I asked how much it would cost to have a specific part replaced. They examined the furnace and when that part in fact needed to be replaced, they charged exactly what they said they would and completed the work quickly.

I had no heat, the cold has been brutal here in Chicago. Spoke with the company that Wednesday evening, 2/25, he gave me a quote, promised to see me the next morning, as I had no heat. He was a bit early, i was expecting about 7:30, arrived about 7:15 am. That was OK. He Got straight to the job, got it finished, I now have a very warm house, I'm happy. Price fit my budget. I live in Denver, and have a rental property in Chicago. We found out our tenants furnace needed to be replaced on Christmas Eve, after submitting the job we heard from Tim at TDH almost immediately. He was extremely responsive throughout the process, quickly responding to my numerous questions and very willing to work with me on finding the right option. I didn t know the specifics of our old furnace, so they went above and beyond to send someone to the home to confirm we had selected the right furnace. The technician who came to do the actual install was very professional, arriving exactly at the quoted time. The furnace is in a very tight space, recognizing that he spent extra time modifying the filter access door so it would be easier for my tenants to open. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the quality of work, and the level of integrity and professionalism I experienced with TDH mechanical. I was reluctant to work with a company I only communicated with via text, but they proved themselves to be trustworthy and honest. Highly recommended!!!

Our furnace died in the middle of winter the day before a big cold front. TDH was not only the quickest to respond to us but was able to get a new furnace installed the next day for a great price. I have no complaints and would highly recommend them!

The work was completed based on my schedule and the technicians were very professional and answered all my questions in a way that was easily understood. Until now, I used another heating and cooling company for yearly maintenance, but now I will use TDH.

First, I believe TDH Mechanical is worth 5 stars, but I find that 5-star reviews are not very useful and, in my own search, appreciated reviews much more when they gave the good along with the not-so-good. I contracted with TDH this past summer to replace two ~20yo HVAC units in my duplex. After getting upwards of four quotes from contractors around the Chicagoland area, I decided on TDH Mechanical. This was based on a number of factors: competitive quote (not the cheapest quote; I believe they were 2nd lowest), quality product (based on good online reviews about Trane vs other products), TDH are commercial operators (gave me much confidence), and the customer service to Tim and his team. Tim was more than accommodating with me when I requested more documents (I requested business licenses, insurance, etc to verify their legitimacy and to protect myself) and went back and forth on the quote. His customer service ethic really showed as I truly felt he wanted my business and wanted to prove himself as a trustworthy contractor (you cannot be too careful with so many unlicensed, unbonded, uninsured contractors out there) I appreciated all of Tim's work with me ahead of time working out all the details of the project so that we could finish in completely in one day. Tim had set my expectations ahead of time that two units might take multiple days (which I was prepared for but was difficult to arrange) and I was very happy when he sent a big team over and they finished it the first day. There were a couple hiccups during the install, but once I pointed them out, the team quickly moved to rectify them (in the pouring rain nonetheless). I have delayed writing this review until my new HVAC system was up and running for a few months to account for any adjustments, breakdowns, etc that might have popped up after the new install. I am happy to report that my HVAC worked without issue for the remainder of the summer and into the fall. What has been most amazing is my savings on my heating and cooling bills since the new units were installed. The old units were near 20yo and completely clogged with dirt, dust, etc from years of abuse by the previous owners. It's evident that the entire system - HVAC and heating - were working overtime to pump air through these old units. Over the first 3 months, my electricity usage decreased by an average of 73%! (Not an exaggeration: 1235kWh for July to 617kWh for August) With those savings and no hiccups or breakdowns, I am extremely happy with my service, and am likely to use TDH Mechanical for my future repairs and to replace my furnaces in a few years time.

Technicians were very courteous. They used drop cloths in all areas they worked in. They cleaned up after the work was completed. They replaced the furnace the day before Christmas Eve. Started at noon and finished by 5pm. The price was as quoted and I considered it very reasonable. After the work was complete the owner called me personally to thank me and ask if all was well.
