new place and unpacking ourselves. I made a list of everything that we needed moved, including the heavier boxes. The move was pretty cut and dried so a home visit wasn't need and I got an estimate on the phone. The estimate was reasonable $825-$875, using 3 men. The price was based on man hours + a travel charge to the storage unit. The insurance was carefully explained and it was suggested I contact my insurance company and inform them I was moving to make sure we had proper coverage in the event something went awry. I was concerned about scheduling due to the fact I wanted to use them the following week and it's was the first week of the month but it was no problem at all. I got them on the day I wanted. The contract was e-mailed to me and I signed it electronically. I then received a confirmation via email that included some packing and moving tips. I also received a confirmation phone call the day before the move. I wasn't able to answer the call and within minutes the caller sent an email to ensure I received the message. Love that! The 3 man crew arrived on time and couldn't have been more pleasant to work with. They checked out the front and back stairs for upstairs apartment and decided the back stairs would work best. This made me very happy, I have always thought they were better for moving and have argued this point with our movers when we moved in and with delivery companies for the last 15 years. I was also happy that they loaded the last to come off the truck first and I know this isn't always the case. This saved time and in return, me money. Each appliance was completely and quickly shrink-wrapped. This protected the appliance exterior from scratches and kept the doors closed, the knobs on, the burners grates in place and so on. Again...loved it! These guys work fast! Everything was out of the house and on the truck faster than I could imagine. The one thing that slowed them down was my mammoth refrigerator. French doors and a bottom freezer. The doors had to be removed and that took some time, but it was done with care and they treated it like it was their own. When we arrived at our new home, I walked a block and a half to get coffee for me and water for the crew. When I got back everything was unloaded and they were ready to head to the storage unit. I hadn't plan on going out there, but the payment method we chose was cash (the other option is a cashier's check), and I had forgotten to hand the cash over to my son to pay them when they finished. I was 20 minutes behind them and when I arrived at the storage unit the last piece was coming off the truck. It took a few minutes for the payment to be calculated and much to my surprise it was $790. They finished 30-60 minutes sooner than expected. I completed a short survey about the service and they were off. Overall this company is Aces. Everyone I came in contact with from The Professionals was just that. A Professional. The moving crew was polite, friendly and very careful with our belongings. And they were fast. The move went smooth as silk and my husband, my son and I were all very pleased.

The Professionals moved me from my condo to my house in the suburbs. There service was great. They took good care of my belongings. The staff was prompt, professional and courteous.

I called and booked them -- it was seamless. I got a contract via email and they called to confirm prior to the move. Showed up on time and ended within the estimated time frame. It was a great experience!

I called them last minute. They responded immediately. I had a 3 man crew. They knew what they were doing and did it well. There were no extra add ons. They were the best. I was hesitant to call them because they are a distance from where I live and thought they might not want to do a job so far from their home base. I was mistaken and I am so glad I made the call.

Everything was great except for one very minor issue - a couple of days after the move, I noticed that one of my plastic filing boxes was damaged during the move. Otherwise, the movers were very professional, helpful, and friendly. They had a great attitude and made the move much less stressful than we expected it to be. Their rate was not higher than most other moving companies'. We were happy with them and would hire them again.

The phone-team was responsive and professional. The ground team (actual movers) was amazing. We had Oscar and his crew, and he was so fantastic. Not only did he keep me up to date during the move, they were able to move things we thought we'd never get out of our apartment. Fast, efficient, amazing guys who were totally respectful and careful with our things. I've moved more times than I care to count (including two cross-continent moves), and this was by far the best company I've worked with.

I've used The Professionals twice. The first time, they were amazing. The second time, there was a big difference. They broke a piece of furniture in my move and when I showed it to them, they proceeded to tell me that it was because of that type piece so therefore it wasn't their fault. (How did that make sense? The piece had been moved numerous times before without a scratch.) They also said the insurance that came automatically with the move wouldn't cover the damage. I was confused but didn't argue. They also disasembled my crib for me and when I went to put it together a few days later, not all the pieces were there. Very disaappointed considering the amount they charge per hour.

Highly suggest this company. Very good.

Choosing The Professionals was a great decision. Initially I was weary on my options for moving companies but I noticed that this company got great reviews on Angie's List and Yelp (not to mention a great score on the Better Business Bureau site) so I chose them. I later found out it was a great decision as the movers that came were prompt, efficient, and friendly! They worked so quickly that we came in below the estimated amount of time to move! Our move ended up requiring a second truck so they got one over to my house immediately for very little added cost. All of our furniture was well padded and wrapped so when they unwrapped all my furniture and my new home there was absolutely no damage at all. I would definitely recommend 'The Professionals' as a mover to work with.

