This company wants potential customers to return e-mail'd estimates with an e-Signature, but then won't accept a credit card for payment (?) Say What ? This company also charged me for driving from their north Western Ave. location to 3950 North Lake Shore Dr. (bogus charge).

The movers showed up a little early, we walked through each room so I could indicate which items were going in storage (and needed to be loaded first), and which were going to the apartment. They expertly loaded our Uhaul truck in the most efficient way possible, keeping all storage items together, and loading apartment items last. Even though we were moving on one of the coldest days of the decade, the movers were completely professional and pleasant for the four hours they were there. If The Professionals offered full-service for out-of-state moves I would have liked to go that route because of their great reputation. I'm very glad we at least had them for the loading stage. They worked very quickly and used the furniture pads (provided by us) and plastic wrap (some provided by us, some by them) to protect all the furniture really well. From booking the movers via phone/email to paying them at the end (only cash or cashiers check/money order accepted - we used cash), everything went really smoothly. I tried to book a 3-person crew, but 4-person crew was suggested and that was the right call, especially in the extreme cold weather. I recommend this company for anyone moving in the Chicago area.

They did a great job, this is the 2nd time we have used them and will use them again in the future.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with The Professionals Moving Specialists. We moved the equivalent of a 3 bedroom home to our new condo that was located on the 4th floor. And the elevator was not yet running (new construction). Modesto and his crew of 4 wrapped valuables, packed misc. items, and hustled non-stop while loading. At the new place, they had to carry all of our items up to the fourth floor and never stopped. Amazing. They were polite, conscientious, careful, incredibly hard working, and even offered to pay for a broken bottle of booze (I wouldn't even consider it). The office that coordinated the entire process (Shifra & Ana) were also patient and honest about all expected costs. I underestimated just how much stuff we had and even factoring a 1 time stair charge (95.00) it still came in under expectations both in cost and time. All because of their hard work. I can't say enough good things about my experience.

The team arrived early and waited patiently until I was ready. We discussed the move in detail and they set to work. There was not a moment that this group was not completely professional and attentive to my requirements. They took direction and went over the top on wrapping and care of my furniture, boxes and the walls and railings on the move out and back in. I cannot say enough good things about this company. There will be no shopping on my part for my next move. They are my team for life! I highly recommend them.

Great service and great price. Approximately 5 hours to wrap furniture and large items, pack truck, stop at offsite storage, and unload and reassemble at the new place. Really friendly and careful movers. $660. Great value. Actual cost was within the estimate (and less than other companies I compared to).

Received a price quote from Kelly over the phone who was friendly, thorough and answered all of my questions. Decided to use their services as they were highly recommended from a friend, and Kelly sent me an online Agreement that was simple to fill out. A few days before my move, I received both a voicemail and email confirming the move with some important reminders. On moving day, Chicago was hit with a winter storm of 6 inches. This added to the already stressful moving experience, but The Professionals did such a great job the entire process went flawlessly. The three movers were polite, efficient and friendly. They did go a little crazy wrapping everything in plastic and blankets, so it took a little longer than I expected and my quote, but in the end it was worth it knowing all my stuff was protected. No damage to my belongings or either condo. The movers also unwrapped everything (though I helped a ton here too) and cleaned up all the mess of packing materials. All in all these guys might be a little more expensive than others, but worth every penny. I would highly recommend them and use them again myself personally!

This was our best move yet. There were 3 movers who showed up early for the move and went right to work. They were polite and very professional. Quickly wrapped what was needed to be wrapped and loaded the truck. Once at the new location, they unloaded, moved boxes around for us and were done in under the time allocated. Our move was less than the actual quote and I think that was because they worked quickly. I would use this company again and I would recommend them to friends.

The movers were punctual and efficient, introduced themselves and went right to work. We were moving my 92 year old mother-in-law from a house ( that she has lived in for over 60 years) to an apartment and the 3 movers made it completely stress free and trust me there has been a lot of stress over this move. They were quick and took care in everything they moved, wrapping anything that needed to be wrapped and came in under estimate! I big shout out to Victor 2, Alfredo and Juan. Thank you, definitely a great experience! Would definitely use again!

Service was great. The movers showed up on time, clearly explained details and immediately went to work. They worked very efficiently and took great care to not damage any of our things. Once we arrived at the new place, they carefully moved everything in and reassembled everything in the rooms we wanted. It was a rainy day and they made sure not to track in to the new place. While they are slightly more expensive than other movers we had received quotes from, we selected them based on the many positive reviews and are happy we did.

Everything went very well. They called 2 hours early and asked if they could come earlier & that worked out great. They are very nice & thorough. No furniture was damaged and no marks on any walls. They work as a great team.

The Professionals represent their name very well. They did a great job moving furniture and multiple boxes. They arrived on time, worked very efficiently, and were very careful. We have used them before and they are an exceptional moving company.

