Chris arrived at the property in a timely fashion and was able to replace the ignition on the oven which was causing the oven not to heat up. In addition he took a look at the refrigerator and resolved an issue with the icemaker for no additional charge.

I puchased 2 Angies List deals for this company's services. I was able to quickly get an appointment. The service person showed up as expected. He suggested we replace a part for the fridge to get some more life out of it. The par cost around $80. Additionally I had him look at our washer which enjoys strolling around the laundry room from time to time. He tuned-up the washer, but said that the basket is damaged and that is why the machine becomes unbalanced often. The parts for the repair would have cost as much as a new machine. Overall very satisfied with the service visit.

Scheduling was easy and work was performed efficiently despite taking longer than expected. They even showed us how the machine works and gave us good advice on how to keep it running for years to come. Highly recommend!

The company called me to get an appt set up. The lady on the phone was so nice and very helpful with working on dates that work for me. The guy who came out didn't perform the work but he gave me excellent advice on my warranty and gave me number to call. Sure enough, my repairs went smoothly and it didn't cost me any additional money!

After purchasing the Big Deal, we had no issues setting up an appointment with the Appliance King. On the visit, the individual from the Appliance King (sorry can't recall his name) was on time and very prompt on fixing the dryer timer. On his visit, he also gave us some great recommendations to get our dryer vents cleaned and he even recommended a service to do so. He was very quick to repair and very knowledgeable. Also, with the use of his iPad, I was able to use my credit card to pay for the new timer and instantly be charged without worry of someone having our credit card number with them. Great job!

Chris arrived in the time frame set. He got right to work and had the oven and broiler working and everything put back together, in about an hour. That is what I would expect when calling a repair person. What I really liked about Chris, though, is that while he worked, he explained about the structure of ranges, their life expectancy, and other helpful appliance information. He was also nice to my cat who was trying to crawl into the oven.

The reminder from Angie's List, prompted me to look for the coupon. It turned out I had not printed it out. I called on 11/8/12 to make an appointment. It was set for the following Tuesday. They called later in the day and asked if the repairman could come that Thursday evening at about 5:00 PM. I said it was fine. So I went to remove the contents of the under sink area. In doing so, I bumped a pipe and it started to leak. I realized it leaked when the water was running out of the sink. So, I looked at Angie's list for a plumber. (I had problems using Angie's List. I wanted a plumber close to where I live but that part of the site was not working properly.) I chose one from Arlington Heights who was at the beginning of the list. I called and they said they could send someone in about an hour, 5:00 PM. So now I had the appliance man and the plumber at the same time! Thank heavens the repairman was an hour late and the plumber on time. (See review for plumber.) The repairman did a fine job in very little time. He charged me $55.00 for the replacement valve. Ice maker is still working just fine. Thank you, Appliance King and Angie's list.

The Appliance King was very prompt in their reply to my appointment request. They informed me which technician would be coming ahead of time and Chris (Technician) was right on time. Chris was probably one of the most knowledgeable repair people I have come across. He had significant knowledge of the appliacne he was working on and made suggestions on how to maintain it as well. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Appliance King and their employee, Chris.

I was immediately called back and scheduled for the following day. Extremely professional and knowledgable. Unable to repair problem but cleaned filter (no charge) and I was referred to the proper company to have the service necessary. Even received a follow up call the next day to make sure I was helped. Excellent experience and would recommend without reservation

They repaired the problem promptly. Happy with service in all respects.

Repair man offered even earlier service than scheduled which was nice. He came in, immediately knew what the problem was, had the part onhand and repaired quickly. Total visit was less than an hour. He was friendly and we liked him very much. Would definitely hire again.

Chris was prompt, courteous, and professional. He explained the cause of the problem, efficiently corrected it, and even though he said that the refrigerator might continue to drip for 24 hours, it did not leak after he worked on it. I am very satisfied, and I will definitely call The Appliance King when I need another appliance repaired!

They came out to check on a broken washer and charged me $49 to just say that the transmission is broken and that a new washer is needed. That is fine, BUT they would not accept a coupon that I got off of Angies List for Labor and Parts. Doesn't opening up the washer and checking for what the problem is considered to be labor????? Very frustrating.

Great service! Called Monday morning and was given a same day appointment. Chris arrived by 2p and was gone before 2:45p. Quick, efficient, and thorough. Replaced the mechanism that causes the washer to spin. Replaced the inlet hoses. Looked at the dryer. Done and done!!

The serviceman was very professional and quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the needed part.

Steve came out promptly and fixed the faulty coil. He showed me exactly what the problem was and how it was working properly once fixed. Steve was very professional and seems very knowledgeable about appliances. I would definitely call Appliance King again. Great service.

Appliance King came out that morning investigated what was wrong and returned later that afternoon with the needed part and now the oven is working great. The agent was very professional and kind. This was my 1st experience with Angie's List and I will use it everytime I need any type of service and I have also referred my friends and relatives to Angies List. The company that manufactured the oven wanted to charge close to 3 times that rate that Angie's List offered including the part that was needed. Thank you so much Angie's List for wonderful business and I will definitely use Appliance King again and again, I give them an A+

My dishwasher broke several months ago. I'd been too busy to arrange having it fixed, but I saw that Angie had a deal for large appliances. I bought it. I called to make the appointment and spoke to Leslie, who was exceptionally personable. She asked me what the problem was and I told her the dishwasher wouldn't drain. I later had to reschedule, she seemed to remember my name and was again exceptionally personable. I was told that Chris, the repairman, would arrive between 3 and 5. He got to my house at 4:15. He was upbeat and funny. He said "I hear that the dishwasher isn't draining." This indicated both that Leslie had given him the information and that he had reviewed it, two plusses in my book. (And I wish doctor's offices were as good.) He removed some screen in the dishwasher, and pulled out several pieces of paper, two large pieces of broken glass, a small plastic piece to something and several unpopped kernels of popcorn. He started the dishwasher and it worked immediately. He then said "And what's wrong with the disposal." I told him it wouldn't turn on. It just sort of whirred. He turned it on, it whirred, he thought a bit, pulled out some kind of tool, fiddled a bit and fixed it in about 5 minutes. He did warn me that it was not long for this world, but at least it's working now. He had also noticed that a hinge on the cabinet under the sink was out of alignment and fixed that, too. Dishwasher, sink and hinge were all fixed in half an hour. I asked him what I owed him and he said "No charge." He then asked how I felt about "Appliance King". I told him my love knew no bounds. And I meant it. I highly recommend "Appliance King" and Chris and have been telling all my friends and family. My Dad is bummed that I didn't tell him when Angie had the appliance sale. His range needs fixing. Thanks, Appliance King and thanks Angie.

So far so good! Very responsive and helpful in getting us scheduled and figuring out the problem with our freezer. Called us to schedule return visit so required part can be installed. Very pleased with responsiveness and professionalism. Technician was very knowledgable and helpful.

Steve inspected the stove, diagnosed the problem, fixed it--and, better yet, explained what was going on and how to prevent it in the future. And gave me a few other stove operations tips in the process. He also took a look at my refrig and made suggestions about what to replace and when. Great (and prompt) service, and much appreciated education! Huge value-add to me. No question I would use Appliance King again. Highly recommend.

The service persons arrived in the time window, diagnosed the problem and had all the parts to fix it on hand. The whole repiar too maybe 20 min! I will use the Appliance King for all my future appliance needs from now on!

They came out the previous time and in a space of little over an hour, they fixed three appliances. They were like jets. I won't use anybody else other than these people. I thought they were super responsive, super efficient and super low cost.
