The Professionals Moving Specialists

I just had my 3rd move with The Professionals last weekend. They moved us from an apartment in Lincoln Park to a house in North Center. Again, it was really great to work with them. Booking and scheduling is easy, and they called the day before to confirm the move time. The movers have always arrived on time; this time they even came early (they called to make sure it was okay if they came early first)! They worked hard and got the move done as quickly as possible. They have a great system for wrapping everything quickly, so none of our stuff got damaged. I would recommend strongly them and, although I hope not to move again for a long time, I would use them again for future moves!

Hard workers, quick to load and unload, provided suggestions on what to pack and how, cordial and interested in creating most value for customer.

They gave us a window of about noon to 2, and they came exactly at 2. We were unable to get an earlier time because we had to schedule last minute for a Saturday due to not knowing our closing date until then, so this is to be expected. I gave the head guy instructions and within 5 minutes they were underway. They were fast, and very meticulous about putting extra tape on certain boxes to keep them secure, and wrapping furniture and speakers in shrink wrap. I had to stop them from wrapping certain pieces of inexpensive bookshelves and a cat tree (!) that did not need it. So if you communicate which items you don't need wrapped, it'll save some time. Other than that, they needed very little direction. We had the boxes pretty clearly marked which rooms they should go in, and when they were in doubt, they asked. They estimated about 6 hours and finished in 4.5 hours. They did such a great job, I was happy to tip each of the three workers $30. Even with the tip, it was barely over $700, not bad for a 3 bedroom house worth of furniture and boxes! A friend recently moved into a tiny one bedroom and it cost her $1,100! I've lived in Chicago for 23 years and this was the best experience movers I've ever had. Highly recommended!

It went smoothly and they finished before their 2.5 hour minimum. All items were loaded properly and efficiently and did not move around in the uHaul. I couldn't be happier.

My move with The Professionals went really well. The moving team did a great job of being careful with all of my items, and the garment box system was not only great for items I had on hangers, but for other loose items as well. The team was prompt, efficient, courteous, and, well, Professional (pun intended.) I would definitely use these guys again, and I was especially happy, given the reasonable hourly rate.

We moved the week of the 19-inch-snow storm so the city was still covered in snow. Movers arrived on-time. Parking wasn't ideal but they made it work, they had to walk around a snow bank throughout the move out of the apartment. They were quick and had the job finished well before the estimated time. They were friendly and careful with our items.

It was fantastic! They were super helpful, wrapped up our fragile objects perfectly and no damage. Were friendly, and made sure they were completed as quickly as possible. Using them again, great service.

The Professionals were an awesome company to work with from start to finish. We had a total of 3 companies give us estimates, and the Professionals were the most competitively priced. They were very professional, and very helpful throughout the process, giving us tips on packing and ways to make our move go smoothly and efficiently. The day of the move the movers were so fast, so great. They even swept all of the sidewalks leading up to our new house so they wouldn't drag any rock salt into the house! They moved our 4 bedroom home from start to finish in 4.5hours flat. I have and will recommend The Professionals to all of our friends and family!

They came 30 minutes early which was fine and they were finished in 3.5 hours. They were GREAT!!! Profressional, and very nice. I believe Carlos was his name and he couldn't have beenanymore nicer!!

Our foreman - Julio and his crew were excellent, they were early, incredibly fast, super friendly, and done in 5 hours instead of the quoted 7.5!

We only moved a few blocks away but our new building had an elevator that wasn't accessible to the truck. It required taking everything down a ramp and over to an elevator probably 300 feet away. In spite of all that they managed to get everything moved in and hit the low end of the estimate right on the dot. After that when we thanked them for being so fast they thanked us right back for having everything in boxes. The cost was cheaper than other moving company quotes and they provided up to 10 free wardrobe boxes. They also plastic-wrapped our mattress and a few nightstands. Not only were they were so nice and so fast , but all of our belongings survived the move without damage. We couldn't believe how fast they moved and how polite they were. We will definitely only use the Professionals for all of our future moves!

The move went well. There was a snow storm the day prior. The mover helped shovel the snow out of the driveway. They worked consistantly without a break.