The crew was fantastic, speedy, and careful. The priced ended up almost exactly as quoted, which was relatively inexpensive compared to other quotes received.

Overall a very easy and hassle-free experience. The office staff replied promptly to my questions and returned phone calls quickly. The day before the move we got a call asking if we wanted to switch from a 2PM start to an 8AM start which was fine with me. The truck showed up promptly at 8AM as promised. Our move was estimated at 5-6hrs and they did what we needed in 5.5hrs. The foreman did say on arrival (after looking over our stuff) that he thought it might take a little longer and offered to add an extra person (for an additional charge of course), which we declined. They did shrinkwrap more than we initially asked (at a $10 fee per item). That said, everything arrived intact and only the dining table had some scratches on it. These guys hauled stuff up and down stairs for 5 hrs straight. Really pretty impressive. The only thing that could have been clearer was was the information on getting a Chicago moving van permit. The company just gave the city phone number and it was up to us to figure out whether we needed one or not. If you are in the city of Chicago, plan to have to go to City Hall in person and shell out $25 per location well before your move. Overall though, I would use The Professionals again.

They responded to my inquiry promptly and walked me through a telephone quote for packing and moving services. The crew arrived early for both the packing day and for the move. They worked quickly and efficiently. The move went without a hitch. Absolutely nothing was broken. They were pleasant and cheerful throughout the move and willingly repositioned furniture if we changed our mind about a placement. The final cost was remarkably close to the estimates they gave.

Everyone involved with this company was helpful, prompt and professional from the first phone call I made until the move was complete. When the moving crew arrived they were pleasant and professional. They very efficiently organized the items that needed moving. They carefully inspected everything and pointed out every preexisting scratch on my furniture. They wrapped everything in blankets, securing the blankets in place with moving tape so all my furniture was well protected. They were very careful about how items were loaded in the truck. I was also moving a few items for a friend so there were a total of four stops that needed to be made. The crew was able to be flexible in the order of those stops when a timing issue arose with one stop. The move ended up costing more than the estimate but I think that is because the disassembly and reassembly of my furniture was more involved than I believed it would be. I would not hesitate to use these movers again in the future.

Called them on a Saturday. They picked up which is good. Then after collecting all my personal data, they asked me to fill out a form with all the details that they would need to move!!! I thought it was a joke and asked them if they could send someone to do it, the lady just said no, "thats' the only way we do it". Then she said she could get all the items over the phone! Come on, it's a 3 bdr, 2500 sqft home! Do you want me to stay with you doing this inventory for 2 hours over the phone? I said it was not feasible and her response was awesome: "ALRIGHT!!!" I hung up without saying goodbye.

I hired The Professionals to move me into my 4 floor townhome and they did a fantastic job. I had recently refinished the hardwood, installed new carpet and painted the entire place. They were very careful moving everything in and there were no issues. And they were able to start early and were done in less time than the estimate! Overall a great experience and I would definitely hire them again.

The movers were RIGHT on time which was nice. I was scheduled for a 4 man crew and one truck (and knew we might have to take 2 trips). They moved everything out quickly and efficiently. They helped me pack up things that weren't quite ready to move yet. I was unprepared and they were great. We thought the move would take 7-8 hours but it ended up taking 11.5 (my fault...I wasn't totally ready). We were all exhausted but they stuck it out and wrapped up the move at 1am. Troopers!

We had used The Professionals twice before in prior moves and so went with them again. We booked moving services for a Sunday and packing services on Saturday. There was a snafu with their estimate confirmation process, which that meant that we almost did not get the packing services, but they scrambled a crew and packed up our house Friday afternoon/evening instead. The crew, which did both the packing and the move, was very nice and definitely worked hard while being conscientious with our possessions. They also provided a second, supplemental truck when it was clear that we had more stuff than the first truck could carry. All-in-all, it was a good moving experience.

The crew of 3 arrived on time. Although 2 of the crew did not speak English, the crew leader spoke English just fine and he was very professional, so that was not a problem. I estimated the job would take about 3 hours, and that turned out to be very accurate. They worked hard, were able to get a couch downstairs that I was not sure would fit through doors.

I would recommend The Professionals to anyone. They performed a full move of our condo to our new home. They were 45 min early, which we appreciated. They got to work almost immediately upon arrival. The foreman, Tom, was very professional, and explained the entire process with us. They were a four man crew that moved everything out in a few hours. They shrinkwrapped all the necessary electronics and furniture, and nothing was damaged. They made quick work of emptying our storage unit as part of the package. Moved everything to the rooms we needed them to go to with no complaint. Took apart and reassembled crib and bed. Both are functioning fine. No scratches on our newly painted walls. Done before lunch, and came in well under the estimated cost.
