Description of Work: they replaced the starter on our Kitchenaid stove - said it was a common problem in this model at this age. The job took about 30-45 minutes at the most. I thought the price seemed high, but I don't have a sense for the going rate for this job. The repairman was very pleasant and punctual - so overall a good experience.

Description of Work: My refrigerator stopped cooling the week before Christmas. I called Appliance King and they sent Steve to inspect it and see if it could be repaired. The problem was the compressor and he spent a lot of time trying to see if he could fix it without having to replace the entire compressor. Unfortunately, he could not and recommended that we purchase a new refrigerator rather than the cost of replacing the compressor ($350-500). While he has there I mentioned we had lost a knob for our stove. He called a parts company and ordered the part for me. Then he hand-delivered it to me a month later as he lives in the town next door. I thought Steve has great and appreciated that he told me it was not worth replacing the compressor given that it was an older refrigerator.

Description of Work: One of the door springs on my dishwasher had come loose. The Appliance King came the next day and reattached the door spring.

Description of Work: They defrosted my refrigerator and repaired it because it was dripping.

Description of Work: They came twice; once in June to fix the ice maker on my Sub Zero refrigerator and once in July to fix my Kitchen Aid dish washer. Both trips were successful, the two different repair men were good humored and got right to the problem. The dishwasher needed a chip which the man had in his truck. Both service calls were done in the minimum of time. The first call was the same day and the second call was one day after the call. Very pleased with their customer service person who took the order and the repair men who did the work.

Description of Work: Clean out of lint in the interior of the dryer. Tested oven and determined a safety shut off was turning the oven off after a certain amount of time.

Description of Work: We called about a broken dishwasher. The contact person left an answering message, suggesting some things to try before someone came to the house. One of these worked, and we did not need a service call at all. I just joined this list to find a repair company and it saved me a repair call.