Working with the Professionals was a huge relief during what was a very stressful time that included a full move-out and a cramped, week-long stay in a hotel room with two adults, an 18-month old, a dog and a cat. I was able to get a quote, schedule the move and complete the service contract all online and quickly had a confirmed move. Then, our flooring contractor changed our move-in time last minute. I expected to get some grief about the reschedule, maybe even a fee, but the Professionals team was very accommodating, no grief, no fee. The moving team showed up promptly and got things going quickly. They listened to my concerns about damaging the newly finished floors, even helped put down protective paper and took amazing care to avoid any damage to the floor. They removed their shoes any time the stepped directly on the floors and helped place felt pads on all the furniture. The team orchestrated such a fast, efficient and careful move at a very reasonable price that they will be my first choice for moving from now on.

After reading the positive reviews here on Angie's List, I placed a call to the company to request a quote for a move within the week. I spoke with Hila, who answered every question I had and came back with a quote through email in under ten minutes. The price was fantastic, given that it included a three-person team and the moving truck, so I signed up immediately. The movers arrived a couple minutes before the scheduled and, after a quick assessment of how to tackle the project at hand, began to load up their truck. Much care was given to loose items and pieces of furniture, what with securing items with shrink wrap, pads, blankets, etc. As I mentioned previously, this attention to detail yielded no damaged items and clean walls at my new location. The team was quick and efficient, and the process took less than the four hours originally quoted. I cannot say enough positive things about this moving company, and will definitely recommend them several friends that have a move on the horizon. Moving can be a stressful task to tackle, but Hila and the team definitely helped to make the transition as seamless as possible. Thanks again!

They made sure the furniture was handled carefully from start to finish. From disassembly to assembly it went very well. We had a team of three. They were all very friiendly and professional (picked the perfect name). They worked really hard.

I asked for a quote to help me move and cover/protect some heavy furniture because I am having some work done on the walls in two rooms. All they had to do was move the furniture away from the wall and into the room further to give construction workers room to work on the walls and then put on some protective coverings. For this simple job they insisted on charging me a 2.5 hour minimum plus travel time, so the cost would be almost $300. That is the same charge for many people who submitted reports for this company for an entire apartment move. They don't know how to be flexible or creative.

I found them on Angies List. They did very well. They are very prompt. They said they would be here at 8.30 A.M and they were here then. They moved everything in an orderly fashion and very quickly. They are very reasonably priced. They came in under the estimate. I would use them in the future.

Hila was great on the phone. I told her my estimate of stuff and she gave me a quote that I would fall into their min time frame of 2.5 hrs that with all fees etc would be $285. I also rented a wardrobe box that would remain in storage until I remove it and also paid $10 each to have some of the furniture shrink wrapped to keep it from getting dusty in the storage unit. They were great with confirming everything and the contract was done via email which was super convenient. The day of the move the crew was on time and very friendly and clean cut. They were very professional and FAST!!! I had originally estimated 45 boxes and forgot to mention the 12 or so non-furniture things so I was worried about the time going way over because of the extra stuff. However, they finished with about 10 minutes to spare so I still came in at the minimum, which was awesome!!! Definitely the best moving experience I've had in my 15 years & 4 moves within Chicago.

The movers were timely, professional, and polite. I have never had such an efficient and pleasant moving experience.

Overall it went good. Nothing was damaged, they showed up on time and it was cheaper than most of the quotes I got.

They showed up a few minutes beforehand and got to work quickly. They were just like their name, The Professionals. Very clean, and after removing all items, they even swept up and cleaned up after themselves.

The team arrived on time, introduced themselves by name and began working immediately. Within a little more than an hour, the truck was loaded and we were on the way to my to my house. We got stuck behind a long freight train but within the next hour-and-a-half (including the freight train) everything was in my basement intact. They came in $72 under their $380 estimate. I was very satisfied with their work as well as their price.

I got a big deal coupon from them. I thought they did the usual moving. They were quick and on time. They charged a good amount and it wasn't too expensive. There was no problem with our stuff. I got a few quotes from other companies and they were lesser.

I liked pretty much everything about them. If there is a need, I would use them again in the future too.

We were very pleased with the crew we had. They arrived a little early which was great! I was extremely impressed with how careful they were throughout the whole move. We didn't have a single item that broke. Just a few nicks on a couple pieces of furniture, but that is to be expected with any move. We will definitely use The Professionals again should we have any moving needs in the future.

This is our second time using The Professionals and we were just as happy with them the 2nd time as we were the 1st. Punctual, professional, and well priced for the level of service provided.
