They were very professional. An arborist came out to quote me with a price. She was very nice and had a pleasant personality. They cleaned up so well after they were done with the work. The trimming was done nicely. I was very satisfied with the workers and the arborist.

There's no excuse for not returning phone calls.

I thought he was very cooperative and thoughtful, and very considerate.

I didn't think that quality service like this existed in Chicago! Although the diagnosis was very sad -- the arborist who came out said my beautiful tree is on its way to a certain death -- I was very impressed with him and his willingness to be helpful. He took time to explain what he thought may be the cause, and even took time to educate me on possible replacement options. That was obviously way above and beyond the scope of the service call, and I want the company to know how much I appreciate the time and compassion shown! I would readily recommend them to anyone with trees in their life, and will do so in the future.

Our condo association has 2 arborvitae trees which after the last snow storm had bent over and not restored themselves like they had in the past. They came out to do an assessment to see if we could save them. The specialist was very courteous and even came out earlier than originally planned after calling to confirm appointment. He informed me about what type of tree it was (which we didn't know) and gave me a few different options. After weighing them we decided to remove the trees anyway because of their delicate nature (not really suited for our sometimes severe Chicago weather). They don't really do removal but if you need tree specialists I highly recommend!

Care of trees was the third company I had look at my trees the other two told me to have the trees cut down. Shawn identified what was wrong with the trees and said that they could be saved with a series of sprays. They come out three times a year on schedule and spray the trees. I do not have to call to remind them. They do not leave any mess and I do not have to be at home when they come. The spray cycle has been very successful.

The folks at The Care of Trees are truly tree experts and I trust their knowledge. They often recommend optional treatments that, if you talk it through with them, can be put off or skipped altogether. With mature trees, though, I wouldn't use anyone else.

Communications and scheduling great. Because we mentioned Angie's List the assessment was at no charge. Crew arrived on time. Called afterward to see if work performed was satifactory. A little pricey but very professional and work done was quality (spruce stumps ground down to 6 inches below surface and wood chips from those trees spread over them). We were very pleased overall.

The company replied immediately to my inquiry and set up an appointment for an assessment. Tom was on time and extremely knowledgeable, professional and helpful. He gave us lots of information, recommendations for future planting, and let us know how to handle this tree. We are now armed with ideas and options of what to do. Thank you Tom, and thank you for the Angie's List discount! We will call you for future business!

Superb. Tom was super. He was generous with his knowledge. He also saved me some money by moving a tree rather than selling a new one. The 2 men who came out and did the work were pleasant and professional. They cleaned up behind themselves and were generous with the wood chips, as I asked. Although it cost quite a bit, two men worked hard for four hours and the original tree consult seemed thoughtful and not rushed.

Punctual, knowledgeable and professional! Said they would not be the cheapest for this type of work; but that they would be on-time. We are going with a company that is quoting us quite a bit less, and is also reputable. Alan said his company is best known for their care of trees and we'll work with them on that type of work.

THEY CHARGE TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE. I DECIDED TO GO WITH THEM BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO KEEP PAYING FOR OTHER ESTIMATES. FOR ME THEY WAIVED THE ESTIMATE FEE BECAUSE I WAS AN ANGIE'S LIST MEMBER. THE ARBORIST WAS EXCELLENT. VERY PUNCTUAL, VERY FRIENDLY. THEY ALSO REMOVED FOR FREE A MULBERRY TREE THAT WAS GROWING CLOSE TO THE ALLEY FENCE.

THE ARBORIST WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE SPENT THE NECESSARY TIME WITH US, AND GAVE US SEVERAL OPTIONS, INCLUDING PRICES FOR EACH OPTION. HE EXPLAINED IN DETAIL WHAT WOULD BE DONE. THE CREW DID A GREAT CLEAN-UP JOB. THE STREET, SIDEWALKS, AND GRASS HAD ALL OF THE DEBRIS REMOVED. WE WERE TO HAVE AN ORNAMENTAL PEAR TREE PLANTED IN THE SPOT WHERE THE SPRUCE TREE HAD BEEN. OUR ARBORIST DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WELL ON THAT, AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE RESPONSIVE AND HAD BETTER FOLLOW-UP. THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY INTERVENED. HE WAS VERY APOLOGETIC FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF HIS EMPLOYEE AND HAS PROMISED THAT HE WILL GET A TREE FOR US IN THE SPRING. (THE COST OF THE TREE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE PAID FOR THE WORK.)

GOOD AND KNOWLEDGEABLE BUT CAN'T RECOMMEND 100%. CREW NOT FULLY INFORMED ON WHAT WAS TO BE DONE WHEN THEY SHOWED UP AND TOOK A WHILE TO STRAIGHTEN OUT. WANTED STUMP CUT FLAT IN ORDER TO TURN INTO A SEAT OR SMALL TABLE AREA BUT AFTER TWO TRIES CREW STILL EITHER DIDN'T UNDERSTAND OR WELL, NOT SURE WHY THIS REQUEST WAS SO DIFFICULT TO COMPLY WITH. HOWEVER, THEY SAVED THE TREE AND OUR HOUSE FROM BEING CRUSHED BY THE DESCENDING LIMBS SO OVERALL WE WERE HAPPY. A BIT PRICEY.

