The Appliance King

The serviceman said I needed a new temperature sensor which would cost $139.00. When finished, he showed me that the machine was working. I thanked him and asked for the old part. He handed me a new fuse that didn't fit my machine and told me that it was similar to the part. I again asked for the old part, he said he dropped it in the machine. I asked him to show me where he put the new part, and he made up a whole host of excuses, while fumbling around. He then went to his truck for 10 minutes. In the end, after not being able to show an old or new part, he said "just pay me $49.00", which I did, and he left quickly saying ''I look like a fool, but I'm not". I left a message asking that Chris call me regarding my service experience and sent a detailed e-mail explaining the situation. To date, no response to the email. I received a call from a woman saying she needed more information about my experience before I could talk to Chris. Big surprise given all the positive reviews.

My drying time was getting longer and longer. I called A.K and set up an appointment which was filled that day. A.K.'s service man was courteous and professional. He worked straight through and cleaned up afterward.

The service rep. was on time and courteous. Not only did he fix the problem that was occurring, but he also pointed out some other issues that needed to be addressed and gave tips/advice on how to better maintain this appliance, as well as others in my home.

I was able to get an appointment the day I called. Chris was super nice and routed around my filter in order to provide more water pressure. The only issue was that he moved the copper tubing to another water pipe and asked that I buy a cap for the old valve. When I replaced the cap, there was significant leaking. When I called over a weekend for them to come back out, I did not get a call back until the Monday. Chris did come out to fix it, they just don't seem to check the messages over the weekend. I would use them again though.

They scheduled the appointment very quickly, diagnosed the problem efficiently, and returned the next day to install the replacement pump. I was particularly impressed that the repairman fit the visit in the next day, even though it seemed to mean working late. I thought the price for both parts and labor seemed quite reasonable also. I was very pleased with this service and would definitely use Appliance King again.

Came the next day, at the promised time and fixed the problem very quickly. Also gave us a tip to prolong the life of our stove-top!

I was extremely happy with this company. The window of time for the service call was 2 hours and they showed up at the the earliest time.

It turned out to be a very minor thing- it was defrosting all the time. They were excellent in all respects.

Chris was very professional, efficient and neat. Cleaned up after completing job. He determined the problem quickly and made the needed repairs. He also took the time to answer questions regarding the appliance. His staff is also very helpful on the phone in identifying the problem and following up so that Chris is prepared with any needed parts for your appointment.

Excellent. He called in advance and showed up on time. He explained what was wrong with the freezer and how he was going to fix it. Very professional and speedy.

They diagnosed over the phone potentially 2 different parts that may be the problem. They ordered both but I would not have to pay for both if not used. The first appointment had to be cancelled because the parts had not come in. The guy showed up bit late for the 2nd appointment. Only one part, the cheaper part, had to be replaced however I had to double check the bill with him that he charged me the price for the cheaper part - which I think was an honest mistake. People in my condo have said this repair costs $500 which it would have if both parts were needed. The repair man said some companies just do both even though it may not be needed and considering what my neighbors have paid this is probably true.

Outstanding service! Price was the lowest of 4 quotes. Service was fast, clean, pleasant and on time. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

Repairman came on time, was polite, and identified the problem immediately. The price was very reasonable.

THE COMPANY WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH. THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE AND SET UP MY FIRST APPOINTMENT RIGHT AWAY. I WAS GIVEN A 2 HOUR WINDOW, AND CHRIS, THE REPAIRMAN, SHOWED UP WITHIN THE WINDOW OF TIME. HIS WORK WAS FAST AND EFFICIENT. THE REPAIR OF THE FREEZER INVOLVED DEFROSTING COILS WHICH INVOLVED A LOT OF WATER, BUT NOT A DROP WAS SPILLED. HE WAS CONSIDERATE AND NEAT. THE DRYER TIMER PART TOOK ABOUT A WEEK TO ARRIVE, AND THE COMPANY CALLED RIGHT AWAY TO SET UP A TIME FOR THE LAST VISIT TO INSTALL IT. AGAIN, CHRIS MADE IT DURING THE APPOINTMENT WINDOW. AGAIN, HE WAS EFFICIENT AND PLEASANT. HE IS KIND AND ANSWERED ANY QUESTION I HAD. I POSTED THE COMPANY'S BUSINESS CARD IN MY CONDO BUILDING'S LOBBY AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM AND USE THEIR SERVICES AGAIN.

Called and left a message. Also called another company for rates, and they called back first, and arranged for a repair call before The Appliance King returned call.

Chris showed up on time, and even waited for me to get home because I was running late. He diagnosed the problem within moments, ordered the new part, and came back to make the repair the following week. The price was reasonable, and what I had expected to pay. They were very friendly when I called, and I would definitely call them again.

I called and left a message with my name, number and description of the problem. They never returned the call.

THE WORKMAN WAS ON TIME, POLITE, AND CLEAN. HE IDENTIFIED WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE MACHINE AND RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE TIMER. HE ORDERED A TIMER AND TOLD ME THE COMPANY WOULD CALL WHEN IT ARRIVED. I PLACED AT LEAST 3 CALLS TO THE APPLIANCE KING TO FIND OUT WHEN THE TIMER WOULD ARRIVE. EACH TIME THEY PROMISED TO CALL ME AND LET ME KNOW WHEN TO EXPECT THE TIMER; HOWEVER THEY NEVER DID. CLOSE TO A MONTH AFTER THE INITIAL VISIT I CALLED THEM AGAIN AND WAS TOLD THE TIMER 'HAD JUST ARRIVED'. WE SCHEDULED A RETURN VISIT TO FIX THE WASHER. THE REPAIRMAN ARRIVED ON TIME. HOWEVER HE HAD THE WRONG TIMER. HE WAS QUITE APOLOGETIC. ROUGHLY TWO WEEKS LATER THEY CAME BACK AND REPAIRED THE WASHER.

HE PUT A PART IN AND CLEANED EVERYTHING OUT. HE GOT IT WORKING. HE EVEN CAME OUT THE NEXT DAY, ON TIME AND PROFESSIONAL.

I CALLED AT 3 P.M. PANICKING BECAUSE THE FRIDGE WAS WARM, AND THE TECHNICIAN CAME OUT THE SAME DAY. WONDERFUL! HE WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. ANGIE'S LIST DISCOUNT WAS APPLIED.
