The Professionals Moving Specialists

The Professionals, Inc are awesome! This was the first time we utilized professional movers. The "Professionals" live up to their name. We were having some remodeling work down in our house and we needed to move three rooms of furniture completely out of the house. We decided that the best (and most economical) place to store everything would be in our garage. We were a little nervous about storing everything in a garage for two weeks but with the expert advise of The Professionals everything went smoothly. When we first contacted The Professionals they asked us what furniture we were planning to move and the approximate number of boxes. Their estimate was very accurate. Their advice on preparation was helpful in saving us money and in helping us to keep everything organized. The Professionals scheduled a start time of 8am to 8:30am. They arrived promptly at 7:45am and completed the entire move by 9:15am, well within the 2.5 hour minimum. The Professionals did not skimp on manpower. There were three men who worked quickly and efficiently, not a minute was wasted,nothing was damaged. The shrink wrapped items were very well sealed, much better than I expected and well worth the ten dollar fee. The men were respectful of our our property and handled all of our belongings carefully.

I had gotten 3 bids from different movers. The Professionals bid was the lowest and came recommended by a neighbor who was a realtor and used them for her move. It went better than I had ever hoped! I was responsible for buying boxes, wrapping paper and tape. I packed the boxes and labeled them. I would estimate there were about 60 boxes and 4 rooms of furniture. They estimated 6 - 7 hours for the move and sent 4 men. Because I was super organized with the packing and the 4 men really hustled, the entire move was completely done in 4 1/2 hours; an amazing feat. They were especially careful with several pieces of furniture that I pointed out to them, crated my TV and several pieces of art. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone and would definitely use them again.

The Professionals moved us in Chicago from a 3 flat apartment (with a LOT of stairs) into a high rise building. They worked in a timely manner. We appreciated the care they took with all of our items. I will definitely use them again in the future, and I will be recommending the company to others. One thing to note is that the company's insurance team is not available on the weekends, so if you need a certificate of insurance for the move, make sure you get that in advance.

We used The Professionals for our move from a 3 bedroom apartment to single family home. Having used them two times in the past, I continue to be amazed at how they work! They were fast, but never negligent. All the guys were very nice and asked multiple times if there was anything else the could do to help. They finished earlier than expected. They also don't nickel and dime you for use of moving blankets and tape. Every step of the process from estimate and schedule through the actual move was smooth. I highly recommend these guys for any of your moving needs!

This is my second experience using The Professionals and I can honestly say that they are one of the best companies that I have ever encountered. A little background: My husband and I downsized from a 4000 sq. ft. house to a 600 sq. ft. rental apartment. So this was our plan: Move necessities of our household and 2 home based businesses (as we deemed them) from our house to our new apartment. and separate new office location. (Our first experience with The Professionals). Well, it was a great plan, but upon contemplation, we decided we needed "more stuff". After our first excellent experience we had with The Professionals, I didn't hesitate to call them again. And just like the first time, we had "stuff" that we wanted moved to both our apartment and office. The Professionals didn't disappoint. We had a new crew this time, with Moses as the lead. They moved quickly as they packed and then unpacked at both locations. Key words: Efficient, fast, professional. May I offer you a few tips, dear reader, to facilitate the efficiency of The Professionals? 1. Be ready by the time the movers arrive. Packing takes longer than you think. If I had it to do all over again, I would have hired The Professionals to pack everything, as well as move it. Previous to this move, our last move was over 20 years ago. If you don't pack boxes often, you forget all the details that make packing and unpacking easy. 2. Remember, you are paying by the hour. So make things easier on your movers. This is what I did: I used two different colors/patterns of tape to differentiate where the boxes should be delivered. (Check out Pinterest for a some really good ideas if you have a mulit-location move like we did.) Again using additional solid colors of tape, I would add a strip of yellow tape to indicate "fragile". Worked for us and the movers. I think it will work for you too. The Professionals are a Chicago based company and I find them to be very cost competitive for the good work that they do. One of my favorite companies that I highly recommend to you.

Great service, easy to deal with. We called at short notice, and they fitted us in over a weekend which was great. They arrived on time, wrapped everything carefully, and then unpacked just as carefully and efficienctly. Straightfoward and easy to deal with, I would hire them again!

We used the Professionals Moving Specialists for our move within the city and they were so great we are using them again for another in-city move. They work fast and were careful with everything so that nothing was harmed. They were also very nice and easy to work with which was nice as we have two small children. Highly recommend!

These guys worked extremely fast, yet they were very careful with my belongings. They provide free wardrobe boxes and pack up the closets for you, an added bonus. They finished an hour earlier than they had anticipated, saving me at least $100. Scheduling was super easy, and they are very punctual. I would use The Professionals again, no question.

One of the best Angie's List finds! Let me preface my remarks by saying that my last move 20 years ago was a total disaster. So the thought of downsizing our home caused me severe anxiety---until I called The Professionals. My first contact via the phone was totally professional and helpful. The gal asked several questions to get the scope of the move in order to get an estimate. I wasn't well prepared for the call, so she asked several questions that helped me to focus on what I wanted to keep vs. discard. The paperwork arrived quickly thereafter. I also received a follow up call so that we could put a tentative date on the calendar. But wouldn't you know it, I needed to change the date. No problem. I called and we worked it out. The move was easy, smooth, fast and efficient. The 4 men came ready to work and were very helpful. They worked quickly and 1 hour later, the truck was packed up! Victor was the crew leader and his crew was great. As a result of their efficiency, the total charge was $800. Words cannot describe how happy my husband and I were with these movers. I have only one regret. I should have hired The Professionals to pack my house as well. We were still packing when the movers arrived. Despite that, we got most everything we wanted out of the house. My last move was 20 years ago and I underestimated the amount of stuff my family accumulated as well as the amount of time needed to pack it all up. I didn't ask for a packing estimate, but I know that The Professionals do offer that service. I anticipate a few more moves in the future. Based on this great experience,next time, I will hire the The Professionals to handle the job from start (packing) to finish.

