The Appliance King

Great. Appliance King is always responsive and competitive. Job took 10 minutes. Cost was for part - expensive, but unlikely that I could have got cheaper anywhere else.

Have not been disappointed by this company. Used them several times before and their service people always explain what the problem is before fixing it.

They do not accept credit cards. We called on Monday, they installed the dishwasher on SAT. After they did the work, we found out that their guys shut off the hot water and did not turn it back on. Our tenants had no hot water for a couple of days because of this. In addition, they did not secure the dishwasher in place. When our tenants open the door, the dish washer fell out!! The dishwasher is not functional as of today. I expect better service than this.

It went very well and my wife was happy for the other appliance tips they gave her.

I did not grade the price because I did not compare it with any other providers. They are exceptionally good at explaining the problem and how to fix it. I definitely got a sense of what they were doing.

The company was very easy to deal with over the phone. The serviceman showed up on time, took apart the dryer, diagnosed the problem, and repaired it promptly.

Fantastic!! They arrived in about 2 hours after my call.

I called on a Monday and got a 3:30 appointment for Wednesday. The repairman (Stephen?) showed up right on time. He opened it up, worked on it, and before he left the water was filling up and everything sounded great. However, after he left I ran the washer for the full cycle, and it didnt appear to work. I ran it two more times again before I realized it wasnt filling with water again. Unfortunately when I called the next morning they didnt have a slot available after 3:30 until Monday, so back to manually washing dishes (ugh). But Monday, the same repairman from before arrived (Stephen? Thank goodness!) and he messed around with it for quite a long time. Oddly enough, he got it working, but he was very worried because he said he didnt actually do anything to it that should make it work. He spent a nice amount of time with me showing me how the various switches work behind the scenes, since it might be that my switches (which are no longer made) are slowing going bad.

It was nice that he didnt just do the work for me, he told me how to fix it without replacing. I thought that was nice.

Unfortunately, after not showing up for two appointments made and three phone calls placed into the company with no return call, we went to another company who was much more reliable and honest. When speaking with the elderly woman on the phone, she was very abrupt.

They were very reliable came out a second time, because I thought it was cooling right and Chris came out to explain how it works and showed me that it was working properly.

Repair man explained every detail of the repair as it was being worked on. Worked for approx. 2 hours leaving no trace when the work was completed. Ive had work done on the freezer before and this was by far a more enjoyable experience and cheaper for a longer service call.

Steve, the installer, was on-time, and started the installation with the the range. The range was difficult to install because the cabinetry was not installed properly. He adjusted the range (pounded the side slightly) and was able to squeeze the range into place. The refrigerator was much easier to install, which left the dishwasher. The dishwasher turned out to be the most difficult since the space to install it was fairly small and didn t leave much room for connecting the electric, water and discharge lines. Unfortunately, the dishwasher as damaged during shipping which caused the door to leak severely and wasn t determined until we tested it. I discovered a couple days later the water line to the dishwasher was leaking beneath the sink, which could have been a serious problem. Overall, the work was average, and not much better than if you were to do it yourself. I recommend testing all the appliances prior to signing off on the job, and making sure all connections are good.

They promptly returned our call, came out with an estimate, and then showed up to do the work when they said they would be there. Work did not take very long at all, and we have a new, working ice maker.

It was a smooth experience. A pleasant women named Karen, responded to my call and helped me schedule the appointment. A young man, Chris, came to repair the fridge. He was polite, listened to me, and seemed confident in his assessment of the problem. He started to work in a timely fashion. He helped me find the refrigerator's water valve (in our basement utility room --I had no clue), was personable and had a sense of humor. Chris didn't mind my four-year-old traipsing around the work area and definitely knew how to deal with a child. He offered to move his truck and did so, when I needed to move my car from where it was parked. Overall, nice people who seem to have good work ethics.

I have also used them for other things. He is a small appliance repair guy and he is very pleasant. He has also done repairs on my washing machine and dryer too. He did very well repairing the stove. He was really helpful about suggestions and I really like him a lot. They always come out when they are supposed to and they always return calls. I never feel like they are ripping me off.

I liked the guy that came because he was really professional and very friendly. He was also very efficient and honest about what happened to my washing machine. He gave me some advice and tips on new machines and what I should buy.

They made an appointment for Tuesday, and I called them Monday to see if they could fix the microwave and they canceled the appointment. They were able to come out then Wednesday. I was told that when the dryers get old they give off a gas smell. He cleaned it and recommended replacement. He did not have the part for my microwave. When he came back to fix the microwave, I thought he was going to come look again at the dryer. Instead he just left. I got a call back from the receptionist who said Chris would be unable to fix it and I should definitely get a new dryer. I had another company come out, fix the dryer, and there is no gas smell and it is drying properly now.

We used them twice. Both times they arrived on time. With the dryer, they quickly and efficiently repaired the dryer. With the ice-maker, they explained the problem, but recommended that I contact the manufacturer for a dealer more familiar with the specific brand. While I wish the ice-maker could have been repaired, I was quite satisfied with the experience.

Everyone was great to work with, very pleasant, personable and professional. I decided to have the control panel replaced and it was done quickly, although parts had to be ordered and it took two appointments to resolve. The repair guy was very nice and gave me information on three proactive appliance tasks I could do to avoid other costly repairs.

I was very impressed with there work.

Due to sub-par installation by a previous contractor, a simple repair turned into a 2 hour ordeal late on a Friday afternoon. The technician was very professional, completed the job and even stayed through a wash and drain cycle to make sure there wasn't any leaking. This is the second time I have used Appliance King (they repaired the broiler and heat control on my oven last year) and I will definitely call them in the future for appliance repairs.

After spending a grueling hour, repairman relented that, due to poor installation of the dishwasher (not done by Appliance King) he could not perform the simple hinge replacement. Very impressed with the effort he put in to try to get the dishwasher away from the wall, as well as his sincere disappointment at not being able to repair the appliance.

Excellent. I was very satisfied with Chris' work.