ALLEN MARSHALL WAS ON TIME FOR HIS ESTIMATE, AND IMPRESSED ME SO MUCH WITH HIS PRESENTATION OF THEIR WORK PRINCIPALS, AND HIS OWN PROFESSIONALISM, THAT I WENT WITH THEM, EVEN THOUGH THIS JOB COST ME TWICE AS MUCH AS I WAS HOPING TO PAY. HOWEVER, I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT I GOT WHAT I PAID FOR. THE TREE WAS GROWING FROM 3 TRUNKS, AND WAS SO INVOLVED WITH MY NEIGHBOR'S CHAIN LINK FENCE THAT THEY COULDN'T REMOVE THE STUMP. BUT SAWED IT OFF A GRADE LEVEL. SERAFINO AND HIS CREW OF THREE CAME AND DID THE JOB WHILE I WAS AT WORK, CLEANED UP AFTERWARDS, WERE VERY RESPECTFUL OF MY NEIGHBOR'S YARD (A BIG FACTOR), AND LEFT ME ONLY A LITTLE SAWDUST TO REMEMBER MY TREE BY. ALLEN HAD PREDICTED SEVERE DAMAGE TO THIS YEARS FOLIAGE IN MY PERENNIAL GARDEN, BUT ACTUALLY, THEY HARDLY DID ANY. VERY GOOD JOB I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN, BUT ONLY FOR THINGS WHERE QUALITY WAS TOO IMPORTANT TO WORRY ABOUT THE PRICE.

THE ARBORIST CLEARLY EXPLAINED HIS SUGGESTIONS REGARDING SEVERAL AILING TREES IN OUR BACK GARDEN, AND OFFERED SEVERAL OPTIONS FOR PRUNING/REMOVAL. THE CREW WAS CONSIDERATE AND EFFICIENT, AND THOROUGHLY CLEANED UP THE DEBRIS AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED. WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE.

TCOT IS PRICEY BUT GOOD- THE ONLY ONE OF THREE SERVICES I CALLED FOR AN ESTIMATE THAT EVEN BOTHERED TO SHOW UP. THE SERVICE COST PROHIBITS ME FROM GIVING THEM AN "A", & ALSO THE FACT THAT THEY PRETTY MUCH DESTROYED HALF OF OUR FRONT FLOWER BED GRINDING THE YEW ROOTS- I GUESS THERE WAS NO WAY OF COMPLETING THE JOB OTHERWISE. ALLEN THE ARBORIST & SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, WAS GREAT- FRIENDLY & ARTICULATE.

RECEPTIONIST SET UP AN APPOINTMENT W/ ARBORIST ALLEN MATTHEWS. HE WAS ON TIME AND SPENT ABOUT 1/2 HOUR CONSULTING WITH ME. HE GAVE ME A REASONABLE ESTIMATE AND PROMISED THE WORK WOULD BE DONE WITHIN 1-2 WEEKS OF ACCEPTANCE OF BID. IT WAS. CREW OF 2 WAS ON TIME, POLITE AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. TREE LOOKS GREAT! WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THIS COMPANY FROM START TO FINISH.

HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. I MAY CALL HIM IN THE FUTURE FOR THE JOB.

THE WORK DONE WAS EXCELLENT -- THEY TRIMMED THE TREES AS PROMISED AND HAULED AWAY ALL DEBRIS. WE ALSO GOT A QUOTE FOR TRIMMING A LARGE TREE. THE ONLY DRAWBACK WITH CARE OF TREES IS THE PRICE -- PRETTY HIGH RELATIVE TO OTHER SERVICE PROVIDERS. IF YOU HAVE A SIGNIFICANT INVESTMENT IN YOUR LAWN/TREES, HOWEVER, IT PROBABLY IS WORTH IT.

HAVE USED THEM BEFORE FOR TREE REMOVAL AND TREE PLANTING. VERY SATISFIED. THEIR ESTIMATORS ARE WELL INFORMED AND HELPFUL. GOOD ADVICE ON TREE CARE.

THESE GUYS WERE UNBELIEVABLY NICE AND PROFESSIONAL.

CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO SAY HOW WONDERFUL THESE GUYS ARE. VERY PROFESSIONAL. AFTER WORKING A LONG DAY, DID NOT EVEN WANT TO ACCEPT TIP. WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE SURE THAT I, AS A CUSTOMER, WAS SATISFIED. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT SERVICE.

DAVE THE ARBORIST WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. INITIAL FERTILIZATION WAS COMPLETED. I WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE THEM IN THE FUTURE FOR THE CARE OF OUR TREES.

THE PERSON WHO CAME OUT WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL, BUT HIS PRICE FOR CUTTING DOWN 3 TREES AND A HEDGE WAS 3 TIMES THE PRICE WE GOT FROM ANOTHER SERVICE--$1800. HE ADMITTED THAT THEY WERE EXPENSIVE. THAT IS THE ONLY REASON WE DID NOT USE THEM.