Excellent. My business has used the Professionals Moving Specialists 10 times in the last 3 years. ALL of the moves have gone very smoothly and we have never had any issues. We will continue to use the Professionals Moving Specialists for all of our future moves.

They were 20 minutes early and asked us when we wanted them to start. We were paying by the hour and appreciated that everyone worked fast and hard. They were kind and had great attitudes. The total move took under 4 hours with only a few scratches. We were happy with The Professionals and would use them again.

I guess well except for language barrier. Supervisor spoke English. others(3) very, very little. Would I use them again: the answer is maybe.........

They not only were punctual but early and called me to make sure it was ok. The movers, Modesto, Erik and Gonzalo were fantastic. They took extra care in every item they moved. They made my move day a breeze. I would definitely recommend them and use them for any future moves in Chicago.

After using other movers in the last, I was ready for this move to be a mediocre (at best) experience. I didn't know moving could actually be hassle free until the Professionals guys showed up on time, moved us out of our place and into our new place within 3 hours, didn't break anything or complain about anything. Such a relief. We're using them again to help us get a palette of ceramic tile from the store to the house. Love these guys.

I have used The Professionals several times now, and I am always pleasantly surprised. I have had different teams each time, and have found them to be courteous, careful and often early... In a word -Professional. It is nice to be able to schedule a service and know that they will be hardworking and respectful (of both self and others.) I will continue to use The Professionals and have recommended them to friends.

They were quick and on time. My large furniture was well wrapped and protected. Everything arrived fine in record time.

Second Chicago move and the first time I used the Professionals Moving Specialists. Booking: I booked my move LATE and the woman that I spoke to at Professional Moving Services was fantastic! I explained the issues I was having with my building elevator and she found a time that would work--although not ideal--she told me to check back, closer to the move date and see if someone cancels. I called two days before my scheduled move still..no luck on moving the time of my move. Two hours later, she called me back and was able to fit me in the morning. Great service--she could have easily just kept my original time but she went above and beyond to help. Moving: The movers were scheduled to come between 8-8:30. They knocked on the door at 8:02. They were quick, professional and very accommodating to my many requests. Jorge was a good leader--he made sure that everything was exactly as I wanted it before they left. Great work!

I have never been more excited to write a review for a company! The Professionals are exactly that..they did exactly what we had agreed upon and actually a little more! I required a condo to 2 story home move. They arrived on time and came ready to work. They were always very efficient and cost effective. I really liked that they had ample tape to really secure the packages that were packed by myself or a family member in not the best way. I appreciated the fact that they assisted in every way to make this effortless for me, inclusive of gathering seasonal items from our basement storage. JUST FANTASTIC JOB overall. My husband agreed I picked very well as this is our first time using The Professionals but It certainly won't be our last time.

The service we received from the Professionals was spectacular. Moving can be a stressful experience, but the Professionals made this move the easiest I have ever done. From scheduling to their estimation process to the actual move, everything ran like a well oiled machine. When I called to schedule my move, they were very prompt and polite. Many people are moving in the fall, but they were able to give me my preferred date without a problem. Then for estimating how much the move will cost (an often tricky prospect) they have you do an inventory of furniture and a guess at how many boxes you will have. I sent that on and they got back to me within a day with the final estimate and bid for the job. I sent that back to lock in the date. Later in the week I realized that I underestimated the number of boxes, and they were able to quickly update the estimate. As for the move day, the movers showed up on time, and immediately got to work. They included wardrobe boxes so while I was loading those with the hanging clothes they were loading all of the boxes into the truck. They worked so quickly that I only just had time to finish with the wardrobe boxes before they were done. Finally I cleared out so they could move the furniture. Moving into the new house was even quicker. I had to move quickly to keep up with their questions about where I wanted everything! In they end they were so efficient in getting all the work done, that they came in well under the final estimate. I can not recommend these movers enough, they made what could be a miserable day into an enjoyable one. I was able to enjoy the new house and they took care of everything else. I will definitely be telling my friends to use them in the future.

This company charges by the hour and they hussled the entire time, not wasting a second. I would definitely move with them again. Also, they offered to rearrange any room set-ups I did not like. Most importantly, my stuff felt SAFE with them and was in perfect condition upon delivery.

i looked on yelp to find movers b/c the idea of a big move is stressful and i found the professionals moving specialists and they got good reviews so i called them. i have to tell you it was a fantastic, almost stress free move. they took my information and emailed me a quote and they estimate on the high side so you are not shocked when bill comes in higher. So they estimated 6-6.5 hours and the day of move they showed up EARLY (which is unheard of), we spoke and i gave them the instructions of what is going where and they went and got supplies and were off to the races, they finished in about 4 hours, had packed everything and loaded on truck. i was moving cross country so did not have them unload but i have to say i drove from Chicago to LA and when i arrived, the truck was packed so well, i did not have one broken item, not a dish, not a wine glass. i was so happy!!! i highly recommend THE PROFESSIONALS MOVING SPECIALISTS bc they are professionals and they are amazing. THANK YOU!!