Though I used Professional moving specialist about a month ago but finally I managed time today to recommend the company. They were awesome during my move.This company made it so easy for me to plan move The sales guy at the office did everything possible to give me confidence, clearly explained the whole process and rest was done by crew. They made sure I get everything I asked for within the given time and within my budget. I did not get any reason to complain. I just have good words for this company.Worth the money.

These guys did a great job. It literally was 3 degrees the whole day and they worked tirelessly for 6 hours without complaining once. They were professional and nothing was damaged. We would absolutely use them again.

They were on time and professional. They did the work well. I didn’t compare their prices with the others.

Two movers arrived early, carefully wrapped all furniture and items for shipment. Unloaded items in storage unit without any damage in less than two hours.

This was the first time my wife and I used a professional moving service and we will never move ourselves again. The Professionals were so organized and fast. It was amazing to watch and they took really good care to make sure our things were protected in the truck. They showed up prompt, even a few minutes early and had all of our things out of our old place and into the new in 2.5 hours.

Service was excellent and fast, they took extra time and care to wrap everything and nothing was broken. Price was reasonable.

Moved last February and used The Professionals again. Could not have been happier. I'm so happy that I am now using them for a 3rd move next week. They arrived on time (early in fact), were fast, courteous, and helpful. Took care with the furniture and re-assembled everything properly. I cannot say enough good things about The Professionals!

True to their name, "The Professionals!" - Where do I begin.....it's 7:30 a.m on December 31st, 2014. My wife, 2 kids, and I are awaiting to be moved into our new home. The Professionals are set to come and move us at 8:30am. These guys were more than punctual, they were early. By 7:45am I have the foreman, Julio, calling me telling me that they are ready to get us going! Julio and the other 2 gentlemen were very polite and friendly. Mind you the weather was cold for the move, yet their attitude was exemplary even with the tough task of moving tons of stuff on such a cold frigid morning. We were moving about 8 miles away and these guys were at lighting efficient speed. They are a well oiled machine, working together as if they can do this in their sleep. Julio and the guys were not only quick, but careful with our items, as if it was their own things that they were moving. Once they were loaded up and on to our new home, they were even faster unloading and re-assembling everything back together. My kids were even able to sleep in their new rooms as if they were there all along. Great service, friendly workers, top notch work!

Orlando and his team were awesome! They were there on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and we're very professional. When they arrived at our apt, we still had some boxes to go. We could barely keep up with this team of 4! It took about 2.5 hours at the apt, an hour at the storage unit and then 2.5 hours at the new place. Let me tell you, our new place is a 3 story town house. They were so crazy good that I can not imagine using anyone else for a move in this area. We were reserved for 10 hours and Orlando and his team did it in 7. They didn't slow down to get the extra hours. They were consistent and worked diligently. At the conclusion all of our furniture was in the same shape as it was prior to the move. We would definitely use this company again. Excellent job!

The moving crew (Miguel, Ricardo and Roman) were outstanding. They arrived at the scheduled time and moved all the furniture and other household items in a very expeditious manner. All of the items arrived at our new location with absolutely no damage of any kind. The crew also moved a refrigerator for us to a second location. The final cost was below their original estimate. I would recommernd this company to anyone.

My experience with "The Professionals, Inc. started with telephone contact. The woman I spoke to was knowledgeable and helpful. I was moving only two large items less than 10 miles. The initial quote seemed a bit steep. The agent I spoke to contacted the owner while I waited and adjusted the cost. I appreciated that this was all accomplished during the same telephone contact, quickly and efficiently. The Professionals, Inc were available on the day that was most convenient for me. They promptly sent an e-mail with the written estimate, which I confirmed by e-mail.The process was quick and easy. The movers were scheduled to arrive at the pick up location between 9 and 9:30 am. We were very pleased that they arrived at about 8:30am.There were 3 men, who were all polite and respectful of my property. The delicate items were securely padded and arrived in perfect condition. The Professionals completed the move promptly, efficiently and definitely with professionalism from start to finish. I highly recommend this company.

These guys are so far above and beyond any other movers i have used. In July of this summer i moved out of a single family house and into temporary housing. It took three seperate movers to make that happen, one of which caused damage to a number of pieces. These guys did all of it in one move, no damage, no complaining, just made it happen and were terrific. BEST MOVING EXPERIENCE i have ever had.
