Walter and his crew were great. I found Walter to be extremely responsive and prompt, things I appreciate. They work he and his crew did was top notch, and he gave me a fair price for it. He was also available on fairly short notice - within a few weeks. Some painters I contacted couldn't get me in for months! I would recommend Walter to anyone.

The condo's living room, dining room and hall were painted from a beige to off white. The kitchen from orange to a blue-grey. The bathroom from a purple to the same blue-grey. Finally the bedroom from the beige to yellow. All the walls required more than one coat and it made the condo seem very open really more to my taste than the previous colors. I was quite happy with the results.

Walter is such a great person! We had reached out to about 5 different painters in the city of Chicago. Most were quoting in the 2300-2600 range but not Walter!!! Not only did he did he do a great job he also negotiated on the price with us, he'd initially quoted $1450 but after a few changes and some negotiating he was able to give us a price within our budget which we appreciate so much as we were in the middle moving from Pittsburgh to Chicago. We will definitely use Walter in the future for any painting projects. We highly recommend him, you cannot go wrong!

I met with Walter three times, and he was always punctual and very knowledgeable. I really liked him a lot and wanted to work with him, but we had to go with another company due to our budget constraints. He is very kind and polite and was quick to get back to me with his bid. This was very helpful as we were trying to make a decision quickly in order to keep our project going. I will definitely consider hiring Walter for future projects.

Walter and his three brothers painted our two story house two weeks ago. We could not be more pleased. They were punctual, hard working people. Not only did they paint but they also repaired major cracks and uneven surfaces. They used high grade paint. They finished the job on time and left our home tidy and clean. We got bids from the top three painters on Angie?s list and Tapia was the most reasonable. We are very impressed and would recommend that company to anyone who wants a professional and reasonable paint job. Thank you Angie?s list for having such quality companies

Walter and his team were great! He was able to accommodate our two jobs on short notice and work very quickly to fit first our move-in date in our new condo, and then the delivery date of our kitchen appliances. Walter even came with a paint fan deck for us to choose our colors and finishes in advance of the job. Even though they moved quickly, they were extremely professional: the result was absolutely beautiful in all the painted rooms, even though some of the rooms were quite a bit more work than others: for example, the master bedroom required 2 coats of primer and 4 coats of paint, since it had been painted a very dark green by the previous owners. Now I wouldn't even know that there was ever dark paint, as it was completely and evenly covered. Also, the wallpaper in the kitchen and powder room were done over crumbly old plaster walls (the building is from 1916), so the removal and re-plastering process was very difficult and time-consuming, but now the walls and ceilings are smooth and evenly covered with paint. They were also very courteous and worked very cleanly, covered all the surfaces, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each job. All in all, we are extremely happy with how both jobs turned out and would not hesitate to use Tapia's Works in he future, and would highly recommend Walter and his team to our friends and neighbors! Walter and his terrific crew powerwashed and stained the south side of our house. They do real nice work and will do his best.

I spent hours looking at Angieslist to make sure i found the right painter. I was very happy with Walter in both price and quality. Benjamin Moore paint and his crew was amazing. They came in and did a great job with caulking the baseboards/trim even thou they were not paid to paint the trim. They also did some great work on a fully damaged wall that was destroyed. They really exceeded my expectations. Without a doubt I trust him and his crew in my home as they are very hard working and honorable people. He is my new painter and we will have him out to do the next condo in a few weeks and I will report back. No mess no fuss in and out in a couple of days like true pros.

Went great...Carlos was the man who did the work. Was promptly here at 9:00am and did not take break until he left 3 hours later. He made sure everything was covered up and cleaned up after he was done. Carlos did a great job of patching my ceilings.You can tell he takes a pride in his work and it shows. An A plus job. Would use them again.

Walter and his team are great. So nice to work with! They were in and out -- two people for 1.5 hours of work. I'm bringing him back to quote on the rest of my bathroom remodel without hesitation. The worker showed up on time, was very courteous?he even took his shoes off before stepping on the carpet, without being asked?and completed the job very competently. There were several holes of various sizes that needed to be patched in both plaster and drywall walls. He was sure to put plastic down underneath each work area to collect the dust from the sanding. Everything went great, would work with them again in the future.

