The Professionals Moving Specialists

I had a great experience moving with The Professionals moving company in July 2014. They sent 3 guys who wrapped all the furniture and carried it to their truck. They were extremely efficient and followed directions well.

I was sure our move would take four hours or more (and was quoted 5-6 hours by another company) but the three guys from The Pros got it done in 3.5 hours, including driving from Lakeview to the suburbs at 8:45am. These guys hustled and had a great attitude the whole time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to everyone I know.

Without a doubt the best move we have ever had: 1. Green Boxes were incredibly convenient. Dropped off and picked up when they said they would. Boxes were clean and saved a ton of time not building and breaking down boxes. 2. Responsiveness up to move date was great. Had a few changes and questions and nothing was a problem and they were always very responsive. 3. Moved us and packed and then unpacked kitchen in only 7.5 hours. They sent a crew of 5 because of packing work, but made not go faster and in the end probably paid the same as I would have for 3 people who would have taken longer. 4. Movers were friendly and professional. Everything went where I wanted it. Asked them to set kids' rooms up first. Arrived at new house at 12:30 and had lunch delivered. They asked me when kids would get home and I told them around 3:00. They told me they wanted to set up their rooms before eating! 5. Cleaned up after themselves. No mess left behind! 6. Did all of this in only 7.5 hours.

I worked with Shifra to make arrangements for the move. She was very responsive and professional. She worked with me on the estimate and my inventory list. She was very patient up til close to the last minute when I submitted my final inventory. On moving day, there were 6 moving men and two trucks. The movers arrived about 20 minutes early, and didn't start loading the trucks until we gave them permission upon confirmation of our insurance policy that we'd bought separately. In the end, they didn't charge us for those 20 minutes. They moved very quickly, took direction very well, and none of our items was damaged (only a few minor scrapes on the walls of our old location that we were able to go back and touch up; although, we did purchase an insurance police from a 3rd party provider). It was expected to be an 8 - 10 hour job, but we were very organized and they were very efficient, so it only took 5 1/2 hours. We were glad about that, as it freed up the rest of the day for us to get some other important things done. We were able to account for every box afterward and were relieved that nothing seemed to be missing. Overall, these movers were honest, decent and hard-working.

Jose and his team were the best. They were on time, got to work right away, worked non-stop and filled 2 trucks and moved us without a glitch. They took great care wrapping the furniture and there was NO damage to anything. They were a great group- hard working and very polite. They office staff did a great job of quoting the move, were very professional and called me to make sure everything was on set for the move. I am highly recommending them!!! I thought their price was very fair for all the work they did. They don't nickel and dime you.

These guys were awesome!!! They were friendly and professional. They wrapped EVERYTHING. They were on time and they finished EARLY. The actual cost was less than the estimate. They brought everything up to my 4th floor walk up without a scratch or ding. I would surely use them again in the future.

I just used The Professionals for the second time, and they did a terrific job with my move once again. I paid to have them pack us, and not a thing was broken in any of the boxes. They were incredibly careful in the handling of our furniture, as well as making sure that our walls and floors weren't damaged during the process. I would 100% use this company again and recommend to family and friends.

A great move! The movers were right on time and got to work right away. They worked fast and asked me the right questions to ensure I was getting the service I wanted. I was moving from a 3rd floor to a 1st floor across town, and the entire move took only 2.5 hrs including travel time. They asked me to check their work to be sure I was satisfied. There was no pressure to tip although I did tip them. I would recommend these guys to anyone.

Oscar and his crew arrived right on time and knowing we only had the building freight elevator for 3 hours worked magic getting all of my furniture and boxes out of the apartment in just over 2 hours. Then when we got to the house they spent over 30 minutes trying to figure out how to get a large dining room table with non-removable legs through a very tight doorway. After finally succeeding I thanked Oscar for his efforts and he responded "we never give up". The crew certainly lived up to their name...the Professional Moving Specialists.

Were prompt in responding to our interest in their services - this is the second time we've used them. The movers were slightly early, which was good. The foreman was thorough and fast in reviewing the contents of the apartment. The team of 3 was speedy with loading and unloading the truck. Nothing was damaged during the move. They were quick, careful, and punctual.

was not a fan of the payment method. However the guys who moved me, made this move the best, easiest, most enjoyable move ever. They came and they packed everything really really well and secure. I had an all white leather sectional, and a huge glass and wood coffee table. They packed both items very securely and moved me without a scratch on them. they were very friendly and personable, and professional. I will always go with this company for every move!