1 1/2 to tape and mud drywall. When he left the mud was not dry. A few hours later you could see the tape and it did not look to be sanded .

Walter did a great job and was able to get all the holes patched up in 3 hours. I will probably use his services in the future as he does painting and puts up wall paper as well.

Great company, excellent workers, quality work.

Everything went really well. My unit had not been painted since the 80s and it showed. Walls were in a state of disrepair with broken plaster from previous water damage and flaking paint. Walter and his brothers did a very good job repairing and painting walls, extensive trim and ceilings. Unlike other painters who may want to up-charge you along the way for additional work they didn't expect, Walter stuck to his quoted price. I'll definitely recommend them to any family and friends who are in need of painters.

This is the second project that Walter and his brothers have done for me and they came highly recommended from a friend who had used them. My office required some plastering, removal of old painter over wallpaper on one wall and then fresh painting. They showed up in a timely manner, were careful and cleaned up after themselves and, best of all, the room looks great. Walter also made a few productive suggestions that led me to make some positive changes in what I had done. I will be using them again for some other project.

Highly recommend Walter and his crew! They worked around my schedule and painted our home while we were out of town. I expressed my concern leaving our house in the hands of his crew for four days but he reassured me his crew was trustworthy and that turned out to be the case! We returned home and found our house beautifully painted, cleaned, and everything returned to it's spot like nothing happened. The paint job was perfect... clean lines and no mistakes anywhere.

Walter was great. Very responsive and always easy to reach. He and his team were able to get us on their schedule quickly and completed the work within the timeline we had discussed. They were very clean and careful -- the condo was vacant, but they were still careful to cover the floors and fixtures. The work is very sharp and well done. Looks wonderful. His price seemed fair and the lower than other quote we received. The place looks terrific, we're really happy with the work Walter and this team did, and I will definitely use them again for any other painting projects. Highly recommended.

They were pretty responsive. Of all the painting companies I contacted (over 15), this was one of two companies that bothered returning my calls and emails. They were about $600 higher than the next closest bidder for the exact same work, so I found them just too expensive to paint 3 bedrooms in my Berwyn bungalow. I have every confidence they are an excellent company, but priced too high for someone with an inexpensive house such as myself. With typical bungalow issues of condensation due to how old houses are built, I just could not justify the price, although they were the single most responsive company. I contacted just about all the companies on Angie's List within 5 miles of 60402 in an attempt to stay local. I am disappointed with my experience with lawn care and painting professionals on Angie's List in regards to them returning my many phone calls and emails, but Tapia was not one of them.

Came out to provide an estimate for a painting job, then never got a quote. He told us that he would send over a quote two days in a row - after the second time of not hearing back from him, we didn't bother contacting him again.

The service was prompt and Mr. Tapia was very responsive. Besides a few sloppy spots, he did a good job. However, he left a gallon and 1/2 of paint in the same color which seems excessive, I understand the 1/2 or even 3/4 of a gallon, but a whole gallon... I might as well have just thrown away $45 which is approximately what the gallon cost. Also, he asked for a tip at the end which I thought was tacky, regardless, I gave him a very generous one even though it was his own business. I thought this would help me get a better estimate for another job, but I thought wrong. I later noticed that others gave him a "c" in the price category, and I now know why. Again, Mr. Tapia was very responsive, kept me informed about his progress and did the job quickly, but for the aforementioned reasons, I would not use his service again.

Walter and his crew were great to work with. They were extremely punctual and flexible to my schedule. They took great care to be very detailed and create clean lines. The previous owners had painted all ceilings with an eggshell finish to match the walls and the kitchen was painted a bright red color. Once Walter was done, you would never know. The ceilings look great (now appropriately flat white) and there is no sign of red. Beyond the great quality, they were very timely. The entire job was able to be completed in a week and a half. I would definitely hire Walter again.