I completed the questionnaire that the Professionals provided and stated that we needed multiple trips because of of our furniture was being moved to storage about 20 minutes away. All other furniture moving companies quoted multiple trucks (2-3), however, the Professionals did not indicate the number of trucks they were sending. 7 men showed up promptly at 8AM and worked continuously until about 10:30PM. Most of the other furniture companies quoted us at $7,000-$11,000, so we thought the price was far more competitive than any other moving company. I wish they actually sent an estimator out for an actual quote, especially with a move as large as ours. They move everything carefully and wrapped items adequately (including precious artwork). They did however, bend our TV stand a bit (due to placing it on top of an uneven surface during the move). I guess I should have just spoken up when I was uncomfortable with the way they secured it. In addition, when it became apparent that our move required an additional truck, nobody could get a hold of the office to request one. Outside of that, the men themselves did a fantastic job and I will likely use them again in the future.

This is the third time I've used the professionals. They really are professional. The movers come, wrap what is needed, take apart what they can, and even pop door of hinges to make the whole process sail quickly. I don't know how they manage to move our stuff with such ease. For the last two moves, the estimates have come in relatively higher than the actual cost. The last move was estimated at 5-6hrs, but they got it done in THREE! (and the estimates are on-par with other moving companies) The whole company made the whole moving day a breeze. We've had originally used another popular mover in town, but after our first 'Professional' move, we keep coming back to them.

Working with The Professionals was very easy. They were very responsive in returning my phone call and providing me with an estimate. They also followed up before and after the move to make sure I was satisfied with my experience and didn't have any questions. On the day of the move, the three men were prompt, courteous and efficient. They got straight to work and packed up my belongings quickly. Moving can be stressful however The Professionals made it easier!

I found their recommendations from Angie's List and also through the agency. Everything was excellent. They were good, and efficient.

The guys were great -- fast yet took good care of our belongings with nothing broken. Wrapped up our artwork and furniture pieces really well to avoid damage. Very friendly, too!

This was the second time I used the Professionals and I continue to be impressed! I would highly recommend them to anyone. They arrived ahead of schedule and worked very quickly to ensure they met their deadline. They took extra caution and care with my stuff. I've used other movers that complained the whole time - the team was very friendly and great to work with.

Seamless move. One leg of a bedframe seems to have been cracked in the move though. Just noticed yesterday. **UPDATE** Someone did call to find out the issue, but there was never any further follow-up. Hence downgraded the quality

In my 66 years I've moved more times than I care to remember and have lived in 3 states. Every move I had was time consuming, expensive and invariably something was damaged. NOT THIS TIME!. Hire these people. Because of a delay in the closing of the house, I had to reschedule 4 times. Each time I talked to the women at the company they were gracious and always pleasant. The day of the move the guys were on time and got right down to work and never stopped until it was over. Their team was led by the incomparable Lalo, whom in my opinion should get a huge raise, all of the guys were polite and professional and Lalo was never anxious or disinterested. This was not only the best move I've ever had but quite simply one of the most pleasant experiences I've had. These people are the best!

The 6 men arrived at exactly 8 am as arranged and "Lalo" and "Leo" got right down to business, surveying everything we had prepared for the move, along with those last minute items and difficult to pack things. NOTHING was too difficult for them to move! They were all very efficient, very agreeable, and very professional! I have some particularly precious memorabilia in a chest that seemed problematic to move, but Lalo figured out a system for each drawer to be removed and carried with enormous respect and care! Nothing was broken or even looked like it had been in a moving vehicle! I think that is when I realized that this company and these particular workers had a sense of responsibility and integrity in their work that is rare these days. I would highly recommend The Professionals Moving Specialists to anyone who is relocating and needs movers who understand the importance of careful packing, carrying, and delivering (plus disassembling and reassembling!) all done with professionalism and high standards in an efficient yet friendly manner. I actually felt much less stress during the move than preparing for it! As for the office staff, everyone was very polite, and accommodating, no matter how many times I called!

We were really impressed with this company. The whole process was super easy. Within 24 hours of requesting a quote, we had signed our confirmed move date. Our new house is only a 7 minute drive from our old house, so we just needed them to help us move our furniture and other bulky objects that we couldn't move in our large SUV. Their guys showed up 30 minutes early and set right to work. They were incredibly professional and had us confirm that they had everything out at least twice before leaving our old house. The whole process was just as easy at the new house. They made sure they got everything exactly where we wanted it. Again they had both my husband and I confirm that everything was were it should be and that their truck was empty. The best part is that the whole thing came in under our original quote. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone planning a move. It was such an easy and pleasant experience.

The did a great job! Were very punctual and careful. It took no more than two hours without any damage whatsoever. Would definitely use again.

The movers arrived promptly at 8:15 (I had been told to expect between 8 and 8:30) and immediately began loading the truck, wrapping my furniture with enthusiasm and thoroughness. I was highly impressed with the efficiency and care they took with my fragile things. They were finished in just more than half the time originally estimated, meaning that the original cost estimate provided was 50% more than what I actually paid (INCLUDING TIP.) I was thrilled as an overly high estimate is much preferred to a low ball and un-anticipated costs. Well done.
